A colorful establishment of national cuisine in a pleasant place, a cozy corner of the park by the lake. There are tables outside, there are inside, and there is a stylized space there. The organization is on top. The food is delicious, there are some tinctures, but we were in the afternoon, unfortunately, we didn't try them, but they were served invitingly on neighboring tables. Large portions, tasty, and inexpensive, for a set of 7 tinctures, a glass of wine, a meat plate, a mushroom appetizer, cabbage with a large piece of baked meat, shish kebab, draniki, mors, they paid about 4,500 thousand rubles with Russian money. The service is excellent.
Everything else is bad.
First of all, when we were there, only one type of beer was available from the entire menu - various light Alivaria. There was no bottled water. According to the assurances, the keg is new, but it turned out to be acidic.
Secondly, they call dumplings of a strange shape by sorcerers, there are no pictures in the menu, it is impossible to understand what you order.
Third, the witchers turned out to be sorcerers, but the minced meat inside was with coarsely chopped onions and absolutely not salty.
The only thing I liked were the mushroom pancakes and a plate of bacon and a bread basket.
They brought tea and some cookies as apologies, but at +28 I didn't want to try them at all. I think the reviews on Yandex are too high. Maximum of 4.

However, when visiting on weekends, it is better to book a table in advance. We were served by a sweet young lady, Yana, who told us in detail and suggested the menu. The food and drinks are excellent, the tea and desserts are beyond praise.
A small remark. The administrator, Alexander, was not quite in the mood and had educational conversations with the staff in the hall, it was not very pleasant to listen, and it was awkward for the young ladies.

This is my old love. The tavern "By the Lake" is a place without which it is already difficult to imagine Brest. It is a very beautiful and atmospheric place, with unusual delicious food, a good location, and wonderful staff. More often I take pictures and admire outside, walking or listening to music nearby, by the lake. But sometimes I look inside. For example, for rabbit pies, pancakes or shish kebab. It's good that Brest has such an Inn!

We went according to the recommendation. The kitchen is excellent. Traditional food and drinks, the cooking quality is excellent.
The children and adults were delighted. It's a pity that we couldn't assess the location on the lake directly, because it was a winter evening, but the warm atmosphere compensated for everything.

Good evening, we arrived in Brest, saw and stopped by this wonderful courtyard on the way, 04/29/2025, it was very tasty and pleasant to expect the dishes that we chose while we were waiting, we tried different types of tinctures, we were pleasantly surprised, as it was sooo delicious!!!

Perhaps the only drawbacks are the nondescript appearance of the building and its location in a park.
But when you get inside, you begin to immerse yourself in the national culture and, of course, the cuisine.
The menu is not huge (this is a tavern, not a restaurant), but there is everything you need to make a complete impression - draniki, macaque, meat, fish, soups, desserts and of course your own tinctures and liqueurs, which by the way can be bought to take away in a stylized sealed bottle.

The price tag is not shocking.

There are outdoor spaces under the roof and indoors. It is comfortable to sit both there and there. Everything is clean and tidy. The order is being monitored.
The range of dishes is large, everything is worth a try.
We took a barbecue of different meats, a set of liqueurs, salted mushrooms, pancakes and a couple of salads. Everything was very, very on the level. Satisfying and delicious.
Katerina served us, conquered us with her beauty, attentiveness and quality of service.
Calm music from the Soviet stage was playing.
Nearby, let me remind you, there is a small lake. You can ride a catamaran or a boat around the island with a huge beautiful spreading willow.
The prices are not too high at all. It turned out to be inexpensive.
It was very tasty. We ate everything, even though we ordered it beyond our physical capabilities)

They took pork ribs - the meat was the softest and moved away from the bone, there was a gorgeous fish ambassador in the pancakes with salmon - it was not too salty, the pancakes themselves were not burnt, without a bitter crust and did not drown in oil, the dessert was magnificent, I had not eaten such a delicious cupcake for a long time. Separately, I want to note that takeaway items are neatly packaged in a package and a craft bag, if there are many packages, they offer a T-shirt for easy transfer. The very first thing that was brought to us (for a moment! After 30 minutes) It was a set of tinctures. After another 20 minutes, a basket of bread was brought. The main feed took place after 55 minutes!!! Of course, the landing was tight, but we managed to notice that the next table was served very quickly. We accepted the order at the same time, only at the next table the draniki appeared after 15 minutes, on our table, I remind you 55 minutes.
The quality of the dishes leaves much to be desired. There were 4 of us, unfortunately we did not appreciate any of the dishes... we travel a lot, but this is the first time we have met such an attitude…

The price tag is very democratic! My children and I ate for less than 100 rubles! Without alcohol. We bought it separately both for ourselves and as a gift to friends. They took horseradish and zubrovka.
We took cakes and potatoes to take away. We ate them later and they were great!
