The Tashkent Zoo has undergone significant transformations of animal enclosures. Here are some of them:
1. The winter flamingo enclosure is equipped with a heated swimming pool and heated floor, and the wall is decorated with mirrors to create the illusion of a large flock of birds.
2. The hamadryad enclosure has been reconstructed with the construction of a summer enclosure connected to the winter room. The fences are made of durable laminated glass for the safety of people and animal viewing.
3. Enclosures for giraffes and zebras are combined, which has increased the territory and created conditions for communication between species. A major overhaul was carried out in the winter enclosure for giraffes with the installation of a warm automatic watering machine.
4. The open enclosures of the elephant have been repaired and equipped with a pond and canopies, and an electric fence has been installed for safety.
5. The new exhibition "Asia and Africa" includes an observation deck with two levels and renovated facades of buildings.
6. Aviaries for other ungulates have been reconstructed, durable triplex panels have been installed instead of grilles and ordinary glass.
7. The summer enclosures for wolves and bears have also been updated, including tiered structures, grassy cover, imitation rocks and caves, as well as playgrounds.
There are many animals, and the enclosures are quite large. Some animals can be fed with carrots sold here (grain for birds). The device is competent, the zoo is beautiful and convenient. There are playgrounds and lots of stalls and eateries with food. The only thing we didn't have was coffee- there's no coffee anywhere.
I really liked the zoo, there are many different animals. Some animals are allowed to be fed, you can take food with you, but you can only take healthy fruits and vegetables, and ducks can also be fed bread. There are many different attractions and playgrounds for small and medium-sized children. I recommend going with the family. There is a large parking lot in front of the zoo. Tickets are inexpensive. It is better to walk in the morning while it is not so hot and while there is no queue at the checkout.
Compared to previous years, it has become very well-groomed and well-maintained and very beautiful, the animals are active, especially lions and tigers, and a great themed pavilion with dinosaurs has also opened.
Great zoo! A large territory, many interesting animals, it is clear that they are well cared for. There are comfortable recreation areas, cafes, and playgrounds for children. I will definitely be back!
the last time I was here was in my early childhood , at that time the park and the animals were poorly monitored , the caves stank and the animals were uncomfortable , especially in the enclosure with primates.
In 2024, constant work is underway on the park, cleaning , washing , feeding animals, bringing new exotic ones, and so on.
the territory of the park is quite large, so you can just take a walk, as well as in all establishments of this type there are various types of secondary properties to occupy yourself (pears , cars, and so on )
for safety, this park holds a brand and it is safe to be near the pens, but still you must not forget that the animals are wild and for children We need an eye and an eye .
in general, this park was and will be one of the attractions of the city and it is definitely recommended for the local population to go there for the first and not the first time, as well as tourists
from animals, there are a huge number of them, from local to animals brought from afar
A large area, quite clean and tidy. The only thing I didn't like was a very small enclosure for panthers and servals. It is clear that the animals are not comfortable there. If deer, giraffes, goats and bears have very spacious territories, then the panthers are locked in narrow cages in the heat :(( Everything is very cool done in the dinopark, definitely worth a visit. Of the minuses, the snails of akhatinka were sitting in a dirty little aquarium :(
It's a great zoo. Lots of animals. There are elephants, lions, and bears. A beautiful large green area. Inexpensive. I recommend you to visit. The animals are well-groomed. The enclosures are large.
A good place to walk, a very large area. It will take about 4-5 hours to get around all the places and enjoy the views. There is an opportunity to take pictures with some animals. It is recommended to walk in company.
You can go once. Underfunding is evident. There are many Soviet buildings, a picturesque place. I liked the fish pavilion, the bears and tigers, the birds are interesting, and the goats are interesting too. The ticket price is symbolic.
The animals are new, and the number of them has increased. It is possible with children, but only with parental supervision. Feeding animals is allowed, but only with healthy fruits and vegetables. Playgrounds are available and construction of a park inside the zoo has begun. By the way, if you forget to take food with you to feed the animals inside the zoo, they sell the main thing, do not forget a purse with money!
It is very beautiful, cool, everything is thought out, the animals are well-groomed and well-fed, the Zulu cafe is on site, everything is delicious and fresh, delicious ice cream, although not very honest drivers of recreational vehicles and the toilet, although modern, but terribly dirty, it is clear that there is no one to clean there, and the staff tastefully savors cola in this Dirt, the assessment has decreased for this reason.
