St. Mark's Church (Serbian Crkva Svetog Marka) on Tashmaidan was built from 1931 to 1940 in the immediate vicinity of the old church of 1835 according to the plans of architects Peter and Branko Krstic. The temple is decorated in the Serbian-Byzantine style.
Inside the temple there are magnificent frescoes and a memorable iconostasis.
There is a very cozy park next to the cathedral.
It is convenient to walk with children or friends here.
One of the most beautiful temples in Belgrade. Architectural beauty, inner dignity and the created mood are combined. An impression that lasts for years.
All churches in Serbia are beautiful))
St. Mark's Church stands out in the urban landscape of Belgrade. Majestic, beautiful, original, but at the same time cozy. It was so good to stand in the silence of the church in the very center of the city.
A beautiful Orthodox church. There is a beautiful mosaic inside. It's not crowded. There are benches. The singing is in Serbian, but the prayer itself is understandable.
The construction site of the church is memorable for the fact that here in 1830 Prince Milos and the Turkish government concluded an agreement on the independence and establishment of the Principality of Serbia.
