We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Brest fortress. We just chose a place on the map by looking at the reviews. It doesn't look like anything special. Inside, everything is beautiful, cozy, and conceptual. But the main thing is the food. It's amazingly delicious. I ordered soup, topped with croutons with bacon, and stuffed pancakes. The soup was good, the croutons with bacon were very tasty, and there were a lot of them. After the soup and croutons, I was already full, but of course I couldn't give up the dranik)) I definitely recommend it!
I came to Brest from Moscow for 4 days. After taking a walk around the Brest fortress, the appetite grew and it was necessary to find a restaurant with local cuisine. In the parking lot at the fortress, I found a flyer on my car for a certain cafe with local cuisine and thought about going there, but I read the reviews and refused this idea. After studying the TripAdvisor rating, it was decided to go to Malt. And for good reason, I went there twice for lunch and dinner during these 4 days. The place deserves at least 4.5-4.7/5 the rating, the cuisine is quite tasty, there is plenty to choose from. While you're driving to the restaurant, do not be surprised that it is not in the center and not on the main street, yes, in the private sector for the most part, but the quality of the institution does not suffer at all!
Their borscht is gorgeous, the pancakes are above all praise!)
If you will be in Brest, be sure to visit!
Traveling through a wonderful !!! the country is Belarus, we decided to have lunch at this wonderful institution👍 Delight!!! Everything is fine: a varied menu (with national dishes), atmosphere (very creative), friendly staff, cozy atmosphere-everything is on top!!! I recommend you to visit, you will not regret it, you will be satisfied😊
Delicious food. The Belarusian hamburger is a cannon. M=100kg. I ate a lot of soup (the portions are large, I had to take them with me).The service is excellent, a girl worked today, friendly understands everything. I recommend it to anyone who likes to eat delicious food.Cons: the summer veranda is beautiful, but there is not enough cooling, at least a ceiling fan) it is comfortable indoors.
A great place with a pleasant atmosphere. Delicious cuisine, varied menu. We chose this place to try not only Belarusian cuisine, but also Polish. We will definitely return to this place to try the rest of the dishes from the menu.
We had lunch at the Malt cafe after visiting the Brest Fortress. We really wanted to try burgers with pancakes, at the same time we tasted zhurek, but krambambul did not have to because he was driving.Delicious, satisfying, affordable!
A good cafe with affordable prices. There are set meals. National cuisine is simple and delicious. The location is not very convenient for tourists, but we do not regret at all that we spent money on a taxi in both directions to get to this cafe. We were satisfied with the service.
What a wonderful and delicious place! It seems to be out of the way, but they cook superbly. The most delicious pancakes, in all kinds, wonderful tinctures and a beetle that I will now dream about. And very friendly waitresses.
We visited this vaunted institution.
Let's go from the other side of the city.
What can I say, the dishes were really delicious. Beautifully served. Everything is very appetizing. But the beer turned out to be sour.. apparently, the heat and the lack of a sufficient number of visitors affect the quality of the beer.. my husband appreciated the horseradish. She says it was very tasty))
So I recommend it in principle.but it's better not to take beer while the heat is on)
Great restaurant!
Delicious cuisine, pleasant staff.
The prices are excellent. Pleasant environment.
I advise you to visit this restaurant, you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality, and the most important thing is the dishes.
Keep it up and get more customers for you
A great restaurant. I liked everything from the stylish interior, the staff service (very polite, attentive, friendly). I would like to say separately about the menu and the kitchen. The menu is focused on Polish-Belarusian cuisine. The cooking is amazing. It was delicious. Reasonable prices. There are their own alcoholic beverages of their own production. I heartily recommend it.
We arrived for lunch on 10.07., 2 tables were occupied in the hall, the four of us sat down. Unfortunately, the girl's waiter was not up to us, she could not find the time to come and take the order, we sat like that for 15 minutes, no one came up to us, after that they got up and left. We were very disappointed, because the rating of the institution was good
For a very long time, the food is so-so. They offered to bring pickles to the liqueurs, "so that it would be faster." We received them in 30 minutes. The rest in an hour is a dried chicken roll. Although there were 3 tables, one of which was drinking cleanly. The liqueurs are normal - the waitress pours the girl - the poor one was running around and blushing...

