The zoo has a very large territory. There are many types of animals. There is an "Africa" zone, a "Night World" pavilion. Aviaries for peacocks, birds of prey, bears, lions, cheetahs, wolves, foxes and more. A lake for waterfowl. But some buildings on the territory require repair. The view is a bit not well maintained. It will probably look better in the summer. The ticket price is quite reasonable. It's worth a visit, it will be especially interesting for children.
We went in early July with our family . The zoo has definitely become better than it was before. Everything seems to be fine , But still there is a feeling that the animals are not being looked after . The bear's pool with a viewing glass is half full , the bear cannot enter the water in the heat . The other two bears have the same pattern. There is darkness in the aquarium in the truest sense of the word . Lighting gets into the room through a skylight, it's not okay to look at the fish, and all visitors try to use phone flashlights to see what lives in the aquarium. Maybe when it 's cloudy , then they turn on the lighting , or there were repairs , but in our case , as it was , I wrote it . For the general appearance 5, for the animals 3.
We came from Almaty to see the zoo. There are a lot of birds of different species, there are bears, the giraffe is friendly) a lot of things are missing, but it's very good to walk with children in the hospital and surprisingly, you can feed the giraffe for free, in Almaty we paid for it))
It was September 21st.Read to the end!,
The zoo is not bad, people visit actively, parking lots are busy on weekends, a ticket for adults is 800 tenge, from 6-17 years old 600 tenge, for students 600 tenge.Tigers, lions, lionesses are thin, very sluggish.Of all the wolves that were there, I saw only red, there were no ordinary gray ones. THE BIGGEST DISADVANTAGE OF THE ZOO IS THE BROKEN GLASS WHERE 3 LIONESSES ARE LOCATED, and this glass is simply covered with a banner and taped where 3 lionesses are sitting...I hope they will take measures to eliminate this huge problem, because children and adults come too close to the glass with animals in order to take a photo, no matter how one of these photos turns out to be deplorable!
They also put up children's attractions, of course it's good for children, but for animals? After all, this is primarily a ZOO!!!! And the most important thing there is the comfort of animals, you can ride on attractions elsewhere, and look at animals in the zoo. They also sell food for animals there - a bag of vegetables, cabbage, carrots, etc.
The ducks are probably lucky, because they have a large territory to swim and they don't eat as much as lions, bears, tigers...
When I arrived, it was about 12 o'clock, some cages were still closed and the meat was lying outside the closed door and the animal was hungry but could not get this meat, I would like them to be opened earlier.
But as a whole, thank you that the zoo is developing!
A huge territory. Clean, constantly watered. All the animals are in good condition. The enclosures are clean. A safari with viewing platforms pleases. The terrarium is great.
As a bus stop, a great place, lots of trees, beautiful and convenient and clean. But I haven't been to the zoo for more than five years, so I won't give an assessment.
Five stars for the fact that the zoo is developing for the better, slowly but surely :)
I recommend it for a family visit. Tickets are inexpensive, children under 6 years old are free of charge. The territory is clean, cozy, beautiful, there is a place to eat, finally a normal toilet was built. But aviaries with bears along the central alley are still better to go with a gas mask)))
It is beautiful, the territory is well maintained. There are a lot of animals, there is something to see.
The only thing I don't like is visitors, and I want to plant them instead of animals, where it's been seen that a giraffe ate corn sticks, a lion ate cabbage, and more. . Cultures of behavior are not among people. And the zoo is very cool there, as soon as we get the opportunity, we go there with our family.
We like to walk with the kids.Look at the animals, feed them (we buy vegetables at the zoo).I would like it not to smell strongly near animal cells, this is one minus. And I would also like the guys who sell cotton candy and popcorn to be more clean, because the children ask, but you see that the guys touched their feet, scratched their heads and wrapped cotton wool with these hands, this is the second minus. It's terrible. And so, the kids are happy when we take them to the zoo.
A good place for a family visit. The child is happy. The zoo itself is in good condition. The ticket price is more than affordable.
People, do not feed animals with what they are not supposed to eat by nature!!! Do not skimp and buy the right food!
This is a paradise for the soul why don't they develop it here as Tourism and Shymkent can be developed as tourism instead of restaurants, modern hotels and spas and pools and aquariums can be built and something can be done inside the hotel Shymkent is a fairy tale and in general it seems beautiful to me in Shymkent the sacred land
Stupid giraffe! Such a contact! A lovely kunguru family with a baby. It's a pity they didn't see the Begimots, there was cleaning... of course there is a smell, but this is understandable, the animals are not in diapers) and so the park is clean. We liked it, we got a lot of great emotions! We came from Volgograd.
Lots of greenery. There are few toilets, they are all in poor condition. There are many animals, but some have a tired appearance, especially lions, tigers and bears. The giraffe is the main decoration of the zoo. Some animals can be fed, for example, ostriches are just waiting for this, they are not afraid of people at all and gladly accept food from visitors. The ticket can be said to be symbolic - 800 tenge for adults, 400 tenge for children from 6 to 17 years old, and free of charge for children under 6 years old.
One of the pleasant impressions is that in many places gander boats with water are installed, you can collect water, wash your hands and face. There are several small attractions, a trampoline, cars for rent.
