I consider it one of the pearls of Orthodox Ukraine. There are a lot of greenery and flowers. The monastery is practically outside the city and therefore devoid of tourist fuss. If you came to rest and settled in the district of the 16th St. of the Big Fountain, then you can at least attend early Liturgies on foot every morning. The tram (19th) no longer runs, perhaps temporarily, but minibuses run every 5 minutes. In the monastery you can buy bakery, dairy and bee products, of your own production, very tasty and environmentally friendly.

The monastery is located on the outskirts of Odessa, on a Large Fountain. You can take a tram from the station. It looks spectacular from afar. The oldest and most interesting is the Assumption Cathedral, built in the Empire architectural style. The bell tower (reproducing examples of pseudo-Russian architecture of the second half of the 19th century) and the cathedral in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Life-giving Spring" (built in the style of Russian cathedrals of the XVI century) are new, although very high-quality. For the Orthodox, a visit is highly recommended.
