Hello everyone
That's the first negative review. In principle, it is expected. I have NEVER been to a good restaurant/cafe in any country that was brought as part of group or individual guided tours. If the place is at the discretion of the organizer / driver, then nothing good should be expected. Almost 99% of these places are always open for one-time visits, and a tour to this place is unlikely to be repeated for you. This means that the quality of food, service, and interior does not matter. And it does not depend at all on the country and the continent. He got into trouble everywhere, but out of a sense of appreciation for the usually pleasant driver, he endured and did not resent much. Each time hoping that this time they would be brought to a cozy, decent place (although he never praised or criticized in streamlined phrases when asked for an opinion). And often these establishments are really located in the top instagrammed places.
This one has a beautiful view of the city wall and the Alazani Valley, but at the same time it has an absolutely terrible toilet, a lame kitchen and interior.
Everything is for the crowds of tourists.
But here, using the example of pork kebab and pork on a bone, another important topic opens up for me. Let the Georgian and Armenian readers not be offended. I have never eaten a top kebab anywhere in their ethnic establishments. Nowhere and never. Although I order it in about half of their establishments that I visit. (Georgia, greater Sochi, Moscow, etc.). Moreover, even pork, which the conditional uncle Seryozha, without leaving the binge, will make at night in the country much better than anything I have seen even in expensive restaurants (to be fair, all other dishes in Georgian and Armenian cuisines are excellent). It's a paradox, but it's a fact.
And a travel tip: If you're not too lazy, choose your own seats and ask the driver to take you there.
Beautiful view of the valley, attentive waiter, speaks Russian, the ostri is simply amazing, ajapsandali almost falls short. Excellent wine from kvevri. Chacha is amazing! We bought it with us.
It's not a good place. The prices are too high, which is understandable. The service fee is 15%, because the waiters are unlikely to leave tips voluntarily. They brought a barbecue, it was the worst barbecue in my life. Half of the meat is lard. I also had soda from the bottle. I asked the waiter not to clean my table because I had to leave for a minute. I came back and my desk was cleared. At least the soda was replaced. The view is beautiful here, but if you want to sit here, it's better to just order tea
