an incredible stunningly beautiful majestic mosque 🥰 you will feel like you are in a fairy tale. you need to see it both in daylight and at sunset. only muslims will understand the restrictions regarding appearance. the mosque is active, people pray in it, so visitors must cover their awrah. girls are allowed in only in abayas - you can buy them there or rent them. many different strict rules, but it's worth it!
Must-see! It is very beautiful and grandiose at the same time very refined. It is better to go on a weekday, taking an abaya with you. In the evening it is especially beautiful with lighting.
The mosque itself is certainly beautiful, both from the point of view of architecture and from the point of view of a simple tourist. Everything is organized very correctly and conveniently, registration for a free ticket, passage, inspection in the security control area. But the route itself for tourists has now become very short, taking photos through a narrow area covered with ribbons takes at most 15 minutes, but you can walk in ten, and that's it, on the way out. Previously, five years ago, it was possible to freely walk around the mosque and see almost everything. Therefore, the advice is simple, buy local clothes and just walk through the aisle like an ordinary visitor to the mosque. In front of the entrance to the mosque there is a fairly spacious shopping complex with a large number of cafes and restaurants, which is very convenient for those who want to retrain or have a hearty lunch before or after visiting the mosque. It is best to visit the mosque in the morning, arrive by 9:00, you need to have the right clothes with you, this will save you 50 dirhams for men and 45 for women, this is how much sets of clothes cost in the shops in front of the mosque for those tourists who want to visit the mosque but are not dressed appropriately.
It is a very beautiful and majestic place.
The scope of everything.
Starting from the way to the mosque through an underground corridor, ending with the largest crystal chandeliers weighing 12 tons and huge carpets on the floor.
I advise everyone to visit this place, I really liked the decoration of the halls, ornaments made of semi-precious stones, chandeliers, carpets, there is something to see.
Be careful, there is a dress code.
1. Clothes should not be translucent, the body should not be visible.
2. Men should have their knees covered.
3. Women are much stricter, the skirt is up to the ankles, the head is covered.
But you can rent or buy local clothes, either from a guide or at the entrance to the mosque.
We visited the Sheikh Zayed Mosque!
Full of delight!!!
Oriental luxury architecture style!
The carpet in the modeling room is very beautiful and, as it turned out, very heavy! :))
Yes, such beauty (carpet) cannot be created just like that, it takes a lot of effort!
But it was worth it!
And what gorgeous chandeliers with Swarovski crystals!!!!
It is impossible to describe all the beauty and luxury of the mosque!
It's just a must see!!!
For anyone planning to visit the Emirates, I just strongly recommend taking a trip to Abu Dhabi and visiting this magnificent piece of architectural art.
The white marble mosque is beautiful both day and evening (lighting)!
I'm sure you won't regret it
One of the most beautiful modern buildings in the world! Majestic! Engaging!
One of the most beautiful modern buildings in the world. Majestic, breathtaking! I recommend visiting in the late afternoon, before closing. There are many times fewer people. There is a chance to consider everything. And take pictures without crowds.
Admission is free. But the dress code is very strict. For men - closed knees and shoulders. For women, a floor-length dress or trousers is mandatory. Ankle covers.
A big, beautiful and gorgeous mosque! We were very impressed! Especially at sunset to watch it and you can see how it looks during the day and after sunset! Inside, it's generally royal!
It is also not far from the aquarium, you can get there by public transport, we advise you!
The control system there is worse than the president's, it's just tin!
Tips:
Men have closed knees and shoulders, without drawings and inscriptions on clothes. Lighters are being taken away, perhaps something else.
For women, everything is closed in the hem and the hands are closed by the hand, otherwise they will not be allowed to buy clothes there. You can walk around and find it for 45 dollars.
