It's a great idea to connect a restaurant with a museum. Several beautiful halls, cleanliness, order, interesting decoration. We ordered an Antique room, a very beautiful small room, and many interesting historical artifacts. Everything we ordered from the menu was very tasty, especially the barbecue salad and kebabs. They brought us wonderful pomegranate wine and fragrant bread. The service is at a high level. The whole evening is accompanied by beautiful Azerbaijani music and dancing.
This is probably the biggest restaurant I've ever visited. It's just huge, a restaurant town. There are a lot of halls and rooms. Everything is very beautifully decorated and tasteful.A few themed rooms for relaxing dinners with family or friends. I really liked the salad of Cumin tomatoes, cherries, dkua and basilica. We tried it for the first time. We appreciated the kebabs and lamb and chicken lula. Feihua compote complemented these gastronomic delights. Thanks! Let's go back! I recommend it!
A gorgeous place! We spent 3 days out of 5 days on a business trip there! Atmospheric, insanely delicious, friendly! And the tour of the museum is above all praise) The staff is very responsive and did not even kick us out when we got impudent and did not plan to leave, even after the restaurant closed. To say that you liked it, to say nothing! In general, I recommend anyone who will be in Baku to visit!
An unusual restaurant and museum in the center of Baku. The menu is varied, mainly represented by dishes of national cuisine. The place is very popular, so if you haven't reserved a table in advance, you'll have to wait 15-20 minutes. Friendly waiters. I would especially like to thank our waiter, whose name is Kamran :-) There is live music playing in the restaurant.
In general, I recommend that you definitely visit this place when you are in Baku.
An amazing place! The combination of a museum and a restaurant adds personality to the establishment. Every detail of the rooms is thought out and adds sophistication.
Delicious, the staff is pleasant, the service is at a high level!
I advise you to definitely visit this restaurant in Baku.
Atmospheric and quite tasty - we were in April 2025. A tourist should definitely go - the restaurant has a museum of Azerbaijani life, you can walk around all the floors and watch. They served us well and quickly, advised us what to order, and did not impose anything unnecessary. We were satisfied and left a tip.
We are absolutely thrilled!! I liked the idea of the museum restaurant. Each room is dedicated to a separate theme and is filled with various antiques. Live pop or traditional music is played in some halls. We also really liked the Azerbaijani cuisine. We ordered chicken with pomegranates and chicken with chestnuts. We took a lot of beautiful photos against the background of colorful interiors. When we arrive in Baku, we will definitely visit this restaurant again.
A wonderful restaurant - museum, very atmospheric, with many halls and all kinds of exhibits, every corner breathes history. The food is at the highest level, delicious grilled meat and vegetables, and, of course, excellent local, Azerbaijani wines!!!! A solid five plus!!!!
One of the best places in the city! The museum is a restaurant where they will not only provide delicious food, but also conduct an interesting tour. The dishes, serving, and portions are beyond praise. Occasionally, musicians play and dancers dance national dances. I would like to mention the work of the staff: administrators, waiters - everything is at the highest level
A great place, we had a delicious meal and enjoyed the amazing music and magnificent decorations inside the restaurant. The waiters were great, they brought everything quickly, told me what to choose, some even speak Russian, which pleased me. Good wi-fi
National , delicious cuisine . They serve us quickly. The waiters are friendly. Festive atmosphere, beautiful setting. Restaurant -museum, optional guided tour of the halls, free of charge. The reward is at your discretion. They entertain with national music and dancing.
It's a very colorful place.
Very tasty, beautiful and atmospheric. There are a lot of themed rooms, we were in "Antique", "Muellim", "Chairman", "Bay Otagi". Live mugham music in the background. Tea can be ordered in the samovar (for a large company)
We had a great dinner. There was a delicious pilaf with chestnuts and lula kebab. Very polite Russian-speaking staff. A high chair was brought for convenience. The room itself is very interesting, it was informative to look at the exhibits of the museum.
Great place
The prices are quite affordable
The atmosphere is top notch, very authentic
Guided tours of the museum restaurant are available on request (I must tell the waiter that there is interest)
The food is delicious, we recommend it
An amazing place! Tourists should definitely visit it. The restaurant is huge, there are many halls, each with its own theme, in some it would be just a pity to eat. We were in a hall with national music. Very attentive service, after ordering food, while cooking, we were given a tour of the restaurant, the tour is interesting, and the scope of the restaurant is impressive. Payment for the tour - how much will you give. The food is beyond praise. We took an assortment of kebabs, it is designed for two, we took it for three (two men and a woman), everyone ate, ate with difficulty. We took the local beer - I liked it, and the pomegranate wine - I also really liked it. They gave me a few more wines to try, advised me which ones should be taken, which ones should not. A very pleasant attitude, as friendly as possible. We are very glad that we decided to celebrate the beginning of our vacation there. It would be possible to put 10 or 100 would be put with a pure soul.
