An amazing story of self-sacrifice in the name of religion. The customs of the tsars and the severity of that time are striking. The church is in excellent condition, it is better to come with a guide who will tell this story and show you the secret rooms upstairs.

The tomb of Saint Hripsime (revered in the Orthodox Church - her memorial day is October 13. according to the new style) is located, I do not know what it is called by the Armenians, we would say in the basement, i.e. in the basement. Access is free, relics are hidden, but there are icons, it is quite possible to pray to the Orthodox. The temple is very close to Yerevan, so it is very convenient to visit the temple of St. Hripsime, then drive to Etchmiadzin, and finish the trip at the temple of St. Gayane, which is five minutes from Etchmiadzin at a leisurely pace.

Beautiful architecture.The place where the city weddings of the newlyweds are held.Everyone parks on the main street, where you can't park, although there is free parking inside, but few people know about it.