The atmosphere is conducive to a friendly and relaxed conversation. The music is playing softly, you can discuss it calmly... I especially liked the service of Elizabeth's waiter. The menu is gorgeous, in particular, a variety of tinctures))) Thanks for the service. I will definitely come here more than once!
It's a great place, we were passing through, we stopped by for lunch. We ordered Polish giblet soup, borscht, lard with black bread and, of course, burgers made from pancakes. Very unusual. The soup is similar to our traditional national soup, which we just love! We are from Yakutsk, Russia. We were nostalgic at this point).
The cafe-bar is clean, stylish, and pleased with the quick serving. However, they delayed our baking (they forgot, it happens), but the waiter managed to take it out to us later on the road. We went back by train, the pies came in handy)
I really liked this cafe. Draniki are simply delicious, I especially liked the "Hunting" ones. Interesting sets with liqueurs and tinctures. Special thanks to the waitress girls, they are very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone.
Excellent, starting from the atmosphere and ending with the kitchen. It is especially convenient when you book a table by the time the menu is sent to whatsapp and you do not need to wait for it for a long time. The minus is that there was no beer and croutons with bacon, which is not an understandable dish for me personally, but here it tastes and colors…
We were in Brest for the May holidays, we accidentally went to Malt, because there were no places in other establishments - we were just delighted. For our company of 8 people, we found a place in a separate room, everything was very tasty, the waiters were a top, the price tag was acceptable. We returned the next day again, as if to our home) the waiter is Hope - delight!
Excellent pub, visited many times, high-level service, interesting menu. I recommend a Belarusian burger, pancakes with fish and cheese, horseradish. The last time the beer was bottled was not the first freshness, I hope it will not happen again.
Pleasant service, you feel like a guest) Delicious Belarusian dishes, a good interior for photos. I recommend burgers made of dranik with fish and liqueur with sea buckthorn.
Very tasty food, liqueurs and tinctures. An atmospheric place. The staff is friendly! Prices don't bite! So far, the best place in Brest for us. They are from Minsk.
We were traveling from Moscow on the recommendation of zhurek and it was here. Sooo delicious. The interior is pleasant and tasteful. The service is excellent. We are very satisfied. Prices are below average. In the city, the average soup is 11-15 rubles, 8 rubles were given for zhurek. Dinner for two: soups, croutons, desserts, tea, coffee total 45 rubles.
I recommend it!
Great cafe with good and delicious cuisine :) We were on September 24, the waiter girl was very friendly, helped to decide on the choice of dishes, zhurek soup definitely deserves your attention :) we will be in Brest, we will definitely come back again!
I take off half a star for the lack of light beer and alternative milk in the bar. The rest is beyond praise! The most delicious baked potatoes, croutons, beans, beetroot and croutons with bacon were brought with lightning speed. The serving size is terrifyingly large)))
Nice place. The kitchen is delicious.
The Belarusian salad is incomparable. In the warm salad, the pork was a little harsh in places. Draniki - my respect! The only thing that spoiled them was the over-salted carrots in the roast. The shit is just insanely cool! Overall, the impressions are good. Delicious, satisfying, large portions, polite staff.

The medallions are delicious. The pancakes are delicious, a large portion. An interesting cozy interior. Friendly and attentive staff. A welcoming atmosphere. We recommend it.
The second dishes are cooked for a very long time — from 40 minutes. There are not enough staff, and those who are are not always friendly. I do not recommend this place.
The food and drinks are delicious, the modern-style interior looks nice. In general, I liked everything, but the waiters can't figure it out among themselves (the five of them came and we were offered to substitute a chair for the fifth person, when the child began to move his chair from the next table, the second waitress said in a raised tone that this should not be done).
I really liked the place. We took a Polish salad with beetroot and cottage cheese. The Polish salad is wonderful. Beetroot and cottage cheese are an interesting combination.Beautiful interior. The children liked the Belarusian burger
The service is excellent. Who likes fish is a good cod with sauce, like lecho.delicious string beans
On the advice of a local resident, visitors to the Malt cafe.
What I want to say... first of all, the food is cooked from under the knife, so everything is fresh and delicious. I was very impressed with the draniki. They crunched properly. An amazing serving of borscht, with Borodino bread croutons wrapped in the finest lard. I highly recommend it to everyone.
