We came from Tashkent specifically to visit the museum, which is known all over the world. We booked the tour in advance, so they were already waiting for us by the time of the visit. The museum staff are very polite and helpful. Unfortunately, the exposition is modest: 2% of the total collection of paintings is on display and two floors are open.
It is important not to hide such an asset, a real treasure that Savitsky painstakingly collected, but to show and broadcast it as the property of the republic. Museums should serve the people, enrich the spiritual world and foster culture. Museums should not be closed and fall apart because no one knows or wants to invest money in them.
