I love dolma very much and every time I visit Yerevan, I order only it, and also be sure to try compotes, very juicy with pieces of berries and fruits.
The first time I was here was in 2014, before, of course, the portions of meat were much larger, that year we were with my husband, there was not so much meat on the bones.
This year we took potatoes with mushrooms, a very tasty dish.,
By the way, as a souvenir, you can take a red apple on the way out and take a picture with the staff

We visited two restaurants of this chain in Yerevan. Everywhere there is a pleasant interior, excellent and fast service, affordable prices and delicious food, large portions. On Friday evenings and weekends, it is probably better to book in advance.
I especially liked the pomegranate wine and grilled potatoes. Sevan whitefish on the grill is good, you can safely take one fish for two.
The check includes a 10% service charge, but I don't mind, I always leave a tip, and here the staff deserves it.

We visited the Yerevan tavern on 11/18/14. There is a large selection of Armenian dishes, the prices are adequate for the restaurant. Well, the location is excellent - the city center. Spacious hall, lots of tables, friendly staff.
We ordered 2 types of kebabs (pork, beef liver) and dogwood compote. In general, it's fine, but I wouldn't order a second time. A huge plus is that Mir cards are accepted.

There are places in every city where locals go. In Yerevan, this is the "Yerevan Tavern". The usual interior consists of wooden tables and chairs, several halls, and live music in one of them. Which is convenient - despite the fact that the menu is entirely in Armenian, there are photos of dishes on the menu. You can view and order by photo. By the way, the photos fully correspond to what is brought to the table. They cook very tasty - they ordered lobio, satsivi from fish, lamb kebab, khinkali with several fillings, everything was very tasty. The portions are large. Very nice waiters - if they don't understand something in Russian, they bring someone who will understand. At the same time, the order was delivered quickly. The bill for two was about 3 thousand, while half of the table was packed for us. Thank you for your hospitality.

We ordered a lot, couldn't handle it, and asked them to pack it with us. They found out at home that they hadn't packed everything. Food prices for the restaurant are normal. The wine is very expensive. We ordered beer. Of the 6 types on the menu, only 3 were available. We won't go there next time.

Не сказала бы, что блюда все прям "ах, как вкусно". Все качественно, съедобно, но не впечатлило, как-то просто, что ли показалось...
Единственное, что очень понравилась - Долма Ереван с изюмом. Пусть вас не смущает наличие изюма в мясной начинке, он никак не портит вкус блюдо, а наоборот обогащает его.
Персонал говорит по-русски, расторопный, может даже через чур, иногда создавая ощущение суеты.

Well, we should, of course.
And we went to the most central one, next to Republic Square. And... they didn't let us in under the pretext of no seats, but... There are 7 huge halls and it's Tuesday evening... Well, there's also the body language of the "greeters." We are not welcome there. This is the only case in all these days. And he emphasized how warmly and sincerely we are treated here the rest of the time. Then, by the way, we read the reviews, and yes, this is not a one-time promotion, but a trend, even booking by phone is not possible in Armenian, they will also say there are no places.
But, the funny thing is, we walked (15 minutes, on Khorinatsi Street) to another establishment of the same chain, the same "Yerevan Tavern" and ... There were places, and they were welcomed as dear guests, and it was great service, as well as food. That's the paradox.
As a result, we recommend the place, the main thing is not that on Amiryan Street.

We entered by chance, as there were no places in the restaurants nearby . We were also given a dinner time of 1.5 hours. The decor in the hall corresponds to the name. We took kebabs and the first one . The first courses are ordinary, not wow , but you can eat, srednichok . The barbecue on the rib was delicious , but it was very sunny and it wasn 't grilled over coals . The ribs are a little dry . In general, it 's a normal place, but you can 't get much excitement here, as happens in many Armenian cafes . A good average score .

Quite a popular place in the city center. We stopped by for dinner. There were quite a lot of people.
We ordered a summer salad, eggplant rolls, chicken soup, vats, khurjin, khachapuri in Ajarian, dogwood compote.
The salad is excellent: fresh, juicy vegetables with herbs. Rolls, chicken soup are worthy. The vats are empty, there is not enough spice. Khachapuri is frankly weak: a lot of eggs, little cheese stretching. Khurjin is excellent both in serving and taste: a lot of meat and vegetables imbue the taste of the finest pita bread. The compote is also super.
The service is good, but not very friendly.
The total check came out at 17,380 AMD. The 10% service fee is automatically enabled.

A wonderful place! Authentic cuisine, excellent service. We were also lucky to get to live music - an ensemble of Armenian folk instruments played, and a very vociferous singer periodically sang. The dishes are all at the highest level. We had dinner at a restaurant one night, and the next ordered food delivered to the hotel.
For those who want to try real Armenian cuisine, this is the very thing.

I came with a group, ordered all kinds of snacks and fresh apple juice. Snacks are so-so, everything is salty for some reason. The fresh was nothing like that, but I only managed to drink half of it, because the waiter knocked my glass over on me while serving the dish to my colleague. The waiter did not apologize for the incident, the drink was not replaced, and fresh was included in the bill. The cherry on the cake is a mandatory 10% tip on top of the bill for meals. And I will never go to this place again, and I will not recommend it to anyone.

Wasted money!
We came to eat with our family, bought into the super reviews! BUT it's not really that good.
1. The waiters are like flies, they look at your mouth, they don't let you eat in peace. And they don't clean the table, they just stare.
2. There are few tables.
3. The prices are high.
4. Shish kebab oak meat! Not grilled, but as if fried in a frying pan, very salty, not even pickled onions. And so I wanted to try a real Armenian barbecue. And they took several types. And they brought everything in one plate.
