Stayed in June 2024 for 2 nights.
In short: I have been to very different hotels of very different levels. There is something to compare it with. In terms of price / quality ratio, it is adequate. But it's definitely not 4 stars, and in some places not even 3.
Detailed:
The hotel is seasoned and well-worn. Most likely, he really was a 4-star once. But the years and the lack of proper maintenance have done their job. Now it is battered, battered, battered and worn. You can see it right away: the building doesn't look fresh from the outside, the steps are all dirty, the front entrance doesn't look grand.
I was greeted by a cat that was sleeping inside right at the front door. Pregnant. After that, the security was met at the reception. The staff is friendly and friendly. Many people speak Russian, if not, English. They told me in a nutshell where everything is nearby. By the way, there is a KFC nearby (right next door), a supermarket + pharmacy + vegetable shop (behind the hotel). There are also a couple of eateries within walking distance. A large shopping center and a metro station are 15 minutes away on foot. There is a large park 10 minutes away in the other direction.
They asked me to wait 15 minutes with the room, because I was not ready yet (despite the fact that I arrived at 18 o'clock). 15 minutes turned into half an hour. During this time, the cat (the local, hotel daughter of the regiment) managed to lie on top of me. The truth is all dirty, so I do not advise ironing (I stroked for a minute, my fingers are all dirty, without exaggeration). After that, the ritual was conducted to the room. Everything was explained and shown. The room turned out to be really freshly cleaned with a freshly washed, straight wet floor that even the slippers stuck. I dropped my things and went for a walk. I came, the floor is dry, and the sneakers keep sticking. Apparently someone spilled something delicious before me.
In the room itself: the furniture is worn and battered in places, but not much. The towels are old....very old....the foot towel is generally torn and full of holes. But clean!
In the bathroom, the mirror has a peeling mirror layer, a small mold in the shower, on the ceiling, on the sink. The cabin is leaking (though like many). The water pressure in the sink is so-so, although it is normal in the shower.
The bed is comfortable enough.
The air conditioner works well, but blows directly into the bed, so I personally couldn't sleep properly with kondey. However, the temperature was not terribly uncomfortable...will go.
The windows in the room are dirty (outside).
Wi-Fi is working fine (not Wow, but quite decent).
Breakfast is a buffet on the principle of "nothing to eat". Cherished vegetables. Certified pizza. Hints of sweetness. Instant coffee only. But without milk. But there are 3 in 1. Everything is for an amateur (or even a professional).
The ironing board and iron are a separate topic. They are there. But it feels like the board was bombarded, and the iron wire was bent on the tatami. Everything is stained (although it does not stain clothes), in holes. The iron wire with the veins sticking out! Without insulation! Safety is their forte!
In general, you can live if you understand that you pay for IT inexpensively. I would not have settled here a second time unless absolutely necessary.
There are no 4 stars here. In general, somewhere it is positioned as 4 stars, and somewhere as 3. In reality, it is 3 turning into 2.
P.S. Initially I booked a room in another hotel - Mildom Hotel Baku. However, when I landed in Baku, they called from there and, referring to the technical chocolates with the room I had booked, said that they offered me to move to a nearby hotel, which is BETTER than their hotel, with the price preserved. In general, if it was better, then what about Mildom.... By the way, it is also 4 stars. =)
A good hotel in a good location in the city, near a museum, restaurants, malls and shopping centers! The staff cleans the room well, everything is clean!breakfasts take into account the amount per room is very tasty!
Terrible service. I came to this hotel to book a room for a guest. It turned out to be a situation in which the guest also booked a room for himself and my reservation burned down. They did not take the prepayment, did not notify about such a situation, threatened to call the police and demanded to pay the full cost of the reservation. They do not warn you, and in case of force majeure they try to withdraw money from you. Be careful
