The long-suffering main Synagogue of Slonim. The once iconic place, which was the center of the city, is slowly falling apart without proper care.
The wall paintings in the synagogue have been partially preserved. It operated until 1940, and in 2001 it was transferred to the ownership of a Jewish religious association in the Republic of Belarus. It is under restoration, which, however, has practically stalled.
There is a city market right next to the synagogue building.
It's a very interesting building, it's a pity that it's not in such a well-maintained state. It's fenced off now, hopefully for reconstruction or restoration.