A good place to relax with your family, there are of course several disadvantages, firstly, there are a lot of paid additional attractions like dinosaurs, they built up a lot of all sorts of different children's attractions, turned the zoo into a children's amusement park, this should not be in a zoo, secondly, in many cages where animals or aquariums are dirty glasses, they have not washed since the time of the king of Peas, thirdly, animals are not bathed in the course of the word at all, they walk dirty, for example, an elephant, or camels, they can see stuck pieces of dirt, there are no normal places where you can have lunch, there are some sellers of corn, hot dogs, ice cream everywhere, well and finally, it is better not to go on a weekend, there is a crowd everywhere, there are so many people that you can't really look, there are a lot of regional ones, they take, drag even infants, and finally, the price of 40 thousand for admission, it is clearly overpriced
The concept of the zoo is very different from the Moscow one. It is clear that the Soviet engineers who designed the zoo really wanted to create a location in which both pets and visitors would feel as comfortable as possible. It should be noted that they succeeded. The animals are kept in separate buildings (by type), which create the most comfortable conditions for their stay. The buildings are clean, there is no smell, no dirt. Some of the buildings are open (aviaries with birds, lions, tigers, and other large animals). The zoo territory is large and very green. It is better to enter the zoo from the botanical garden, then your route will be built so that during the inspection you go down all the time, wear comfortable shoes, you will have to walk a lot. If you get tired, there is a tram running through the territory that will take you to the entrance area. There are several entrances to the zoo, if you went down, you can also get out there. There are several standard attractions for children of small age on the territory. If you are in Tashkent, and even with children, be sure to go to the zoo, honestly, you will not regret it.
I really liked the zoo!
A large territory, a variety of animals, some can even be fed. The animal enclosures are large, spacious, and clean. The monkeys are cute, the elephant is big, baby kangaroos, giraffes are adorable😍
The pond and catamarans are original - ducks swim right there, which can be fed.
I highly recommend you to visit.
I love our zoo. I go with my grandchildren. They're thrilled. They fed the deer with carrots. They saw an elephant a meter away from the fence.. The weather was gorgeous. The rental of kalyasok is especially helpful. That's a great idea.
Unfortunately this is not a zoo and amusement Park, ponastavili every step of the machines and rides, animals, little,in my childhood, the zoo was much better,if the state has no money for the improvement and maintenance of the zoo is very bad, this is one of the indicators of the welfare of the country, the presence of museums, parks, zoos, theaters, etc.😔
A must-visit. Well-fed animals)). Bears seem to be preparing for hibernation all the time (full). Lions, elephants, giraffes and other animals and birds. The only problem is parking, so it's better to take a taxi.
It's just great. As it became possible to take care of animals, so everything has grown. Bears, lions, tigers walk plump, healthy. It's just a joy to watch. Before, of course, it was hard for the zoo, and the animals were thin. They opened different aviaries, pythons, hippos, monkeys, birds. There are also giraffes, zebras and an elephant. Well, cool. It was interesting to go. Jurassic Park is also cool. After visiting the park, both children and adults are happy.
I can't say anything about nutrition, I didn't notice any cafes operating in the park.
We visited the zoo in early March, the zoo is very huge, many different animals and exotic birds, all have large valliers. You won't see this in every zoo. We are thrilled. You can wander around the territory all day, there are many cafes and entertainment for children. There is a lake where you can rent a catamaran and swim surrounded by birds. There is also a dinopark, which is also very interesting even for adults, dinosaurs are like real ones, there are a lot of greenery around, you get into a jungle. You need to pay for admission separately. It's a pity that repairs were underway in some places in the zoo, someone may not have been seen.
It's a great zoo. Yes, it's a little old, but the animals are interesting. You should definitely go with the children.
Take a carrot with you, you can feed the animals with it. There are 10 thousand soums for a small bag. There are 1kg and 6 thousand sums in the bazaar. During feeding, you can pet Bambi and Alpacas.
There is a petting zoo there with turtles, rabbits and hamsters. Our baby was delighted.
Thanks to the staff, they showed and explained everything, albeit on their fingers, but we understood everything.
