Arriving in Rome for the first time, on the way to the hotel, I decided to stop at Santa Maria Maggiore on the way. It doesn't look like a very remarkable church, the building looks more like a theater. The inside turned out to be amazingly beautiful! I want to photograph every corner of it. Beautiful stone carvings, as well as colorful marble panes and mosaics on the floor and walls. Amazing golden ceiling and lots of statues. It is one of the four papal basilicas. And when I went there, I thought that I had already got to the Vatican))). She's worth coming to her specially and seeing live.
Rome is amazing. There are a huge number of religious buildings, and Santa Maria Maggiore is undoubtedly one of the top. It's not for nothing that the architectural history course for architects examines it in detail)
This is one of the most beautiful and majestic churches that I have seen. It feels amazing, the energy is really felt, especially when you approach the cradle of Christ. I highly recommend watching it