A wonderful restaurant. We thought it was a tourist place with inflated prices, but no. Delicious, very colorful, excellent service and prices are not higher than other restaurants for locals. The restaurant is an active museum where various antiques and utensils are collected. It is divided into different thematic zones and many separate rooms. Very large-located on 2 floors. I recommend a mandatory visit if you are in Baku.
This is an incredibly beautiful and charming place with great cuisine, wonderful staff and just a magical atmosphere!!! You should definitely visit here at least once.... However, you won't want to go anywhere else later)
A wonderful restaurant, with an amazing atmosphere. It's really like in a museum) It's very big. We visited once and were offered a place in the large hall on the second floor. The scale was impressive.
The choice of food is quite large. Traditional cuisine, meat dishes predominate. But there are also fish dishes. The portions are very large.
For example, there is no standard portion of pilaf, but only for two. The menu says "for two"))
A portion of pilaf 1 kg....)) so get ready that you will get a dish weighing 500 grams, this is really a lot for one))
I ordered a salad of crispy eggplant, but here it is not the same as in Nargiz. I didn't have enough tomatoes and sauce. Overall, it was delicious.
It should be borne in mind that the waiters speak Russian poorly, communicate through a Google translator))
The restaurant really lives up to its name "restaurant museum" - a very beautiful interior inside, a lot of household items and installations. Excellent service and cuisine. We ordered kutabs, pilaf - a portion of pilaf is indicated for two, we could not master 2 girls! The prices are acceptable, as in the establishments of the old city : tea kettle 5 manats, pilaf a large portion for 2 from 18-24 manats, chicken cradle 7 manats
A very interesting place, atmospheric. The restaurant is located in a 19th-century building, which we were guided through at our request. Very tasty pomegranate wine. Cool loin. Shah pilaf, flatbreads with pumpkin and meat - in general, the entire national cuisine, the master hev of Azerbaijan, is available. At the same time, the performance goes on between the tables, dancing, national music. An unforgettable experience!
We were with our family in May 2025. The first emotions were mixed: music was playing + two men were playing live instruments next to our table, it was noisy …
I really liked the interior, the dishes are delicious! The lamb entrecote is amazing, the cherry salad is above all praise). We ordered different dishes, everything was delicious!
As a result, the impressions are excellent, the food is very tasty! Respect to the chef and his team!!!
I recommend 💯!
A wonderful atmospheric place, delicious food, pleasant music. All the color in one place. Book in advance. There are many halls with their own history and different collections of antiquities and folklore.
My curiosity got the better of me after watching Heads and Tails, and I ended up in this restaurant. I wanted to experience the museum restaurant for myself. Is it really as beautiful as it looks from the screen?
Yes, I was impressed. The number of halls, the fact that they are so different is really cool. For both locals and tourists. By the way, there are many locals here who speak about the high quality of the cuisine.
I would like to mention the staff service. It is very nice that we can talk about the cuisine and you will be recommended a dish based on your preferences, so that it is really delicious for you.
I took dolma. She is really different in Azerbaijan. This restaurant uses lamb meat and almost no rice. A juicy delicious dish disappeared from my plate in minutes.
I chose tomatoes and cherries for the salad and it was perfect. I didn't know that cherry and basil are such a wonderful combination of flavors.
I tried lamb legs with chestnut. And then the surprise comes again - three simple ingredients give a wonderful taste. I appreciated it as a meat eater! 🤤
Desserts are not a strong point in Azerbaijani restaurants (Turkey is in the lead here)
A great restaurant and a museum at the same time. Apparently we need to book for the evening, but we were lucky, we found a separate room. A very decent menu with a large selection of dishes. Everything is fresh and delicious. Upon additional request, we also had a wonderful tour.
Overall, I liked the kitchen. The mutton is delicious, the service is very good. They play instruments, there are a lot of halls. The only thing I didn't like was that they didn't offer a tour of the restaurant, although other guests were offered.
