It's just some kind of madhouse. It all started very well. We booked this hotel on a booking, we were provided with a free transfer from the airport, as we had booked more than 3 nights. I warned that we were arriving late at night, so we booked +1 day. When we boarded the transfer, the driver silently handed us the phone, the hotel manager said that we had to check in before 21:00 (the reservation was from 05/08/2025-05/12/2025, and we arrived on 05/09/2025 at 2 a.m. local time), that their booking at the booking office does not really mean anything and check-in is carried out on a first-come, first-served basis.. and they don't have any rooms available. This man spoke very rudely, to say that he was "rude" would not say anything. When we asked where we were being taken and why we hadn't been informed earlier, he replied that he didn't have our contacts (my number and email were on the booking and their driver knew my whatsapp, we corresponded about the meeting time) and they could book us the nearest hotel for the night at their expense and then populate us. When I asked why it hadn't been done yet and which hotel we would be taken to in the end, he couldn't answer anything meaningful. We were in wild shock, 2 girls are being taken to an unknown destination at night in a foreign country. This non-manager dropped the call, and the driver said that the hotel was and he would take us to a good one. We went because it was the middle of the night. As a result, we were taken to a smoky pit, we paid for 1 day ourselves and the driver was still waiting for donations from us.… Naturally, We sent him where he needed to be.. The next day, no one from the hotel contacted us. We went there ourselves and caused a scandal, after which we were put in a large room, but no one reimbursed us for a day in another hotel. Thanks to our perseverance, we were provided with a transfer for our belongings from the 1st hotel.
About the accommodation: the location is really good, all the sights are nearby, that's probably all.
It's true about toilet paper, as it was written earlier. You need to beg. The plumbing is old and rusty, and the hotel looks like it's made of cardboard. We heard what was going on at the reception on the 3rd floor.
I want to warn many people about the name and address - on the booking this hotel is called Sofia inn hotel, address: 56 Muslim Magomayev, Sabayil , 1003 Baku, Azerbaijan.
I am sure that this was done on purpose so that tourists would not be able to find negative reviews on other resources.
In front of us, the young man also argued with the hotel staff because they did not return the change from the reservation for 3-4 days.
And the icing on the cake, these bad people arbitrarily changed the dates of our booking in the booking.. I saw this on the way back to the airport. This was done on purpose so that I would not be able to leave a negative review. It was 05/08/2025-05/12/2025, it became 05/08/2026-05/12/2026.
I've been writing about this to the booking office for a week now, and their support service ignores me.

Positive: 1) all the main attractions are nearby. 2) the metro is 8-10 minutes on foot. 3) the view of the city during breakfast and the breakfast itself, you can eat so that you will be full before dinner. 4) there is a kettle in the room. 5) air conditioning 6) friendly staff will help you with everything, they speak Russian, English, Azerbaijani. 7) there is Wi-Fi.
Minuses: 1) the socket (there was one and then it almost hung out of the wall, I had to hold it when you take off and put on the charger and the cord from the kettle)
2) mini fridge for an additional fee.
3) a dirty bathtub, after the shower there was a puddle on the floor.
4) who registers in the booking, be careful, there is one address at 72, and in fact at 55. Because of this, we couldn't find a hotel for a long time.

The breakfasts are the same, they consist of a set of cups with cheeses, jams, sauces, a kettle and bread, everything is delicious and did not bother, I do not want to eat until the evening. The room stock is different , there is a choice , towels are changed on request.
