A significant historical place in Tbilisi! I have not been to the baths, but we lived nearby and often visited here during walks: it is always crowded and atmospheric. By the way, the locals love this place and spend their free time here playing board games. There are many shops and cafes. Great views. Everything is very Georgian. Do not run past, plunge into this wonderful, warm atmosphere! And the architecture here is very interesting.
I have visited it many times. The smell does not interfere . Clean, beautiful. Pleasant environment. There is tea, towels, sheets, slippers. It relaxes perfectly, you come out rested and clean. You can order a paid massage, but I do without it.
One of the sights of Georgia and at the same time a wellness complex. The interior is decorated in a minimalist style, with a combination of modern and traditional Arabic design. After visiting the sauna, the skin becomes tender, breathes, and feels light.
It is worth visiting to touch the history - these baths were visited by A.S. Pushkin himself
It is necessary to visit it! Do not spare 3000 rubles for a private room with a bathroom. I went to the communal bathhouse - it's a room with 10 shower stalls. In my Uralian opinion, this cannot be called a bathhouse: there is no steam, it is humid, it is warm enough. I gave 10lari for a visit to the sauna and a scarab massage, and 20lari for a liter of tea!!!! These aunties are awesome! Don't get fooled by their suggestions. I found out about the cost of tea after I drank it...
I completely agree with Iosif Grishashvili, who said: "Not visiting these baths is like coming to Paris and not seeing the Eiffel Tower."
Tourists should understand that the sauna complex consists of several independent establishments, each of which offers its own terms of service and prices. Therefore, if you do not get into one bathhouse, do not despair — feel free to go to another and enjoy the process.
I was in the Colorful Baths, also known as the Orbelian bath. This is the most notable institution, which looks like an Uzbek madrasah. It is lined with blue tiles, and to the left of the entrance there is a plaque with a quote from Pushkin. Guides often say that Pushkin washed here.
Once inside, you can immediately book your room and visit time using a large electronic schedule or ask the administrator to do it for you. Do not hesitate for a long time, there are many people who want to visit, and there are few rooms.
I must say right away that this is the most expensive bathhouse, but also the newest and most beautiful. You won't get the expected effect at one time — you won't get younger and you won't heal your knees. But you will get an idea of what a real sulfur bath is.
At first, we had a very hot bath. We couldn't go in there for a long time, because our heart was telling us and tapping that it was dangerous. I recommend setting the temperature right away to avoid such situations.
Do not spare money for peeling (scrubbing), otherwise your visit to the bathhouse will be like if you dipped into a hot pot. Sheets, slippers and towels are not included in the price, but they can be purchased for an additional fee. I cleaned the star for the boiling water in the bathroom and for the half hour that we waited for it to cool down. It is necessary to warn about this!
It is a very popular tourist place, everyone is brought there) Indeed, the baths are sulfuric, the smell of hydrogen sulfide is present) There is a wonderful park there, for some reason, of Heydar Aliyev) with his bust. Climb a little higher to the tourist square, on the way to the waterfall down there is a staircase to the river. Go down, there's an underground passage to the Kura. It has various simple expositions, both historical and modern. But, most importantly, it is cool there and it is very pleasant to relax from the sun and heat. There is a tunnel to the landing stage on Kura, where you can drink coffee and take a boat ride around the old town or along the modern one on a half-hour excursion for 30 lari per person (wine, chacha, tea, coffee are included in the price of the trip).
It's a wonderful place. You can walk along the unusual sulfur baths in the canyon of a small river with a waterfall and visit one of several underground baths. There are public ones with a common washing room, there are private ones for 2-7 people, you can order a bath attendant who will do massage and peeling for a small fee. I recommend
The sulfur baths are worth a visit. This is not a steam room, a thermal bath. But it's cool there. Prices differ 2-3 times in different places. We were in the Sulfur baths N5, we chose according to the combination of price-quality and availability
It is a very tourist place... The locals don't really come here-it's expensive, but it's quite a good repair, not in all the baths, of course, but there are a lot of different ones here ... Well, where we got to was decent...
The old district of Tbilisi is very beautiful and colorful, You definitely need to walk here and it is better to Live in this area. A very nice place as well as the local people)
Authentic, beautiful. Pretty small on their own. The characteristic smell of sulfur. Around the cafe, you can walk to the waterfall nearby. The architecture is beautiful. A classic tourist spot, definitely worth a run or even a stay there.
I advise you to visit the baths. The rooms are different, the price depends on the size of the relaxation room and the availability of a sauna. It ranges from 70 to 200 GEL per hour. But since the water is the same everywhere and hot, the sauna is not needed. If the company is small, then in an hour of visiting you only have time to sit in the bathroom for 5 minutes a few times and relax a little. And if you take scrubbing and massage, then there is not enough time. However, they do it well.
A cool place, it reminds us that Georgia was part of Byzantium
Many guides recommend a visit, but I was there- and to be honest, especially peeling procedures- except for disgust do not cause anything, as well as visitors to the baths.
And outside is a beautiful place.
