We visited this hotel in early April 2023 (during Ramadan).
In general, the hotel is excellent, 5 stars, everything is beautiful, stylish, clean, the rooms are spacious, the Windows are panoramic (we really did not go to the sea, but to the houses), cleaning every day, everything you need is there (hair dryer, coffee, tea, soap, gel, toothbrushes, etc.), fast Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel (but downstairs in the lobby and on the roof on the 15th floor near the pool is even faster).
Food.
We had breakfast and dinner, it was about the same every day, but it's usually the same everywhere. The choice is quite extensive: sausage of various types, salmon, sausages, eggs, croutons , cheeses , vegetables , buns , fruits ... For dinner there is also a large selection, a lot of meat of various kinds, cooked in different variations, fish, rice, vegetables, salads, very tasty desserts.
In the evening, a lot of locals often come to the hotel for dinner with whole families, they book a table there in advance, as in an ordinary restaurant.
Drinks include various juices , cocktails (dairy, used), tea, coffee. If you take full board +, then pour a glass of wine or beer to choose from for dinner and lunch.
Beach.
The hotel has its own beach, it takes 7-10 minutes to walk to it, the beach is good, they give towels there, you can't bring water with you, but you can take it for free, a lot of sun beds , few people, there is a bar (expensive), there are showers, toilets, changing rooms, in general, everything is there, everything is perfectly equipped , the sand is fine ,white ,pleasant😁
Entertainments.
There are none during Ramadan. The hotel has a bar and a bowling alley, but they were closed until the end of Ramadan. The hotel also has a rooftop pool on the 15th floor, where you can spend a very pleasant time, lie down, sunbathe and spend the sunset, although the water in the pool is cold now, it is not warming up yet.
There is a small gym on the 3rd floor, there are almost never any people there, there is also a spa, but we haven't been there, I can't say anything about it.
There are few excursions and places to visit in Bahrain, they usually offer "combo" trips to a museum, a mosque, a camel farm, etc. and it costs about $ 80 per person approximately. We only went to the Al Areen bird sanctuary (entrance is 2 dinars), I liked it, although again during Ramadan not everything worked there, but there were few people. And by the way, during Ramadan, the reserve is open until 14:00, we arrived for the first time at 13:30 and were turned around, we spent a lot of money on a taxi in vain.Speaking of taxis, I couldn't call Uber through the app and pay in cash, they asked me to link a card, but Russian cards are not linked. Another tourist could have called a taxi, but he had a local SIM card, maybe it depends on it, maybe on something else, I don't know.
Recommendations:
If you drink alcohol, it is better to take it with you immediately for the entire trip. Everything is very expensive in Bahrain and alcohol is more expensive than in the rest of the world and it still needs to be found. You will not find it anywhere in Ramadan, only in duty free at the exit from the airport and then only if you order room service at the hotel , but it is very expensive there squared. And so there are alcohol shops in Manama, but there is most likely also a horse price tag and if you do not live next to this store, then you still need to get to it and then from it, and this is also plus the cost of a taxi, which is also expensive.
2. Take more cash, union pay works, but not everywhere, in the hotel some terminal accepted the card, some did not, in duty free you can not pay anywhere with this card at all and in the store next to the hotel the terminal also did not accept, it gave an error.
3. It is better to change the money on arrival immediately at the airport or then at the store next to the hotel (megamart in laguna), where you can pay in dollars and give change in dinars, it is more profitable to change them there than at the hotel. And in general, you can buy something to eat in this store if you don't have lunch and you arrived during Ramadan, because you can't find more food anywhere before sunset, the restaurants are closed. And accordingly, there is nothing to do in the city itself during the day, it is hot and everything is closed, it is better to go there in the evening.
In general, I would not go to Bahrain again, although there are people who like it there and they have already come there for the second or third time. As for me, it's a bit boring there, but I really liked the hotel, and the rest, in principle, too, but it would have been better if I had arrived after Ramadan, I think it would have been more fun.
Great hotel, very nice rooms. Cleanliness, order - everything is at the highest level.
The food is very tasty and varied. And not only the chicken, there was also a lot of beef, lamb ribs. Fruits, desserts.
The hotel has its own beach, it takes 5 minutes to walk, but the beach is closed, serviced, and clean. The price tag for drinks and food on the beach is high. They don't give you anything to bring with you, not even water.
The hotel is super, it is correct to say that it is a business center, but the opinion does not change. The staff is very helpful, the facilities are absolutely everything. Great food - we took full board (we got into Ramadan). The beach, as they say, is the most fashionable and expensive in Bahrain.
Expensive, but good. You can choose the food, there is enough of everything. Towels, bathrobes can be requested, they will be brought if not initially.