Route. The mosque is accessed from the underground shopping complex. There is also registration for admission for free. There is no need to go to the mosque, everything is underground. After registering the passage at one end, go to the checkpoint at the other end, for inspection and inspection 4 times, and after 1-2 kilometers of the tunnel, fortunately on the travolator, you can climb. Photos are strictly from the places of photographing, but you can also take them from other places. If there are gestures or something else with poses, the guard will take you out and force you to delete the photo (and from the trash too) or simply require you to delete the photo.
It's a very beautiful place. A must-visit in the UAE. The mosque is beautiful at any time of the day, but I would advise you to see it during the day. To appreciate its snow-white color (do not forget the glasses, it is simply dazzling in the sun). Well, I would like tourists to show respect for the traditions of the country they came to and dress appropriately in such places. At the entrance, you can buy an abaya or dress in accordance with the requirements - women should cover their arms, legs (no bare legs in flip-flops), heads, no trousers. It is enough for men to cover their knees and shoulders. At the entrance, you will simply be deployed and forced to dress accordingly to the place
A unique place! A must-visit! Majesty, spiritual purity, austerity, innocence... You can describe this mosque for a long time. Incredibly beautiful white marble interspersed with drawings. It is impossible to see enough. It is both expensive and quiet at the same time. I was surprised by the entrance system: through the shopping center underground, through a long, long tunnel with escalators. A very strict dress code, you can't cheat, and why behave so disrespectfully in a country with strict morals. While we were moving by bus from the last location to the mosque, the guide told us the story of the creation of this interesting place, gave abayas to women who did not have their arms and legs covered. Security is just on every meter, it won't work to sit down for a photo or touch something extra. Impressions of beauty will last for a long time 🙏
A beautiful mosque, that's for sure!
It's very atmospheric, like a business card of the UAE.
But... Unfortunately, there are...
a lot of tourists, everyone is shoving, pushing, a lot of closed areas, I want to take cool photos, but there are people everywhere, it's fenced in, it's fenced in, don't go here, don't go there, don't stand here for a long time, generally BEAUTIFUL, but not very comfortable!
Maybe that's how I got here, during rush hour, so to speak, I'll try next time)))
A very beautiful mosque, a great opportunity for visitors of other faiths to get acquainted with the culture of Muslims. The staff is very polite and correct, will help and prompt. Mandatory dress code, long closed clothes (I had a shirt dress up to my ankles, missed it without any problems, the main thing was that my hands were closed to the wrists), closed shoes, socks!!!, covered head (for women)
The name is in honor of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Stunning architecture and a spiritual miracle..snow-white domes and majestic minarets ..harmony and peace... construction began in 1996-2007. 3,000 workers from all over the world worked on the construction..Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was himself the initiator of the construction of the mosque... Allah gives and Allah takes away. when he gives, you have to thank him, and when he takes it away, you have to test your patience...
An incredibly stunning, beautiful, majestic place, stunning in its scope. I highly recommend going there if you visit the UAE. You need to see it with your own eyes. I will not tell everyone the well-known facts about the largest chandeliers and carpet, there are a lot of things in the UAE in general in the world)) But the very beauty of architecture and grandeur is breathtaking.
It's a wonderful place, very beautiful and atmospheric. But if you come without an excursion, it is quite difficult to find exactly how to get there. Well, girls must have a long sleeve and a covered head. Of course, you can buy everything there, but it's better to prepare in advance.
The beautiful mosque was visited 2 times: in the daytime and in the evening. An ordinary tourist place, with its own infrastructure, cafes and shops. The mosque itself is a delight in terms of construction, the large territory is well-maintained and modern. The center of the "tourist pilgrimage", although prayers are read, there is a feeling of emptiness and "not being prayed for" of the place.
A unique monument of the UAE. The organization is excellent, endless parking, a passage under the park in front of the mosque, where there are many souvenir shops, and eventually a magnificent white marble palace. A lot of security, a lot of tourists, but that doesn't stop you from enjoying the beauty.
We were at sunset. That's great! A majestic building, extraordinary beauty. It must be seen.
