I want to share my feedback after visiting this hotel chain. So to speak, leave a farewell review to close the topic and not come back here anymore.
We rested here more than once in different parts of the grid. We visited both the WaterWorld and the Palace, and usually left satisfied, with pleasant impressions. During this check-in, the family lived for 2 weeks at Macadi Palace. We immediately learned from the guide about possible bonuses for regular visitors. It turned out that the loyalty system for permanent residents was removed, and we will be treated the same as those who came here for the first time. Well, it doesn't matter - we thought and made a big mistake. Together with the guide, we learned about the possibility of using the beach (umbrellas and sun beds) of WaterWorld, since only this hotel has a normal beach with the opportunity to swim and see the reef. By the way, the reef has deteriorated very much in a year. Now the underwater world can only be viewed at depth, because everything that was near the shore is dead and lifeless. There are rare fish, but even those can be counted on the fingers in terms of species diversity. We took the sun beds, everything was fine for a couple of days - we went and swam, the staff smiled and "made friends" in every possible way. But then something went wrong, Jupiter and Saturn turned sideways, and now the local life guard is standing over us and in a rather rude manner demands that we vacate the sunbeds. After all, "the rules of our hotel say that only WaterWorld guests can use the sun beds." And it doesn't matter that half of the beach is lying and sunbathing with bracelets from other hotels.
At the reception of Makadi Palace, it turned out that we were deceived upon arrival. And you won't be able to solve this problem even for money. After all, someone else's hotel is full, there are no places on the beach! However, even during the rush hour, the sunbeds and umbrellas were free. Of course, you can buy a bracelet from another hotel for the day, but, let me say, $23? A day? When have you already paid $4,000 for an all-inclusive vacation? And it would be fine if it was all told at the entrance, but it's not like that. The staff lies and does not blush, so long as you are not outraged at the moment. And this applies to most of the staff of the entire grid! They are "just doing their job." No. It doesn't work that way. This is not a 5 star hotel service.
But let's go through the whole thing. We chose the Palace only for reasons of more tolerable food. The food here is not bad, you will not go hungry, only if you are not picky or allergic. In WaterWorld, there were problems with meat and spices, there are similar problems here, but they appear less often. At least you'll find meat and fish here. However, it is not a fact that you will like it. Basically, good 4* food is only available in the DOM, but it opens only in the evening, which is why there are quite a lot of people who want to eat normally at least once a day. Ala kart restaurants (by appointment. You can sign up every day, which is +) there are only 2. And of these, only Thai can be called normal and good. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, poisoning has not been noticed in any family member (which cannot be said about the main restaurants where breakfast and lunch are usually held, but more on that below). There are no complaints here. And there is Botany, in which the food is so-so, most of the items can be collected and tasted in the main restaurants. The unfriendly staff, who will not explain very kindly that pasta and meat cannot be ordered by one person, but you need to choose either or. I ate a salad, had a bite of pasta and... that's it. Well, you can have dessert. And then go hungry until morning. Obviously, you haven't heard about pizza here in the Italian restaurant.
About poisoning. It is not clear exactly where the root of all evil is, but the fact is the fact. In the first 8 days, the children were poisoned twice!!! Chills, acute pain and cramps throughout the intestines and stomach, loose stools that do not stop even with medications. Other guests also complained of similar symptoms, three families, according to their statements, were poisoned in the DOM. One couple had a bad condition for several (!!!) days. It is suspected that the water in the pools is also not very clean, and the children could have swallowed water while diving. The water in the pool is treated with something in the evenings, so it's not clear...
Everything is interesting with drinks too. The alcohol is local, clearly diluted. They pour it on the eye at random, plus they do not always follow their own drink recipe. If you want a cocktail, sit down near the Joker or in a burger joint and drink from glass glasses, otherwise you will be stifling a golden juice or cola with a slight taste of alcohol. Only a few bartenders will do something decent for you, and then it all depends on their attitude towards you. And if you take alcohol with ice, expect problems with the gastrointestinal tract. Because the ice water is handled poorly here.
As it is written above, the beach with entry into the water is normal only for one hotel of the chain, the Palace beach is practically not designed for swimming - only sunbathing and swimming at depth. Dead corals cut your legs and you will not be able to swim on the shoals, since the water there is at most 30 centimeters + sea urchins waiting for you to step on them. The only thing that is possible is to swim to the depths, but this is still a challenge and without special shoes can be an extremely risky activity.
And you can also go to the pier from 10 to 17 - however, there you will find 10 fenced meters where you will swim a little and that's it.
The pools were updated, repaired, and new tiles were laid (although there are chips and bald spots in places). However, for a person 1.7 meters tall, it is normal to swim only in the Olympic and in the pool next to the Joker. Other pools can only be considered as paddling pools. They clean so-so, but very diligently. So that half-dissolved napkins and leaves float on the bottom. And there are peculiar drains near each pool, closed with a fragile plastic grate. There was a precedent when a girl stepped on this drain near a children's paddling pool, broke it and fell, injuring her legs and palms in the fall.
