Tbilisi State Puppet Theater named after Rezo Gabriadze
Cultural institution in Tbilisi.
Located in the historic district
The old town, on Shavteli Street, 13. The landmark of the city, a very pleasant place, we could not get into the theater itself, but we walked around the city with great pleasure.
A place to visit if you want to get into the spirit of Tbilisi. Rezo Gabriadze's performances are imbued with kindness, naive trust and benevolence inherent in the Georgian people. The genre of the puppet theater continues a number of visual images created by the artists Pirosmani and Gudiashvili. It should be borne in mind that the hall is a chamber and tickets must be purchased in advance.
A great place in old Tbilisi. A very unusual building with a clock on the tower, which strikes every hour with the release of dolls. The street nearby, unlike the whole old town, is very well maintained, it is one of the best tourist destinations. Nearby cafes, art salons, the residence of the Patriarch.
The hall in the theater is small and cozy. The performance is in Georgian, there is simultaneous accompaniment in headphones in Russian with the sweetest Georgian accent (it looks like Rezo Gabriadze himself read it). The play about the legacy of the French marshal is a direct continuation of the famous story about the matchmaker Khanuma - it's a firework of humor!
This is a must-visit place!