Very tasty tea.
Shirvanshah restaurant. A great place in Baku to try the local cuisine. I came specially at lunch on a weekday so that there would be places. The service is very polite and cultured. They will serve you in any case in the highest class. The place is positioned as a restaurant-museum. It's really beautiful inside. Of course, no one offered a tour, but nevertheless the interiors are impressive. A kind of caravanserai in the best traditions. The food is served very quickly, the waiters are well-trained, polite and courteous. The restaurant keeps its brand. The menu is varied. You will find anything to suit your taste and wallet. The dishes are big, so you won't order much. The average check per person with wine is 40-50 manats. It's probably more profitable to take a whole bottle, I'm talking about wine. Since there was one, I took a glass of pomegranate wine, which was very tasty. The average price for a glass of wine is 9-10 manats. I recommend this place to visit.
It's just a great restaurant, for once, if you want a straight national flavor, then you're here. We didn't like the food, and the service was also very modest. The interior is interesting, there is something to see and take pictures of. The staff is a separate topic, the service is good, but there is a big problem, they just strongly demand tips, they just demand it, we didn't like it, because the price of food is too high than in other good restaurants
Everything is very nice and tasty, friendly and friendly, courteous staff. I advise you to carefully look at the bill that will be brought to you. The bill will reflect the amount for courtesy in your opinion.
Flattered by the many positive reviews, we decided to visit this restaurant.
It is clear that Wednesday 11 is not the peak of attendance, but if wrestlrun always works like this, then the administrator should burn with shame in front of the guests.:
1. One of the waiters is clearly with a runny nose. We are all human beings, and the weather is such that it's a matter of minutes to get sick, so why force a person to work, putting guests at risk?
2. Kitchen. Not only that, not all menu items are available for ordering (saj? - only after 2 hours; is the fish on the grill? - there is none; homemade lemonades and compotes? - we can offer bottled food), and the cooking level in no way corresponds to the "legend" of the establishment (at home it is bland and overcooked as if they wanted to make porridge, the entrecote is salty so much that the taste of meat is no longer felt, eggplant rolls without a hint of nuts, perhaps such an author's recipe, crispy eggplant salad is just it sticks to the teeth due to the excessive amount of starch, potatoes with chicken, as it always seemed to me, implies that the chicken in a serving will be slightly more than 2 pieces of 1x1 cm, but the grilled salad is good without question).
3. A separate point is the service fee included in the bill. Stated in the menu as 10%, it is calculated as 15% in the bill. When asked to clarify how it happened, the answer was yes, starting today (I remind you Wednesday is the middle of the week) it has become 15%. It wasn't fatal, but it was extremely unpleasant, as well as the fact that the dirty dishes didn't get in right away, and I had to remind them twice about the need to bring drinks.
As a natural result, I was disappointed that the restaurant did not meet expectations. It is possible that there was some unfortunate combination of circumstances, but there is no certainty that it will be better next time.
Fortunately, there are enough other establishments in Baku where you don't have to blush in front of invited friends.
The restaurant is very cool, besides it is also a museum. After you eat, you can ask for a guided tour. Delicious pilaf, delicious wine, wonderful dolma, live music in Azerbaijani. The waiters are polite. I liked it very much.
There is a lot of space. The feeling of a museum. The staff is wonderful. The prices are slightly above the average for the city, but it's worth it. And songs and dances and even a tour of the institution, which has something to see. I recommend
In general, it is a very interesting concept to combine a museum and a restaurant. Definitely worth a visit. Thematic zones. There are Russian-speaking waiters. Excellent kutabs with different fillings. The discovery was a dolma with lime leaves. Petey was disappointed - very liquid. They cook it better in St. Petersburg and Moscow. And all because it is cooked on the rib part of the lamb, and not on the flesh.
The service, the food is incredibly delicious, the atmosphere is like in a fairy tale! The museum restaurant. Anyone who wants to have a delicious meal in a cozy and beautiful place is welcome to Shirvanshah))
A great place to explore the city, cuisine and history. Excellent pilaf and watermelon jam. If you ask, you will be given a guided tour of all the halls with an immersion in history.
It's worth coming here to see the interior!
I would have chosen another place to eat. The food is mediocre. There are interesting dishes, and there are, in my opinion, tasteless ones at all.
