The museum was founded in 1984 in honor of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Kyrgyz SSR. All sculptures were donated to the city by Kyrgyz sculptors participating in the international symposium of sculptors of Kyrgyzstan.
The museum's exposition includes 93 sculptures made of metal and stone. In the center of the park there is a fountain called "12 bowls".