For those who have not been.:
entrance is free through the underpass after registration;
After going down, find the reception desk on the right side after the food court;
Strict dress code! women should have their arms and legs covered, a headscarf on their head, men should not wear shorts, and there should be no images of animals and people on their clothes
The mosque is very beautiful, I would like to go there.
We took an all-day tour: the Sheikh's palace, lunch at a restaurant in Abu Dhabi, the market, the Sheikh's Mosque.
The tour to the mosque itself took about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and there is very little time to go around the entire territory.
We went inside and walked along the handmade carpet.
Women have a strict dress code so that everything is covered except the face and hands. The arms, legs, neck, ankles, and hair should all be covered with an abbaye. There is control at the entrance.
There are no restrictions on clothing for men and children.
There are a lot of tourists, because of this, the traffic is long and the queues are long.
Sheikh Zayed Mosque - The White Miracle of the East…The mosque was conceived and erected as a monument in memory of the most revered man in the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, already mentioned above. The mosque can only be described in superlatives. Majestic columns, stunning marble floors, ornaments, amazing lighting - all this creates the impression of a fairy tale come to life. The interior is decorated with very expensive materials, including precious stones and gold leaf. The main prayer hall can accommodate up to 7,000 people, and the total capacity of the entire mosque is up to 70,000 ... you can write a lot about all this, but to convey all this splendor in words or photographs is a hopeless task)))therefore, I recommend everyone to definitely go and see for themselves.
The mosque is incredibly beautiful. Snow-white domes against the sky, mosaic-decorated columns, silence and perfect cleanliness. There are beautiful pools around the mosque. We got on a tour at 10 a.m., looked at the mosque inside and out. There was enough time for everything. The place is filled with God's grace. It is impossible not to feel it.
The white miracle of the East. A wonderful, beautiful, amazing place in the UAE. Mega parking. An underground passage. They explain where and how to go. The staff and security are responsive and friendly. A must-visit.
Magnificent architecture, scale and beauty.
It is very beautiful, even if you are not a Muslim, you will feel a special awe and closeness to the divine.
We were very lucky to have a guide, Leila (sensitive, attentive, pleasant voice, worries about each tourist, in a word, WELL DONE), the day with her flew by unnoticed.
An amazing mosque in every sense, it was built by the best minds and hands of modern times, architecture, design, content - all this is done and performed with love.
The whitest marble, the purest water in reservoirs, which allows you to soften your stay during the heat, a unique mosaic of precious stones laid out on the square and inlaid on vertical surfaces, mega huge doors that open and close automatically, and all this is surrounded by a garden of eden.
The mosque symbolizes the unity of believers and unites all faiths that bring peace, goodness and joy.
There is no shade of extremism and radical Islamism, all this is admired by people of other faiths and faiths.
The mosque has the largest handmade carpet in the world, the mosaic on the square is the largest in the world and is listed in the Guinness Book, the chandelier is currently the third largest in the world.
A dress code is required for visiting.
There are many shops and food areas in the underground entrance to the mosque, including a Makdak. You will not stay hungry and without souvenirs.
I thank the creators and workers who preserve this splendor.
Very beautiful!!such a scale, such luxury. The territory is beautiful, everything is well maintained, clean, modern. We didn't get to the square itself, we came at the wrong time. Everything is very strict there! When they were taking pictures, the wind blew away the scarf and exposed 3 ml on the neck, a guard immediately ran up. I thought I was going to be stabbed with a pitchfork there. In general, you need to dress very strictly, so that only your eyes stick out. Read all the rules on their official website, you also need to register there (save the QR code)
There is a separate corridor for tourists. We queued for about an hour (all the aisles, checks, the path itself), but it was worth it.