In Baku, tips are added to the bill almost everywhere. Here, tips are added to the bill, and at the same time, the waiters also ask (insist) for more individual tips, since the first ones go to the "owner of the restaurant for the interior." Maybe it's worth including these "tips" in the price right away. In my understanding, a tip is a thank you for serving the waiter, the kitchen, etc. It's strange for me to pay tips for the interior.
The restaurant is a fairy tale 🔥 Just come and take a look.
From real time to the time of the Knights 👍
The prices are reasonable. The cuisine is delicious.
As they say, "both to eat and to stare."
A tour of the castle is already included in the bill.
The restaurant is good, but our evening was made by a guide who told us everything and showed us with colorful sayings and with such an expression as if you get into the theater, very cool!!!!
I recommend you to visit it is useful to learn the traditional cuisine of Azerbaijan, listen to the history of the emergence of the state, as well as feel the whole flavor of that time
We came to this place because there were high ratings on the Internet. The atmosphere is pleasant, in a traditional style.
The food is disgusting. Since the price tag of the restaurant is above average, I wanted an appropriate level. Salads are bland. For example: Pomegranate consists of beetroot, mayonnaise and decorations…
We ordered a barbecue of chicken and quail. The chicken was brought in different parts of the carcass, not fillets on a skewer.
The quail was half-cooked, but the administration deducted it from the bill and apologized.
The bread is cold, not just from the oven. Kutabs are edible, but not straight to be super tasty.
We tried it in other places, much better.
The dancing was late and there was only 1 number.
No one took us on a tour of the various halls or even offered us one.
This restaurant is like a bitter candy in a beautiful wrapper.
I do not recommend visiting. It's better to go to a less publicized place where there is live music and they cook with a soul, delicious!
As a wonderful museum, I do not recommend eating in it, we arrived at 9 p.m., the people had already left, ordered food, carried it for a long time, and when the lamb ribs arrived, it was just tears, the feeling that someone had not finished... They tasted like rubber, the dishes were not brought at the same time, then it turned out that the vegetables were gone, a lot of waiters went, you wave at them - 0 reactions, when my husband went and asked for the bill, the waiter came and proudly announced that there was a fee for the museum and stood until they paid, the service was terrible, so how can you go to the museum, they they conduct guided tours there, but I don't recommend eating((((
It's a great place. This is both a museum and a restaurant. Delicious food, excellent service, very cool interior, many separate halls and floors. Everything is done in style. Live music, pilaf, wine, meat, etc.
It's very strange where so many positive reviews come from. I visited this restaurant on 04/29/25 with my colleagues. We made a pre-order so that we wouldn't have to wait long. We arrived, they tell us that the entire pre-order has been canceled. They say we got confused and didn't cook anything. Well, let's say..the order was placed and delivered in about 45 minutes. At this stage, we realized that we wanted to order more desserts. Time has passed, they are gone, we have reminded you. But no one brought them back. The food itself did not impress us either, neither the beautiful presentation nor the story. They just put the plates down in silence. Two mugs were brought for tea for four people. And the big minus to everything is the smell in the hall. Either the smell of old carpets, or the cleaning agent. I was waiting for my food on the street, because it's impossible to sit waiting for food with such a smell.
My colleagues didn't get everything they asked for either. But they did not forget to include these items in the bill. When we complained to the waiter, he began to complain to us that there were a lot of us. The restaurant is huge, there are a lot of staff, it's strange that they couldn't handle serving a banal lunch.
The best restaurant I've ever been to. Every minute my eyes catch on to something interesting. The cuisine is beyond praise, everything is very tasty. I highly recommend starting your acquaintance with the cuisine of Azerbaijan from this institution. For those who are worried that it will be expensive here, it's not worth it, prices are definitely lower than in the old town area.
Three floors of the restaurant, all rooms are themed, a huge menu. The prices are higher than in the city, but the portions are large and it's delicious
Positive:
The menu is very very large, and there is also a QR code where everything is with pictures
Live music
A huge restaurant where there is definitely a place for a company of any size
Color
If you ask, they will give you a tour
Cons: bordering on Cuban, it spoils the impression a little
An incredible restaurant - as if you were in a 19th-century house with interior items, as if collected from a museum.
The restaurant itself is huge, with many halls and nooks.
The national Azerbaijani cuisine has a perfect taste and excellent presentation. All dishes are served on almost antique tableware.
The waiters are amazing, the service is great.
A huge restaurant with workshops and an interior decorated with carpets. We were in the morning on a weekday, there were no working workshops, excursions. I ate delicious, they serve me quickly
