Food in the East is a cult. And the Sarqyt restaurant is a temple of Kazakh cuisine. The entourage and atmosphere fully convey the national flavor. A singer with a Kazakh balalaika at the entrance, singing mournful songs about the endless steppe. Yurts are right in the hall, where you can fall apart and enjoy the tastes of oriental cooking with milk tea. There is even a stuffed horse of Prizhevalsky. All the waiters are in national costumes.
The cuisine is beyond praise, everything is very tasty. Author's mantas fried on a substrate of kaza (horse sausage), inside chopped meat. Juicy, just super.
Horse meat kebab. I highly recommend it, you definitely won't try it anywhere. We even tried camel hump, for me it's smoked bacon one in one). Soup from different fish breeds. The portions are large.
The prices are not democratic in comparison with other establishments in Atyrau. Be ready to pay a tidy sum. 5o it's worth it.
The restaurant honors the traditions of Islam, so alcohol is not served there. The maximum is koumiss.
In conclusion, this is a great place to get into the national flavor and taste all the delights of Oriental cuisine. It is obligatory to visit as a highlight of Atyrau.

A large hall, a good selection of dishes. But there is a decent wait for the feed, especially during rush hour. I liked the dishes, but not for 5, but for a solid 4. Incredible interior. The decor of every corner is so lovingly and attentively executed that you want to walk, admire, absorb with your eyes all this incredible beauty and aesthetics. All photos were not included in the review, but I wanted to share the incredibly appetizing dishes and the beauty of the interior. It's like I got into a Kazakh fairy tale.
The food is a separate ode. Mutton and besh were heavenly. Tender meat, thin delicious dough - it is impossible to stop. Samsa is something with different fillings and an unrealistically delicious dough. The cheesecake is fantastic. You immediately realize that here food is treated like art, with love and awe.
The staff is 5*, even more. Friendly, attentive.
Everything was perfect for me here: delicious food, fantastic interior, good service.
When you have been working in the restaurant business for many years and are engaged in staff training, you pay great attention to all the small details.

Upon arrival in Atyrau, I was looking for a more or less place in the center where I could eat in the evening and accidentally came across Sarqyt. I can say that the result exceeded my expectations. Very good service, despite the full room, I was quickly accepted an order - chicken noodle soup and salad with warm tenderloin, Turkish tea. The order also did not take long to wait, I was able to enjoy dinner.
The interior of the restaurant is very conducive to long gatherings in any company.
The staff is attentive and not intrusive.
The kitchen is delicious - I will definitely visit it in the future.
The location of the restaurant is quite convenient.

I used to look for a restaurant level in establishments, but after visiting here I can only say with a phrase, this is "a museum where they eat delicious food"! And it's cooler than the concept of a restaurant.
To be honest, I came here to kill time, on the recommendation of a new acquaintance not so long ago. He said it was good here, but I didn't think so)
If you sit here for 3 hours, like me), you can say that this is one big yurt where one big Kazakh family lives and works. But this is not just a yurt, but an exclusive, so to speak, VIP.... let's start... sit down comfortably and pour yourself some tea...) Let's go!
Staff:
Not long ago, I began to pay attention to service workers, after a case that I did not understand (in my other review). It's not that I pay attention to professionalism, more to adequacy from the outside. Believe me, this is better seen from the outside than when they communicate with you directly.
Here, the waiters work well together, cover for each other, smiles, a desire to please and even have walkie-talkies) They will not leave you without attention.
Kitchen:
It's open, and I took the second table right next to it. In general, I jumped from the table there, to another table, because the restaurant is different from all sides. It seemed to me that they were looking at me like a spy, but when there were more people, they no longer paid attention to me.
And so the kitchen... there are 10 people working on it. Quietly, calmly, smoothly, like one single mechanism, which is controlled by the head of the kitchen in a white suit. And he doesn't point his finger, as in some TV shows, but takes part. He will approach one, fix something, smile, go to the other. He will decorate the dish and give it to the waiters to serve. Dishes by the way are ceramics, copper, wood. And of course it's delicious! To be honest, when I visit Kazakhstan, I click on mutton). Because there are very few places in the Crimea where they know how to cook mutton, if not to say that they probably don't know how at all, and the Kazakhs know a lot about meat ...
Prices:
Well, where it's rich, it's not cheap. But I believe that I visited two places at once: the museum of local lore or the museum of tradition and culture and the restaurant, so it can be divided into 2.
For example, lamb with a side dish, ayran, a kettle of tea, honey and dessert cost 14k tenge or about 2000 rubles. It's not much for such a masterpiece.
I advise you to come in Company, it will be cheaper. There are dishes that do not differ much in price, but the output is under 1kg. You know what I mean)
2 musicians with dombra walk around the hall, it turns out the background of traditional melodies. It doesn't bother...
WELL, the interior:
THAT'S SOMETHING! He's the only reason you should come here. Every corner in this place is decorated to the niceties, and there is not a little space there, believe me. There are 3 banquet halls on the balcony only. There is a nursery, a mother and child room and I'm sorry, even 2 toilets. There are several yurts in the middle and even a full-length horse. In yurts, you can take photos and lie around with children. Trees, wall paintings, carpets, skins, national clothes, flags, chests, copper utensils, wicker, bricks, reeds.... I can't count everything. And everything is done complementing each other, harmonizing with each other, and not a blooper. I met the administrator of the institution, his name is Altynbek. He said that the interior was planned 3 years before the opening of the restaurant and with my usual meticulousness, I did not find any flaws.
Contact him, he will tell you everything and show you.
I won't post a lot of photos, you need to see for yourself.
I will say this, this is the 2nd place in importance, after the hotel, which I will visit with my family while in Atyrau! Bravo!
