The hotel positions itself as 5 stars, so I will rate it accordingly - for the usual 3 stars, I would put 4 points.
We were in January 2023, to begin with, what did you like:
1. Swimming pool and Turkish bath, very beautiful
2. Nice hotel grounds
I didn't like it
1. The restaurant is just terrible. disgusting food at a high price. Tortellini 5 cheeses is a tortellini from the Subway (this is not a joke).
2. Room: weak Wi-Fi, the bed creaks, there is nothing close to 5 stars
3. Staff: there was no reaction to the disgusting food in the restaurant, they simply forgot to cook the promised breakfast with them due to early departure
In general, for a hotel that positions itself as 5 stars, this is extremely weak and unworthy.
The hotel is nice, rooms in a cave, hammam, swimming pool. But I did not understand why 5 * and why such room prices? The breakfast does not correspond to 5 stars at all. Nothing is offered except hot eggs . For a family of 4 people, 4 pieces of sausage and the same amount of cheese are served) a lot of unnecessary varieties of jam. Breakfast is a failure. Well, with dinner, not everything is so rosy, we stayed at the hotel for dinner 2 times, chicken, fish, cutlets, everything was over-dried, not juicy. Salad with goat cheese is normal)
According to the rooms, they are generally normal, but we were in Cappadocia 3 years ago, and the 3* hotel rooms were just as good, even there was a Jacuzzi in the room, and a fireplace, and balloons flew right over the terrace (by the way, if you are interested, that hotel was Traveller's Cave Hotel), from Seraphima balls are still very far away, you can't really get enough of it from the track.
In room 114, the bed creaks and water starts flowing from the toilet at night, especially sensitive people will be strained by the murmur, the first night I couldn't sleep because of this noise. Otherwise, the room is OK, warm and cozy. The only thing missing is a coffee table, there is an armchair, but there is no table, I had to drink tea on the fly.
Bottom line, it's better to take a hotel in Goreme if you're coming here to watch the balloons fly. Caves +-all the same, overpaying for a lower level, I don't see the point, in Goreme you can have rooms much cooler and much cheaper.
