The guides need to be more Christian-oriented. It was a but disappointing that the important things were described as political while in reality they were because of the Christian faith of Armenians.

i would suggest to take a guide but its a gamble because i’ve seen some amazing ones and some not so great ones. other than that its a free entry museum that tells a very important part of history of the armenian people. a must visit place for sure.
I recommend this museum to everyone, especially those who, like me, are visiting Yerevan for the first time. One of the key codes of the nation is located here. Without knowing this information, everything will be perceived wrong, not correctly. Well, that's about it, if you come to the Easter holiday without knowing anything about it and just eat cakes and
eggs.
We went to the museum right away, on the first day of our vacation.
The museum is comfortable, the air conditioners work in the heat. Do not spare money for a guide. Structured information is a joy to the brain. A very competently and delicately constructed tour with watching a fragment of the film lasts about an hour, you will not have time to get tired. If you want, then you can go back and walk on your own: there are about 10 halls. There is a shop where you can buy books on the history of Armenia and various souvenirs. To unwind, reflect and have lunch, you can go to the shopping center - Dolma mall is located nearby. Guided tours in English and Russian.
The museum is very interesting and must be visited to get information about the Armenian nation. Russian Russian, English), it is important, for example, there is nothing in Russian in the Museum of the History of Armenia and it is very sad. Everything is written on the stands sequentially in several halls with photos in 3 languages (Armenian, Russian, English). If desired, you can plan a tour and they will tell you everything. After the visit, there is a very painful feeling, how much this people had to go through.
A must-visit. A magnificent exposition. You need to take an individual tour. I recommend the guide Angela, an incredibly interesting, intelligent scientist.
We visited the museum for the first time in 2016. I was impressed by the story .. 😢 This year , when visiting Yerevan , they brought their youngest son . I would like him to learn and see the history of the Armenian people . I consider this place a must-visit . Admission to the museum is free (if you want to take a guide, then of course it is paid) But in general, everything is clear without a guide. Everything is described in great detail . Thanks to the administration of the city or the museum for not taking money for admission. Nowadays this is a rarity..
It is very impressive, the story is well described, I learned a lot about history in general and the history of the Armenian people. An entire room is dedicated to the role of women in the resistance to genocide. Admission is free, you can book a guided tour.
It is a very atmospheric place, saturated with the atmosphere of sadness and memory of the Armenian Genocide. You can learn a lot from the history of the 18th and 19th centuries of Armenia, including how European politicians of several generations cover up and rewrite historical facts. I definitely recommend you to visit. There will be no indifferent people.
A very interesting museum. I definitely advise you to come here. Several hours flew by unnoticed. Everything is translated into Russian. Admission is free. There is a gift shop
It is definitely worth visiting the memorial and museum complex. Be ready to see all the horror experienced by the Armenian people. Most likely, over the many centuries of human history, every nation has experienced persecution and deprivation. There is a lot of information in Russian on photos, stands and online.
An important place for everyone who visits. Informative exposition. As an example of myself: I didn't know a lot; a lot of photos. It may not be very clear to children, but teenagers and older need to show and tell. Admission is free.
We visited in January, walked around the territory, everything is beautiful and clean. It's interesting in the museum itself, the main thing is free. I read a lot, went through the exposition probably in 2 hours, watched a lot of movie chronicles.
A very interesting tour of the museum, a lot of evidence of genocide, testimonies of people, with immersion, so to speak. I was impressed by the fact that in many world newspapers of the early 20th century they wrote about the massacre of Armenians, their destruction, the magazines, newspapers and books themselves were presented in the museum, that is, everything happened in front of the world community.
I recommend the room and be sure to take a guided tour. You can try to team up with other visitors, but the museum staff is strongly against this. You need to pay for the tour at the gift shop.
A large-scale place of remembrance with a well-equipped free museum of the Armenian Genocide and other peoples.
A large well-maintained park with many dozens of plants planted by numerous high-ranking representatives of the states that visited it.
A beautiful and of course sad place. It's quite informative, and you'll learn a lot of new things. Admission is free. A bonus is the stunning view from the observation deck of Ararat in clear weather.
There is no elevator for people with limited mobility, a steep descent down the stairs leads to the museum. For some reason there are no excursions. I mean, they're not here today. It's a pity, I would like to listen to a professional guide.
A very strong place!
Thank you to this museum for keeping the memory alive and finding the strength to tell about these terrible events!
I recommend taking a guided tour to fully immerse yourself in this dark story from the recent past.
I recommend you to visit. The main expositions are duplicated in Russian. The later ones are in English only. There is a lot of information about the life of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire.
After the visit, I was impressed, I managed to feel the tragedy of the Armenian people, I recommend visiting, a very informative museum, nothing superfluous
A free museum. If you read everything straight, then you can stay for 3-4 hours. It is a heavy museum (about humanity), but it is made professionally and qualitatively and is definitely worth a visit to understand the history
Очень впечатляющая экспозиция, инфографика первого зала очень порадовала. Много видео материалов и исторических экспонатов. Советую посетить для ознакомления с историей Армении.
Советую к посещению.
Be sure to book a guided tour. You will learn a lot about Armenia and understand it. Very great impressions. However, the tour costs 5000 rubles. There were four of us who paid 5,000. The woman was alone with us and also paid 5,000. Business in Armenian, unfortunately. Gather a company. And I highly recommend it. We went there and back by Yandex taxi, so it's cheaper and more convenient to get there.
Tragic pages of Armenian history. It opens your eyes to a lot and parallels with the current time suggest themselves. History does not teach us anything, unfortunately....
I recommend visiting!
The museum helped to recreate the picture of the tragedy and systematize knowledge. You will come and understand how much misery and pain the Armenian people have suffered.
An interesting museum if you want to learn more about the Armenian people, but rather "heavy". A lot of photos and text, there is a video chronicle. Outside, you can walk in the park.
A must-visit place to get acquainted with the history of the Armenians. I think no one will remain indifferent to this dark page of history. Everyone should be aware of the atrocities of the Turks (who, by the way, still do not recognize these murders on national and religious grounds as genocide)

Many thanks to the museum staff for the visual and informative exposition. The tour was held in one go. Admission to the museum is free.
The museum is mostly informational. There are exhibits, but mostly get ready to read texts and look at photos.
At first, you may not notice that there is not only one floor, but at least half of the exposition on the ground floor.
Admission is free, you can leave a donation.
Остался под впечатлением после посещения данного музея. Очень много информации, документов и вещей, связанных с геноцидом. Есть комнаты, где проектор показывает фото- видеоматериалы тех времён.