One-piece work - Pushkin's bathhouse
A wonderful place is along a small river with a waterfall. The most beautiful is the Orbelian bathhouse-royally chic-inside, like in a theater, beautiful chandeliers and interior
An expensive but pleasant entertainment for a tourist
Be prepared for the fact that the baths are SULFURIC, the smell is appropriate, they took the 4th room on their visit, the door of this one was closed and filled with fetid smells rotten testicles, then they just left the door open and the smell quickly went away, the source of the bath itself is very warm, even hot, relaxes and soothes, the situation is also very beautiful, I advise
I did not go to these baths, but only took pictures. I went to public schools and this is really the tradition of Georgia. Everyone knows each other, the regulars of the place, friendly. There are few public ones left, some expensive rooms have become. The locals are unhappy)
The baths are beautiful. Clean and smelling of hydrogen sulfide. I slept a little hot, but then you get used to it. There are also Finnish ones. Great terry towels. Tea with lemon after the steam room is very pleasant. The lack of an intermediate dressing room is a little annoying.
A must-visit in Tbilisi . Pleasant staff, modern rooms for taking sulfur baths, if necessary, you can order peeling (a woman comes to women), after such procedures you come out young and beautiful))
The colorful baths are a gorgeous place. Everything is very clean. It was nice to be here. The girl at the reception is very friendly. We ordered kisi- it was done perfectly. There is a hair dryer. The place itself is very beautiful.
I have never seen anything more luxurious than the Tiflis baths." This is how Alexander Pushkin spoke about the sulfur baths of Tbilisi. And he was right! Good effect! But dosing of the procedure is mandatory! The smell is quite tolerable and after a while it is not noticeable! The room is modest, but the rest is pleasant!
The most famous landmark of Tbilisi. The sensations are different than from a Russian bath or sauna. It is not necessary to take it with two pools, you can save money. 1 hour for steaming is quite enough.
We went to the sulfur bath on the recommendation of the guide, we did not regret it!
Contrasting a hot sulfur bath with a cold one is something!
Be sure to order a massage!
And it is better to go to a separate cabin (you can go there with the whole family), and not to the general one. One hour will be enough, a maximum of 1.5.
Well, it's very beautiful inside!
A wonderful place, the staff is very polite, the tea is delicious, very friendly and wonderfully delighted and the prices pleased. The massage is wonderful, I recommend you to visit.
This is a place of worship in Tbilisi. The baths are super, the effect of the lighting is amazing. Although sulfur can be felt by the smell, you quickly get used to it
If you have not visited the sulfur baths, then you have not been to Tbilisi. Here you can wash, massage, shaving, and tea-making. In a word, relaxation in Georgian. If you did not take any towels or slippers with you, then you can immediately take them in the form of disposable slippers and sheets. I recommend. You definitely won't regret it.
It's also a cool place, but you need to sign up in advance. We took 2 hours, massage and scrub treatments. I'm not really an amateur, but I appreciated it here, there is no steam room, you're sitting in a hot pool, the sensations are indescribable, and the smell of sulfur
We really liked it, it's not cheap, of course, but it's worth it. We were a family, my daughter liked the font with hot and cold water, the tea is good.
🙂 Excellent. It is worth visiting and choosing an option with suitable conditions and price.definitely with a swimming pool and a steam room, I don 't think I need it at all ! I did the peeling - great 👍
We went together to a room that can accommodate up to 8 people in the Royal bath complex. The price tag, of course, is cosmic. But I am delighted with the visit! The room had a relaxation area, a Finnish sauna, a massage and scrubbing area and, in fact, the pool itself with sulfur water. There is also sulfur water from the taps in the shower (there is no fresh water). We used the service of scrubbing with a special glove, in the process it is also an excellent massage - the skin was like a baby after a bath!
A wonderful place, it's just nice to go, the improvement of the body, you definitely need to go to these baths, you won't regret it, there's a pool and a steam room in one place, and it's hot enough, in general I really liked it
Is it too expensive for Russians, how is the spa? Well, if the smell of rotten eggs doesn't scare you. Try. It's really water pouring out of the rocks. At night and early in the morning, you can wash in the stream for free. By the way, in some nearby houses, heating is on this water
Whoever has never been to this bathhouse has never washed 🤣 Mega cool place. Pushkin, Lermontov, Tsars and others washed in these baths. They have existed since the 17th century . Be sure to order a scrub from a professional in his field, GAGA . The cool man washed me and wiped off all the dirt. The skin is like a baby's after these procedures. Take a steam room with two pools - cold and hot. For 3 people 300 GEL
It's not cheap. But it's worth every lari spent! After the sulfur baths, it was like being born again. By the way, there are several options for baths in the quarter, if they are Dechmanian, there are also luxurious royal chambers. Before you rush into hot water, go around and choose according to your taste and wallet.
If you come to Tbilisi - this place is a must-visit! We took a room with a Finnish sauna and a hydrogen sulfide pool, to which is attached a small pool like a well with cold water, a relaxation room. It was just the two of us. We were delighted. Price tag - yes, it's expensive, but it's worth it!
Yes, the company is normal, soap massage, so, they will stroke for 10-40 GEL for 15 minutes and no more, well, there are a lot of baths and the price tag is different, on average 100 GEL an hour for a small separate location, which is not very cheap.and so it's mostly expensive and rich)))
Well, this is a color! It so happened that the water was turned off in the hotel...for a day. In the evening I really wanted to wash up, I went there. At a reasonable price, I felt the flavor of a joint bathhouse. Everything is very tired, of course, but what can you expect from such an institution...
The baths are amazing, there are one or two pools, rooms for different numbers of people. Everything you need is on sale. It is better to sign up, because there may not be places.
It is a very interesting sight, I would like to walk further to the waterfall, I hope they will open a path soon, they have not been inside, they have admired enough from the outside.
