The church is really bright and full of grace, in 2001 they baptized their son!!! I would really like to attend the service at the church of the Great Martyr George the Victorious!!! May the Lord deign to visit Samarkand someday!!! I will definitely come to pray!!! God help all the priests and all the parishioners!!
A small cozy church. Fresh renovation. Friendly people greeted us. A strong salted place. You can baptize children for free. Which surprised us very much in modern times and for free. There are many beautiful icons. Nice decoration inside.
A beautiful, kind, bright temple with a history .... A gentrified area. The spirit of the ministry of the most remarkable priest, Fr. Dimitri, is preserved in him. I bow to Priest Oleg! Thank you for your Zarafshan service, Father))))
The legendary Church of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious! I recommend it to everyone who will be on a tourist, business, or any other trip to Samarkand, as well as to all local residents of Uzbekistan. The Church has its own unique, wonderful history from the moment of its formation under the Russian Empire in 1868 to the present. Since 1946, this prayer house, which acquired the status of a Temple in 1958, was revived during the difficult years of the Soviet system and in the 60s was defended personally by St. George himself! To do this, George and one of the Holy Soldiers of his army first arrived at the Temple to the priest to encourage him and inform him that the Church, which was not operating, would be opened, then went to the Executive Committee of Samarkand to the leadership! After St. George gave valuable instructions for the opening of the Church, everything was fulfilled. As a result, the church and parish life of the spiritual center is still in operation today. To visit the Temple that came to defend the Greatest of the Saints in the history of mankind, to touch the holy place, because it was He Who chose it as the source of His Grace and Love poured out on everyone, will be useful to every Christian and not only.
A description of the miracle of St. George in Samarkand can be found in many sources, as well as detailed information about the Temple.
Glory to St. George the Great Victorious!

Purely modestly not crowded , it is very pleasant to be in this church
It was my first time in Samarkand and by some miracle I took a hotel that was a five-minute walk away
From the Temple. There was an Easter Service, which I defended there for two hours. Not all of it. My sin. An amazing temple, an amazing Priest. An amazing congregation. If you are an Orthodox person, come to this Temple when you are in Samarkand and pray to our Lord.
Such a beautiful renovation was done .We took care of the parishioners, even put in an air conditioner, because the building itself is small, and our summer is hot .It used to be stuffy.A very good Church.
A good temple, calm. Clean and beautiful. We went in the evening after the service, there were a lot of children. It seems that there is a high school in Moscow (they did not ask)
