If we consider that we have been traveling since 2019, then it is quite normal.
The disadvantages are poor food.
Animation for children was tried, it was not bad for adults, but it was possible to diversify. There are few Russian-speaking employees, 2 people at the reception, the rooms are clean, they gave a room with a sea view for an additional fee. There were very few people in June, but the locals came on weekends and it was a nightmare. Queues at the bar constantly, who drinks: alcohol ran out by 10 pm.
The sea was beautiful, very warm, all the water sports activities on the beach were inexpensive.
We were satisfied, we went with our son for 7 years.
Separately, the slides are just a delight for a child, the children's area is separate from the adult one.
Not a bad place to relax with your family. The hotel staff understands Russian. The territory of the hotel is quite large. There is parking, a swimming pool, several bars, a playground, a water park for adults and children, a private beach. The hotel is located near the town of Monastir, which is easily accessible by bus. Stop right at the exit of the hotel. There is a good market here and there is something to see. Ask for a quieter room right away. Otherwise, you'll be listening to music until 4 a.m. They relocate without any problems. For those who like to eat. There is always something to eat on site. They offer both European and local cuisine. Continental breakfast, lunch almost immediately, then you can have a snack with ice cream and pizza, and then dinner. For those who like to swim. There is a large beach, a lot of sun beds, they are free for those who live in the hotel. The beach is sandy. It is cleaned every evening. The entry into the sea is smooth. The swimming area is fenced with a net. There was no one and nothing terrible in the water in September. In general, if you are determined to relax, and not look for flaws, a good place.
We vacationed in Tunisia for the first time in the city of Manastir at the Skanes Serail hotel in July 2021. We arrived late in the evening. Before checking in, we were invited to have dinner. Dinner consisted of three salads, sandwiches and water. After that, we were settled in the right wing of the hotel at the very end of the corridor. The horror began when we entered the room. It was dirty and dusty, very old furniture, plumbing, the TV did not work, and worst of all, there was no water coming into the toilet and the view from the room rested on the water park. It was not a good sight. Already in the second hour of the night, explaining all the horrors of the room, we were given a choice of two, no better than the previous one, but with water in the toilet tank. Not only we got into this situation, but also a group of Russian tourists who came with us. In the morning, we staged a riot and tried to knock out good numbers. The representatives of the hotel brazenly demanded an additional payment for rooms with sea views, but we did not give up. With grief for the sexes, we have achieved our goal. We were accommodated in the left wing, but I assure you that the rooms are not much better. We were greeted by old furniture, but there was a feeling of clean and living space. And now I will tell you about the services of the hotel. The rooms were not cleaned regularly. Sometimes they were left without towels . I had to contact the reception. The linen is very old, stained. The restaurant, the so-called dining room, simply did not pull in four stars. Cutlery and plates were very often dirty, they did not wipe the tables after the visitors, but simply shook napkins on the floor, new appliances were laid out on them again. The paper napkins were worth their weight in gold. They put one napkin at a time. And as for food, it can be called waste-free production . What is not eaten for breakfast is processed and given for lunch. There was rarely anything delicious. I note that their desserts are not bad. Sometimes they gave shrimps, three pieces per person. There was a long queue for grilled dishes. It is very difficult for a Russian person to live with such food. I can't imagine what the parents of young children were fed.......Sanitary standards were not observed in the dining room.In bars, drinks were poured into plastic containers .An even more disgusting sight was the collection of their employees on the beach and the hotel grounds, and even from garbage cans. They washed the glasses, treated them with bleach and poured them back into them. We had to walk around with our glasses. I would also like to note that this is not a hotel, but a courtyard. Locals flock to the hotel in droves to swim in the pool and on the beach., and on weekends they check in. Their rules and norms of behavior are far from ours. There are sooo many of them. If you do not want to spoil your vacation, then this hotel is clearly not for you! I do not recommend it!!!!!