A huge territory, clean, beautiful, animals are clean, do not stink. The child and I are happy. But it's better to take bugs at the entrance, get to the terrarium and from there go to the exit. Next time, that's exactly what it will do
The zoo has become much better and cleaner. Attendance has become noticeably higher, which is noticeable by the fullness of the parking lot, especially on weekends, by the way, it is very big
A great place to relax with a family, spend walks with children. I would recommend removing all these toy playgrounds for children from there. And then the children, instead of watching animals, want to play on them
Our first visit to the zoo, the child was interested... cons: the animals are hungry, it feels like they are fed only by visitors... We need to attract sponsors to buy food for these animals.. It's dirty in places, it's been replaced in places... it is clear that they are expanding, in the future we hope it will be very beautifully clean and with a large number of animal species
It's a great zoo. Big, beautiful. There are a lot of different animals and birds. There is an aquarium with fish and a terarium. There are benches, locations for a photo shoot. I really liked the Africa department. I recommend going in the morning when the animals are active, it's not too hot. We got to the morning feeding, it was very interesting to watch. We saw a mother bear with a bear, played, swam. There are also tigers, lions, wolves, hippopotamus, huge birds and many others. Both the children and I liked everything. The zoo is very large, we walked around in 2 hours, but the legs almost fell off
Those who love animals are the best place to walk with children and loved ones. A wide variety of animals with a small description (informative). There are a couple of disadvantages, but I want to believe that they will fix it, namely: the toilet and the old aviaries (Soviet times).
I went with the children to them and I really liked everything. There are a lot of all kinds of animals, and besides, the landscape of each territory of the zoo is different, which was very surprising. Most of the animals look very lively and joyful))) but there were also sad animals. In general, it is worth a visit! I did not regret that we went!
I have always loved the zoo, every time I go and I am surprised to see something new, of course it is good when there is a zoo in my city and children like it and adults.
The zoo is really huge, it is bigger than the zoos in Abu Dhabi, Kiev, Minsk, etc. I don't even know who to compare it with, but it takes at least half a day to get around it. The only thing that upsets is some kind of dilapidation, old sidewalks, curbs, benches. The zoo is clearly in need of major repairs
Shymkent Zoo is a source of delight for the whole family! The variety of animals, convenient location and animal care create a unique atmosphere. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!
It's a big zoo, but the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. There are a lot of animals and a pretty beautiful view, but the smell is just terrible 😭😔 The third largest zoo in Kazakhstan
The last time I was in this zoo was at the age of 7 (41 years ago). I don't remember the details, but in my opinion, everything is unchanged. It was nice to plunge into childhood.
We really liked the zoo. The park is very clean inside. There are conditions for children to admire and relax the animals. Thank you very much to the park staff. Gules are very spectacular, eye-catching.
A very large zoo, I was in it for the first time, I liked it, although I did not have time to see all the animals. Next time I'll come, I'll go again. I advise you to visit.
Our native zoo. Since childhood, we have been walking and will continue to walk. It got better after the reconstruction. If only there were more animals, it would be fine. And in general, it's a great place to walk with your family. I wish prosperity to our zoo.
A wonderful and very diverse zoo, a huge territory and many shady places. The territory is divided into natural zones, one of the most interesting of course is Africa) A zebra can almost be stroked, an ostrich and a hippopotamus can be seen very closely) A super place for adults and children
I recommend it to everyone! The children will be only too happy. There are all kinds of animals in the zoo. And there they made a jungle on the other side.
Lots of greenery, it's impossibly hot in summer, a lot of trees have dried up, cut down in the zoo.. Especially the new aviaries, fenced with tempered glass, in summer the glass heats up, it is impossible to approach nearby. Inside the enclosure, where predators need to plant more trees. Where lions and tigers are in old enclosures, they are very cramped, they would like to move them to a new place with a large territory, because the zoo area allows. And of course, to ensure high-quality nutrition of animals, especially predators. We have already seen how and what they feed, it's terrible
Compared to the year 22, the zoo has been launched, the aviaries are overgrown with grass. When we were in 2022, the zoo was much cleaner and well maintained.
Beautiful from the threshold, immediately impressed, then pleased with the very low price for an entrance ticket. The zoo contains animals in a vast area that allows animals to live rather than exist. The animals are beautiful, healthy, well-groomed, and the variety of animals pleases. There is a lot of greenery in the zoo, water, watering greenery all day, there is a small pond. In general, the impressions are excellent. The only drawback is the restroom, but I think in order for them to be modern, sponsors are needed. Therefore, what is is. There are benches, stalls with ice cream, water and other things. M
Gazebos and small canopies are not enough from the rain, the terrarium and other rooms with ventilation are tight, and so you can have a good rest with children: attractions, kebabs, lions, tigers, giraffe, bears, wolves....
Our ancient zoo in Shymkent is home to many different animals, fish and birds every day! Our zoo has 44 years of history. How many different people come and go? I've been going to the zoo since I was a kid.
A favorite vacation spot for many years. I walked by myself in my youth, now we walk with children every year. There are noticeable improvements, there are a lot of animals, it is very interesting.
The well-maintained territory of the zoo. The animals are fed. Most of all, I liked the giraffe, tall, majestic, loves carrots, which can be bought nearby. Bears, hippos, of course, it's a little hot, but... southern summers are hot. The children really enjoyed the walk, they said that the animals were cute. 😊
A huge zoo, there are probably all animals except penguins and polar bears))) it's cool that most of the animals can be fed directly from the hands, a large terramium, many locations for recreation and walks
The animals are well-groomed, the territory is large, you can feed rabbits, lamb. Parking is also a large area, but on weekends the parking lot is still full. I really liked it
It was very sad,it was very impressive,it was all about the elephant бас it would be great when the elephant was there,it was impressive when the girl ж
A great place to spend time with children. Some aviaries have been expanded. There is a truth, BUT which we would like our patrons to fill - the enclosures of Lions, bears need to be done more. More spacious. The poor walk in 8 squares, the stench is terrible.
We liked it. Lion, tiger, giraffe, wolf, many species of fish, birds and much more. Everything is cool. And next to the arboretum and amusement park is a recreation area. The facilities are also good, and the ticket costs 800 tenge for adults. It's not that expensive.
