This is the best market for fresh agricultural products, there are many sellers, among whom you will definitely find your own, a large selection at prices that are generally better than in stores. But for this bazaar, which is wonderful in all respects, I would like the administration to ensure perfect cleanliness in the toilets, which leaves much to be desired, there is always a terrible smell, except for a small bathroom on the second floor of the old building... and the administration should have already made it perfectly paved or tiled around and inside the bazaar, this is the same place where not only residents of the city come, but also its guests, including foreign ones, it is a shame not to ensure cleanliness in the toilets and high-quality paths of such a city landmark!

The Green Bazaar in Almaty is the oldest market in the city. Here you can buy a lot of interesting things, starting from national goodies and ending with jewelry ...
As in any oriental bazaar, you have to bargain here. Sellers, for the most part, are very fussy and friendly. I especially liked the rows with all sorts of nuts and dried fruits, they give you a taste of everything. While two rows have passed, we have had enough :)
If you like horse meat and meat delicacies, then this market has the largest selection. We bought smoked kazy (horse meat sausage), packed it in a vacuum bag and also gave us a piece of dried meat as a gift.
I definitely recommend visiting all the guests of the city! But keep in mind that the market is large, two-tiered, and it will hardly be possible to get around it in an hour. Personally, I spent half a day there and am very happy. It's like a paradise for a shopaholic 🤩👍
By the way, there are various cafes on the territory where you can taste national cuisine. Nowhere is meat cooked so divinely as in Kazakhstan 🥰

The legendary market. You can find anything in a different price range.
I usually buy herbal teas and fruits and vegetables. But you need to be careful and ask the price first. Since the place is a tourist destination, the price tag may be overstated. Of course, this does not apply to everyone, but incidents do occur.
There are cool cafes on the second floor where you can drink coffee and take a break from shopping) and also take cool photos from an interesting angle.

A wonderful tourist destination, a selection of goods for every taste, from exotic to purely national. Clean, tidy, we had coffee on the 2nd floor gallery, I did not expect that there could be such a fine coffee on the market! I recommend you to visit! There is a Turkish Delight factory nearby - sweets for every taste!

The coolest bazaar in Almaty. I really like to walk around it. You can always buy something interesting, starting with groceries and ending with souvenirs. The prices are excellent. Vegetables are always fresh. The meat is super. You can go through the duffel bag. Everything is convenient "at hand" and you don't have to go far. Recommend.

Well, a bazaar is like a bazaar, only big. visited in January 2025. On sale, as in any bazaar, the choice is standard. Of the special ones, there is a boutique/store of Chinese products, very entertaining. We bought nuts at the bazaar, honey, and Aport apples (a unique apple variety known in Almaty). I recommend the Green Bazaar to visit, but once is enough if you are a tourist.

The place is legendary, in my opinion, it does not deserve a lower rating. I recommend every guest of the city to visit the Green Bazaar and leave with a purchase. My impressions are only positive. I bought fruits and cherries — they tasted and looked like they were in the top ten.
It's expensive here.
I am writing this review more than a year and a half after my trip to Almaty. Yes, maybe compared to reviews of other places, this review sounds brighter ... but to each his own)
