An interesting place, for a small fee you can climb to the upper observation deck from where you can enjoy a great view of the old town and the Ark fortress. It is especially picturesque in spring. There is a small cafeteria downstairs, if you take your time, you can drink coffee right from the side of the historical exposition and listen to a story about this technical and architectural miracle.

A monument of the era, you might say. At one time, Shukhov built many towers of his own design in different cities. This one served as a water tower (one of the photos from that time). A significant part of the success in the construction business belonged to the riveting workers who joined the metal structures with rivets. Initially, they produced boilers and ship hulls. There is a museum dedicated to them in Gorokhovets (Vladimir region), and they came from there.
There is a beautiful view from the observation deck, it's a pity that we climbed there already at dusk ...
Visit, the restaurant upstairs is closed, but it's working downstairs))

The observation deck, which offers views of the central part of the city, is especially good in the evening illumination. The tower itself is a fine example of engineering art. The movie about the tower in the lower foyer is a custom cranberry and it's better not to watch it.

At the base there is a small museum with the history of the tower and a cafe, also not large.

An interesting building that is probably in the right place, but not very suitable for the environment. Registan Square, Ark Citadel, Bukhara's largest mosque, and nearby it's a pretty building. It doesn't fit me. I especially liked the camel caravan right at the foot of the tower.

Conflicting feelings from visiting this place. On the one hand, a masterpiece of engineering, on the other, the beauty and lightness of the structure was destroyed by the restaurant, which was located below and "ate" the basement. The mirrored elevator shaft also does not add grace. The local authorities, in an attempt to preserve this monument, have pretty much vulgarized it. It's a good thing they didn't cut it for scrap.

One of the central attractions in the Registan area. There is a view of the city - because the new city is far enough away, the districts are in the palm of your hand!
On the ground floor of the tower, a 10-minute video is shown briefly describing the construction of the tower, its history and what is associated with it.
There is a pond and a wooden mosque next to the tower, which does not prevent it from being very interesting and even beautiful. It is especially incomparable inside - this is a separate story - I recommend visiting, since we were near the tower.

A water tower built in Bukhara according to Shukhov's design in 1929. Located in the historical center on Registan Square. It was used for its intended purpose until the end of the 60s . Then, after the fire, it fell into disrepair and was in an abandoned state until recently. It was restored at the expense of French investors and now pleases tourists.
