I think that the organizers of this museum are ardent embittered anti-Soviets, since they compare the socialist system. And for some reason they didn't even have the courage to use a real Nazi symbol, but replaced it with an abstract cross. An anti-scientific and biased museum. In an attempt to pull an owl onto a globe, a boring collection has been assembled that does not display anything. Why is it not shown how Hungarian rebels brutally killed Hungarian communists and government officials?I think if the entrance is free, then there will be no more visitors. This is just a place that is designed to manipulate emotions, created to denigrate the Soviet period, unwillingly to see its many achievements.
Hello everyone 👋🏻
An audio guide is required, there is a printed inf in English at each entrance, the footage shocks and excites something inside. You can download a Google translator and translate the signs on the walls, but for this you should get a local Internet. Photos and videos are prohibited 🚫
The museum is about the German and Soviet occupation of Hungary. Here you can understand why the Baltic and Eastern European countries are biased against the Russians/Soviet Union. People who know history only from Soviet/Russian textbooks may be shocked. Be sure to take an audio guide. The entrance is 3000 HUF, the audio guide is 1500.
We visited this place only on our second visit to Budapest. The building itself has a rich and rather sad history for the Hungarian people.
In my opinion, the museum is a must for everyone who is interested in the history of this country.