Who goes by car-you need an entrance 6
Visiting time is limited during the holidays
This is something unreal! Beauty, wealth, decoration. They read the prayer very beautifully. The photos are stunning there! I recommend visiting this mosque to admire the beauty. Women enter strictly in closed, long clothes and with a headdress. Visit, you will not regret it
The mosque was visited in April 2024.We got there by taxi. The entrance to the mosque is convenient, the taxi driver drove just to it.It is necessary to go down to the area of food courts and souvenir shops, where you need to register using a QR code, registration itself is not complicated, everything is clear, but in English.Further, if you have already purchased clothes in advance, you can go to the security area. The dress code for women is very strict, the dress should be long, the arms are closed, the head is covered with a scarf. You can buy an Abaya dress there at the same cost of 45 AED, or rent it for about 2000 Russian rubles, sellers will pick up everything quickly enough. Then, after the inspection, you should go inside, you can move on foot or with the help of a travelator. On the territory where the mosque itself is located, you can take photos and shoot videos. You can get back by bus.Everything is quite well organized and thought out.At the exit, before the start of the souvenir shops, there are restrooms on the left, where you can change clothes and put yourself in order. The impressions of visiting this place were wonderful, I recommend it.
SHEIKH ZAYED MOSQUE IN ABU DHABI: important information on visiting
1. Working hours:
on Fridays from 09:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 22:00;
on other days from 09:00 to 22:00.
During Ramadan, the working hours change, you can find out the opening hours on the official website
➡️ Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center.
2. Entrance to the mosque. To get to the mosque, you need to enter the glass dome (photo 2), take the escalator down to the underpass (there are cafes and shops in it), turn left, go to the end of the passage and then you will get to the first checkpoint.
3. Registration. Before visiting the mosque, you must register electronically. You can do this in advance on the mosque's website
➡️ Online Access Pass or on-site using a special terminal (from the escalator to the right, photo 3). It takes only a couple of minutes and as a result you get a QR code that needs to be shown at the inspection.
4. The cost of visiting the mosque: free of charge.
5. Dress code. There is a certain very strict dress code (photo 4). For men, these are trousers and a T-shirt with sleeves. Women need to cover their legs to the ankles, hands to the wrists and cover their heads with a scarf (at the same time, clothes should not be tight and transparent). If your clothes do not fit, then next to the entrance you can buy an abaya for women, and a candura for men (clothes are no longer given out here for free). The cost can be viewed in photo 6.
6. Checkpoints. At the first checkpoint, the conformity of clothing is checked, as well as the presence of registration (QR code). Then you need to go through the second checkpoint with a thorough inspection (as at the airport). If you find things during the inspection that are forbidden to be brought into the mosque, then they will need to be deposited and get a number.
We had to hand over the microphones. As it turned out, video recording with a voice on the territory of the mosque is strictly prohibited. You can only shoot videos in silence. We also saw that other visitors were forbidden to bring food, drinks and even toys.
7. Photos. You can take photos on the territory of the mosque only in specially designated places. The security guards closely monitor compliance with the rules.
P.S. Interesting facts about this mosque, as well as its photos, can be found in our social networks:
THIS IS A VACATION
An incredible building!
Everything is fine!
The room was very surprised that before entering you are in a mini-mall with coffee shops, McDonald's, toilets and shops.
I read somewhere that people should come to stand in the sun in front of the entrance, But it turned out that this was not true. Everything is very decent and not convenient!
I definitely recommend you to visit!
A magnificent white mosque. A magnificent building. It is better to visit closer to sunset to take gorgeous photos. It is important to adhere to the norms in clothing.
A must-visit! It is very beautiful, the strength and power of this place is impressive!
The photos turned out to be very cool. The visit is free of charge. We arrived by taxi ourselves, everything is very clear, we checked in and looked at everything.
An extremely beautiful and unique building, almost a work of art, monumental columns, huge carpets and chandeliers, must-visit. The only thing women are asked to wear hijabs, but they can be found on rent, I don't think this is a big problem
It's an amazing building. It's insanely beautiful. I visited both in the afternoon and in the evening, the lighting is awesome. The biggest carpet. It is very easy to get there. Girls are asked to cover up to their ankles and wrists.
Beautiful, large-scale, rich. A worthy place to touch another faith and culture. The organization of the inspection is thought out as conveniently as possible. You need to plan for at least 2 hours for everything.
