The Shukhov Tower does not have many of them left in the world, a powerful frame and a thoughtful engineering solution will keep it for many more years or centuries
The object is striking in its scale. Due to the emergency condition, it is not recommended to climb the tower, as evidenced by a visual inspection of the object and warning signs.
The hyperboloid building of the beginning of the century is very interesting from the point of view of architecture. It looks unusual and majestic, but at the same time very lightweight! There are very few such towers left...
Being not in use, it is in a state of disrepair. And if we talk about the attraction, then you can only drive up to it along an unpaved street, even though it is almost in the old city center next to the train station...
A unique architectural and engineering structure! It is in a deplorable state! But even in Russia, few places have been preserved! They would have restored it, given good advertising and guided tourists!
The tower is not something amazing because of the indifference of the authorities. Nothing has been restored and no information, at least to read about the object itself and who this Shukhov of yours is. That's why it remains to look at the bending metal structures with a wooden shed on top.
The simplicity of the design solution is amazing. The accuracy of the calculation and manufacture of mounting holes that no one drilled "in place". And this was at a time when no one even dreamed of computers.

The tower of my childhood! This is a historical monument, and it is in such a state that it will collapse soon!
Apart from the proud designation "Shukhov Tower!", nothing stands out, except for inscriptions, such as PETYA WAS HERE. Borisov's executors of the will of the people still (read - forever) have no time to deal with monuments that are not pointed out by more serious executors of the will of the people. Maybe I should knock it down on the sly, before I sold it myself and collapsed? In my opinion, a sign on the fence would look better, calmer, "There was a water tower built according to the project of engineer Shukhov..."
It's sad what condition the tower is in. The location is also not the best. Historical values are apparently alien to us. If you are in Borisov, you can see it, purposefully go to yourself.
It is one of the 11 towers of architect Shukhov. It was built in 1927. It requires reconstruction and proper care, because it is a rare architectural masterpiece. It would be possible to attract investors and attract tourists...
