There is an unpleasant smell, both in the room itself and from the food. There are a lot of onions in the food itself, so much so that you don't even want to try. I've seen dishes washed with old, smelly rags that were used to wipe the table before. The impression is like a cheap old canteen (not in the best sense)
Lovely, courteous staff. It feels like home. It is impossible to imagine that you will be rude or denied something there, even if you are completely drunk. A sincere restaurant, proven over the years, good cuisine.
