A very decent hotel, especially for Sri Lanka, everything is clean, the staff is trying, the food is delicious. Boutique hotel, quiet, peaceful, I really liked it.

We rested in November 2023 for a week. We took accommodation and meals FB. The food is great, the cook is a huge smart guy - everything is amazing and large portions. The staff is also on top - all issues are resolved quickly and efficiently. The territory is compact and beautiful, well-groomed. The beach from the hotel is gorgeous, but you can't really swim - there are always big waves. I do not recommend taking a tuk tuk at the hotel - it is expensive. The only and main disadvantage was related to the room: initially they gave a room on the 1st floor near the reception, a huge gap between the entrance door and the floor - crawl whatever you want. They immediately lifted the mattresses and began to inspect the bed, as a result, bed bugs were found. We went to change the room, the staff sent two employees who were convinced of this and brought a balloon with terribly smelly ala Dichlofos, poured it near the mattresses and around the perimeter of the furniture in the room, of course we were not satisfied, plus the stench was wild, we went back to the reception, reluctantly, but they gave us room 101 (where several houses, 1st floor) - immediately examined the mattresses and under them - again some kind of living creatures in bed. Already on nerves, but went to the reception again, asked to knock out the 2nd floor, with grief in half gave 202 room, examined - like norms. But periodically some single small insects bit in bed (went to bed doused with mosquito repellent).
In general, I liked the rest, despite the nuances. Upon arrival, without immediately going home, all the contents plus the suitcases themselves are in the bath at over 65 degrees so..just in case..

We had a rest in January 2023, we liked everything very much. Great cozy rooms on the lake, fish were fed every morning, right from the room. Delicious natural restaurant food, lots of fish and seafood, vegetables and fruits. This place is unique in that at the same time you relax on Lake Kogalla, where there is a diverse fauna and a large deserted beach nearby, a magnificent ocean coast, a great place for swimming in the bay, and a little to the right there are good waves for surfing. The friendly, friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. We will definitely return to this place!!!

The hotel is across the street from the ocean. You can swim, but, of course, there are waves. On the other side is the railway, which can be heard in the room. There are pools. An ordinary hotel, but I would not consider it as a place of main rest, just to spend the night while exploring the country.

The hotel is normal by Sri Lankan standards, a monitor lizard often enters the territory, BUT there is nothing nearby - to eat, beaches with sun beds and minimal infrastructure to go by tuk tuk or bus.

We had a rest in December 2023, $ 100 disappeared from a closed safe. In our case, Anex Tour did not bring any results to all our complaints to the manager and the tour operator. There is also a railway very close by and exactly at 05:19 the first train passes, it is very noisy, as if you are riding on a train. I would not recommend this hotel for anything. Shops and cafes are located very far away, you need to take a bus or tuk tuk. The ocean is located across the street from the hotel and in order to cross it you have to try very hard to stay alive, there is a zebra but the drivers will never stop.

This is not the first time I have returned to this hotel, because there is trouble with hotels in Sri Lanka (excellent location, delicious breakfasts, constant room cleaning, polite staff and most importantly - these are rooms in the form of houses where it is comfortable to stay all day!

The hotel is not new, requires renovation in places, but in general the atmosphere is very pleasant, around nature, greenery, chipmunks, monitor lizards, fish, birds) The pool is good, clean. The breakfast is not very varied, but good.

A very nice hotel and extremely friendly and caring staff, real 4 ⭐. It is a pity that they do not have full occupancy due to restrictions.
The only drawbacks are the proximity of trains.
