My name is Irina, I work for the Pantheon tour operator company.
Today I want to share my impressions about The Chedi Muscat 5 hotel*
1. Location
It takes 15 minutes by car from the airport to the hotel. Muscat is 5 km away.
2. The territory
A simple and stylish hotel with a well-maintained territory. The lobby resembles an Arab tent, with the scent of incense in the air. The hotel has 3 outdoor pools (one of them is 103 meters long), 6 restaurants and 2 tennis courts.
There are places that are accessible only for adults (swimming pools, restaurants) + there is no infrastructure for children here, which for some people will be a plus.
A large SPA, a relaxation room with a beautiful view of the bay. I liked the gym, each simulator is fenced with wooden panels that create privacy, it is much more pleasant to practice.
If it is relevant for someone: the hotel has 2 conference rooms.
3. The room
The rooms are located in snow-white houses. The simplest room categories with an area of 33 sq. m are simple and concise. Comfortable beds and pillows, high quality bed linen. Aqua di Parma cosmetics. The only thing is that I didn't have enough light in the room, but it's individual for everyone. The hotel manager said that Russian tourists most often book the Suite category. When booking Club rooms, access to the Club Lounge is provided.
4. Nutrition
The stylish main restaurant offers Indian, Arabic, and European cuisines. There is also a "cold" room. The breakfasts are excellent - buffet + you can order dishes from the menu.
On the beach, The Beach is a Middle Eastern restaurant overlooking the bay (open for dinners), there is a lot of open space and air. Delicious fish and seafood.
5. Entertainment
There is no active entertainment in the hotel, in the evening you can smoke a hookah or have a romantic dinner on the beach.
6. The beach
The hotel is located on the 1st coastline, a private beach with a gentle entrance to the water, but in places there are small pebbles. Not as impressive as in Jumeirah Muscat or Shangri-La, but still decent. In addition, you need to take into account the difference in the location of the hotels.
Chedi beach is very fond of seagulls, they sit along the entire coast))
7. The overall impression
A good hotel for a relaxing holiday. Europeans mostly rest here, we managed to talk to some of them, and she pointed out the ideal service - the staff is always there, but at the same time unobtrusive. It is ideal for couples and people who appreciate a secluded vacation, but also want to be able to get out into the city. Here you can combine it.

Nice hotel. It's a little confusing, but we figured out quickly where and what. We were in December - it's a little windy in the afternoon. We took a good breakfast. Mostly Europeans are vacationing. I haven't seen any Russians besides us. A pleasant pool bar on the beach. The hotel is full of relaxation. I especially liked the pool at the spa. By the way -one of the best gyms 👌👌👌
An atmospheric hotel for those who need service and privacy. Everything is beautiful, expensive, delicious and private. You can relax by yourself or send your tourists here, many people will like it, but not everyone, there is no movement.
The hotel is generally good. Very nice lawns and ponds with fountains. The rooms have a strange layout-you enter and immediately on the right and on the left there are washbasins and a toilet and a shower with glass doors. The windows in the deluxe room do not open.I had to ventilate through the door. They give fruits that are not ripe and not tasty. And vegetables are probably not bought in the north- in the countries of the eternally green tomatoes. There are no berries in principle. The beach is not white sand with pebbles, The descent into the sea is shallow. The whole beach is lit up with seagulls. There are no barriers to the swimming area, and even more so there is no raft. The fish was perfectly cooked in the pool restaurant, And in the fish restaurant the price of fish was 10 times higher than in the city. In general, it is necessary to retrain in Turkey.
