The Pz-III was installed as part of the Buinichi Field memorial. In 1941, the 172nd Infantry Division fought fierce but successful battles here, the commander of which, General Romanov, is depicted in the novel "The Living and the Dead" as Serpilin. Simonov himself was here in 1941, as a front-line correspondent for Izvestia, and with him was photographer Troshkin, who shot down German tanks.