The zoo is nice, there are trees and shady alleys so that it is pleasant to walk. There are a lot of animals that you will really like. Recently, the sale of animal feed was introduced. Well done. I put 4 currents because the predators look hungry and very pitifully ask for food, which gives the impression that the animals are underfed. There are no complaints about the zoo itself, everything is organized well and I will not argue that the animals are hungry because I do not understand this. In any case, it's worth coming
Minuses. The first and most important thing is to take care of the animals and their enclosures! Many of them have a hellish smell and dirt. I would like to ask the zoo administration a question: would you like to live in such conditions? In general, there are few animals, most of the territory is occupied by attractions and trade (food and all sorts of nonsense). The zoo is in a sad state, many remote paths are unkempt, overgrown with grass, dirty. There is no purity or beauty. Toilets throughout the zoo are paid, 3,000 soums, it's a disgrace. The toilets are dirty. You pay for the entrance first, then inside a bunch more times.
Tashkent Zoo is a cool place, I've been there many times, so in the new year 2024 we visited with the whole family, and the children were happy, especially a large overview of feathered species from domestic chickens to rare bird species... Class, also all animals, many species of bears, and all animals except the giraffe have not seen it, and a very poor overview of reptiles ......
But still it did not upset us and we were content with everything we have.
I advise everyone to visit our zoo in Tashkent.
Visiting this zoo was a pleasant experience. There is a great variety of animals and each creature impresses with its beauty and uniqueness. The zoo's flora is very pleasant and well maintained. I would like to note the professionalism of the staff, since the animals are kept at the proper level, and surprisingly there is no pungent smell like in other zoos I have been to. I recommend visiting this zoo to get pleasant impressions and smiles.
The zoo was very pleased this year! You can see that the animals are very well cared for, everyone looks pretty great and the territory has been super expanded👍🏻
I visited the zoo for the first time, the largest in Uzbekistan, I advise you to go there, you can have a good time there, thank you very much to those who work and take care of animals, there are also attractions for children and cafes
When I came back a few years later, I was shocked. I went to the zoo yesterday and left with tears in my eyes. The animals are fed with already rotten meat, and insect scavengers are already sitting on it. I'm not talking about predators that can eat such meat, but tigers and rare white tigers eat such meat out of desperation. And as you know, this is exactly what this hopeless situation is) I apologize for the details, but almost all animals have diarrhea, which tells me that this is abnormal. Rodents are already in small spaces, and everything is covered in dirt and their own excrement. The smell is terrible just. The goats don't have a single piece of earth in their cage where their excrement isn't. The rabbit is trapped in the corners from hopelessness where they did not go to the toilet. In small cages, they stupidly go to the toilet at each other. There are even dead animals in some places. The bear has a terrible mane, on one side it is, on the other it is not. I don't think this is a feature of his molting)
They didn't let us see the primates and birds, they said they were being repaired, but I managed to look at the primates outside the cage) I saw a picture of a man who looked to be under 50 years old with a child and his wife standing and snorting at a cougar while filming it on camera) The cougar was in shock, just like me) At the same time, no one made a comment from the park staff, but we were criticized for throwing an apple to the hippopotamus, and 4 times we were told that we could not. Although there was a heartbreaking picture in a cage with badgers. We threw a piece of apple into the cage, and the badger found himself without a leg, and he frantically crawled to this apple to eat it, while he had food in a bowl. The animals stupidly did not eat what they had, but they ate ordinary apples with wild joy. I had guests from America who came to see me, and I thought they were shocked by what they saw. Most likely, we will not leave this situation just like that, as it was very painful to look at these animals, tears welled up in everyone.
I ASK EVERYONE TO HELP IN THIS MATTER AS BEST THEY CAN.
Just go and see for yourself!!!
I add it after a while
The park administration wrote to me about the slander, and threatened the court)
Then see for yourself)))
On 16.01.2025, we visited this zoo. Passing by the next photographers, my daughter saw a cat and ran after it. The cat ran under the bench to the photographers. They began to persuade me to take a picture with a cat, I immediately said that you should not give a street animal to a child. The photographers handed the cat to the daughter, as a result, the cat clung to the daughter's face.
The medical center was not working at the zoo, I turned to the guard post, to which they laughed at me. They said they would call a doctor, but no one came. An hour later, they gave me a remedy to treat the scratches. They said go to the hospital yourself.
As Russian citizens, we were accepted only in Tashmi.
I contacted the zoo administration, they promised to find out everything and call me back. It's been almost a week, and no one has called back.
I ask the zoo administration to find the cat and carry out all necessary procedures to find out if the cat is sick with rabies.
