It's very sad. I was in the settlement of Otyrar, everything was done so well there, such a historical place. And it's a shame that we also have a historical place, but it's so abandoned. The erected walls are falling into disrepair, everything is overgrown with grass, there is no way to go in to see.
The settlement is closed to the public, the museum gates and toilets are not working. You can get to the ramparts through holes in the fence, but you still can't get to the territory of the archaeological monument, which is densely overgrown with tall grass. It is amazing that one of the few UNESCO sites in Kazakhstan is in such a state: after all, with proper care, it could attract many tourists.