Very unusual energy of this place, quiet, calm, despite the fact that there are enough people, if possible, take clothes for women with you, you can buy at the shopping center there, at least 45 dirhams one dress (for November 2024)
The scale and beauty is impressive!!! It's a very energetic place, especially for Muslims. The first time we were in the evening, and in the afternoon we were amazed by this splendor! Be sure to wear appropriate clothes!!! When you arrive at the parking lot, there is a passageway, everything can be purchased there and awesome shots are provided for you!
It's grand and very beautiful, especially in the evening. There is a whole infrastructure with shops and taverns below. A vivid example of the combination of religion, tourism and trade for a decent content of the first and main.
A very beautiful place! The scope and grandeur of both the building itself and the interior decorations are amazing! Incredible carpets, chandeliers, walls. Impressive! An interesting story)) Regardless of religion, it is worth visiting
There are a lot of tourists, but the place is the most beautiful. In my opinion, it is mandatory to visit when traveling to Abu Dhabi. Everything is very well organized. Strict rules, especially for women. There should be no exposed areas of the body (floor-length dress, headscarf)
One of the best attractions in Abu Dhabi. It is mandatory to visit.
Admission is free, the only thing you need to register on the spot or via the Internet.
There is a shopping center and a parking lot under the mosque.
Take clothes with you that do not leave naked parts of the body. You can only brush and face.
A trip to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque
From Dubai to Abu Dhabi.
The mosque is impressive, I posted a short video of how it is inside:
https://youtu.be/sjtSid4tUG8?si=Z0WXiIDtGX1QjPX7
We visited the main attractions in one day
We had a connecting flight and the rest time was about 7 hours and we went here, it's a very beautiful place! However, we got there on Friday, it was a day of prayers and a lot of people who wanted to get to the territory itself. I had a baseball cap and needed a handkerchief, they can be bought on the territory of the shopping center cost from 25 dirhams. You need to register on the site, the wifi was bad and the heat, we did not go, but just admired it from the side.
By the way, we took a taxi from the airport for 60 dirhams.
A very powerful place, admired by the volumes of the mosque! It is definitely worth visiting this place. We took a tour of Abu Dhabi from the Pulat guide, told us about the local attractions in an interesting way, visited the observation decks and a couple more mosques.
The route was made together with Pulat, based on our preferences, it is very convenient. The Sheikh Zayed Mosque is operational, so be sure to follow the traditions when visiting! I'll leave the number of the Pool, it may be useful to someone)

A must-visit, it's just great, it's better to arrive an hour before sunset, then you can explore everything in daylight, and then with the backlight, completely different impressions. Unfortunately, the entrance to the main hall of the mosque was closed for tourists, it used to be possible, but it still leaves a grand impression.
I am sure that you need to visit here once to see this White miracle of the East! White marble, luxury, grandeur, everything must be seen with your own eyes!To visit the mosque, you need to register on the website to get a cuar code, they won't let you in without it! The dress code is mandatory, they won't miss it either, I had to buy a dress on the territory, and it's not cheap! Entrance to the mosque is free!
We were on a tour of Abu Dhabi. We really liked it and it's convenient that we don't have to get there ourselves. There was enough time for the examination. Now I know how to make the most beautiful photos on Instagram))) The guide provided us with abayas (in size and height) - a separate interesting experience, we liked it)))) The mosque itself is stunningly beautiful! A huge well-groomed territory, floors, walls and columns lined with different types of marble. Amazingly beautiful chandeliers and carpets. At first it was a bit insulting that they were not allowed into the halls - you can take photos only from the doors, but if you do not limit the flow, tourists will trample all the carpets! - there are a lot of people!!! I got the impression that this is a kind of Temple of Friendship, everyone can come in to admire, but you need to respect each other. I came across the inscriptions in Russian several times, very nice. Special admiration for the entrance to the complex - it tells how the mosque was designed and built. We recommend it!