Twice a day, there is a water animation on one of the paddling pools, where the animator boys arrange a "disco". As it is, there is no movement here. Mostly in the evenings there are some kind of musical events, but they are designed for adults who are either drinking or smoking at this time, just like all together. The smell of hookah hurts the eyes and prevents you from passing by calmly. The allergy to tobacco finishes completely. There is no entertainment for children except for an evening 30-minute program with dancing, so they will have to be entertained by adults or the same bored children.
You can walk around the entire grid (with the exception of the Spa), in the evening the coastal part is well lit, and you may really be interested in exploring the area. But how long will this interest last? For 5 days?
Rooms. The rooms are large, there is water, and so is the bed. There are yellow marks and stains on the mattresses, a pillowcase with traces of mold came across, had to be changed. The water in the shower is stable, but it has to be regulated. The refrigerator and the air conditioner are working, but you have to somehow get out and insert the card into a special holder so that after you leave, it all continues to work. Otherwise, you will go out of the stuffiness into the stuffiness with a heat of 40 degrees and enjoy a melted refrigerator. Some solutions in the rooms raise questions, the quality of cleaning is also so-so. They caught that the towels from the floor that needed to be changed were folded and returned back. You can leave tips, but it's not a fact that the situation will be much better.
And the Internet. Oh, that's a separate topic! You can connect to Moga@RedSeaHotels for money, which catches throughout the grid. You can use roaming data transfer and spend about $70 in 2 weeks. Of course, there is little pleasure in this. And data transfer does not work everywhere, and even in the room it is not a fact that it will work. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel, friends! Free internet in the lobby! Which catches only in the lobby, intermittently and only until the evening, because in the evening there is a whole room full of the same fans of free WiFi, and the network simply cannot withstand such traffic. If you and your children, who are always stuck in phones, need relaxation and rest from gadgets - welcome to the amazing Red Sea Hotels chain! But are you ready to pay so much for this additional service that is not listed on any site?
Bottom line: 5 stars are here only on paper and in the pretentious pathos of the hotel, in fact it is a four that is not worth the money.
I have been choosing a hotel for a long time, the prices are horse-drawn everywhere, I chose this hotel.
We flew for 7 days from 03/31/07/04 for 176,000rubles with departure from Moscow, by Aeroflot.
I'm writing a review for people like me 😅
It is important to note
1) do not compare with Turkey
2) you leave 1-2 dollars for tea everywhere, we sometimes left 50 rubles each (they call it baksheesh and they do it that way)
3) the staff does not know Russian, but you don't have to worry about it, you can use an interpreter and the hotel has a guide
4) horse prices for excursions from a tour operator, buy a satellite on the website, they are profitable, went on 3 excursions, were satisfied.
+
I read reviews everywhere, they write that poor nutrition for 3, complete nonsense -_-
There are more than 6 restaurants on site, a buffet, a grill, burgers and potatoes in the bars, all as we like. The food is excellent, there are a lot of melons, there were strawberries. We didn't get poisoned, there are no complaints about local alcohol. The beer, by the way, is very tasty.
Beautiful and huge territory?, you can even get lost. You can also go to other hotels, in general there is a place to walk.
An ideal place for snorkeling, buy a round ozone mask in advance, it is very comfortable, there are 2 piers nearby, a lot of fish, beautiful reefs, one pleasure.
Normal staff, politely communicated, joked, only upon arrival there was one conflict at the reception and then they had Ramadan, freaked out without cigarettes and food, then asked for forgiveness
We paid $ 20 extra for a standard room,

There is no sandy entrance to the sea, take special slippers, the water will be waist-deep for a long time, but in general it was great for us from the pier
The rooms are tired, but the bed linen is clean, the towels are clean, we only came to sleep, in fact it does not matter
A great hotel, with a huge area for walking, the staff is helpful.
Good cuisine. A convenient beach and within walking distance you can swim from a pontoon.
We were in February 23rd. I liked the hotel as a whole, it's a family of 10 hotels, you can walk everywhere except makadi spa (you can't go inside with children). The territory is large, beautiful, the room was large, the furniture was a little outdated, the TV was tube-mounted with 1 channel in Russian. WiFi is free at the reception. There are many pools, the water in them is cool. The kitchen is all there, the meat is dry and not tasty. Fish is one kind of dinner, also for an amateur. The food in my opinion is 3 stars. All the disadvantages are covered by the reef, it's just beauty. The most important accessory is a mask and a tube! The hotel has a bad entry into the sea, you have to walk 800 meters all the way to the right and dive and watch.
Beautiful territory, we had a good room with a balcony, the staff reacted quickly to complaints. The renovation is very old, the water in the room is weak. It is a very long entrance to the sea, but you can walk to a deep place. The water is clean and warm.
The food is not very tasty, it's the same every day. They are constantly trying to sell cocktails, smoothies and alcohol. (all inclusive!). They ask for tips for everything, sometimes aggressively. On the beach, people come with massages, souvenirs, photographers, etc. To get rid of a lot, they take offense at the refusal. You feel awkward all the time.
I do not recommend it. The food is very poor, the 5* hotel does not provide toiletries. There is no hot water. Inconvenient entrance to the sea. Daily ebbs.