Very tasty and delicious food, stylish interior, delicate and attentive service! The tinctures are simply a masterpiece! Draniki are very diverse with a beautiful presentation. There is a covered veranda, a small playground for children!
Delicious tinctures, a beer snack. The salads were disappointing. The staff is polite. If you want privacy, this place is not for you. It is more suitable for a noisy, fun campaign. Overall, it left a pleasant impression!
Terrible restaurant, not very tasty, I took a Machanka, waited for about an hour when it would be brought, I didn't eat the worst dishes in the world, pork is strange with lumps of fat and cartilage under cream sauce, I thought at least in this dish I would eat pancakes, but they were disgusting. The waiter came up and asked if we didn't like the dish, we told her that it wasn't delicious, and we couldn't eat it, but we had to pay for it in the bill. they took croutons, and brought small pieces of bread, like crackers from a pack in size, without garlic, salt, of different sizes, like leftovers from visitors. The fat is ground without spices and salt - we have seasoned it ourselves. At least the potato slices were edible... I wonder who writes good reviews and gave a high rating? it was only because of this that we went from the center to the outskirts to have a delicious meal, but we had to
Go hungry to Moscow .
It was very tasty, the portions were large, there were no people on the day off, no one was with the children, they were planted successfully so that no one was disturbed by our fuss)) I recommend
1. The waitress who worked on October 10, 2023 is rude, indifferent, arrogant, not professional at all.
2. There was only 1 plate of soup at lunch! The only one!
3. They took this single bowl of soup to the child, the waitress put sour cream in the soup without asking either us or the child about it. And the son does not eat sour cream. Our dad had to eat soup, the child was left without the first one. When remarking on my part, why didn't she ask - she said that we put everything and you didn't say not to put it - i.e. shifted the responsibility to us. I did it again in a rough form.
Naturally, the impression of the institution is spoiled. First of all, because of the waitress, who from the threshold began to show off rudely and with claims on us, whatever we put our things there. In Moscow, such people are fired for such antics.
I really liked that everything is prepared at once, even pancakes and kvass)) And garlic croutons wrapped in bacon are a flashback to childhood) The cook is a magician 👍
We visited the cafe because it ranks first in the city on Tripadvisor. Very DISAPPOINTED!!!! Firstly, we wanted to take kvass, it turned out that there was only one glass of 200 ml left. The cafe staff prepared only 200 ml of kvass for the whole day!? And this is in the summer, when it's almost +30 outside. We ordered lemonade with sea buckthorn, but brought cucumber basil. Okay, we didn't say anything. Secondly, we made an order and waited for the salad for about half an hour first. The hot stuff was waited for exactly one hour. To the question addressed to the waiter (he is also the bartender), why it takes so long to wait, an extremely impolite, even rude, answer followed. They do everything from under the knife, and in general, as the waiter told us, we only waited fifteen minutes. Thirdly, the dishes according to the recipe are quite simple, serving as in the dining room. In principle, the food is normal for a cafe on the outskirts of the city. But! There were fried pancakes that floated in oil (terrible!), the frying itself was mostly carrots. But the salmon pancakes were completely disrespectful to the guests. For a whole hour, the fish was not deigned to defrost (the ice was crunching on the teeth), and not the salmon at all, they deceived. Fourth, the price tag is like in a good restaurant. We visited several establishments in the city, but the cafe "Malt" turned out to be the worst of them.
A complete disappointment!
Great place! I was passing through. I called the security Service 2 hours before closing time. Accepted, fed! Everything is clear, fast and delicious! The waiters are great! I ate borscht!!! Draniki, and machanka (I think it's called that). I really liked the tinctures, especially the cherry one! Such an interior was unexpected. I imagined some kind of national flavor. At first I thought that I had made the wrong place. There is also a menu without pictures, before that I read and looked at photos on websites. In general, I managed everything in an hour. The institution at 22-23.00 was 50% full on Sat. I wish the institution prosperity! A bonus for excellent work to the staff! I'll stop by again if I have a chance.
The cafe is just super) my rating is 10 out of 5. The only negative is the location. A very nice waitress who disposes to herself as soon as you enter the establishment. Very tasty food, especially draniki. Low prices, large tasty portions. I recommend it to everyone!!!
