Great hotel. Very convenient location, tram, metro in 5 minutes walk. There is an excellent exchanger on the corner with a good exchange rate. The rooms are clean and spacious. The room is cleaned every day.
The breakfast is varied and very tasty.
Special thanks to the manager of the Orhan Hotel. He is very attentive, polite, speaks and understands Russian well. I familiarized myself with the excursions (I did not impose, which was very pleasant). the excursions that we visited had an amazing time🥳
We had a plane at night, we were allowed to leave our things and walk around the city.
Overall, the hotel exceeded all expectations.
I definitely RECOMMEND IT!!!
We stayed with the family for 5 days, booked on Yandex Travel.
Pros: very convenient location, within walking distance of the metro: Aksaray and Venegiler (use the Yandex Metro app, just change the city in the settings). There is a super profitable exchange from dollars to lira on the corner, there is the Walide Sultan mosque, the tram stop is a 3-minute walk away: it goes to all the main attractions, and if you get to the final Kabatash and take the funicular, you can get to Taksim and Istiklal. There is a Migros jet store.
The very friendly staff at the reception, at breakfast, and the hostesses left a pleasant impression. Cleaning service every day, there is coffee/tea, a bottle of water per person. We were greeted with Turkish tea
Cons: the picture and reality are very different, look at the photos of tourists and real reviews, I did not pay attention to this, I liked the photos from the website, there is mold in the shower, the toilet is "tired", the room is very cold, you need to ask the reception to turn on the air conditioner, towels and linen with yellow and brown spots (moderation did not miss such photos), the breakfast is standard, every day is the same.
If you are not picky about the environment / cleanliness, then this option is perfect for 4-5 days.
Nearby there is a budget dining room Balkan Lokantasi. A 15-20-minute walk away is the Suleymaniye Mosque, where Sultan Suleiman, Hurrem Sultan, and others are buried.
It takes about an hour by metro from the new airport to the Venegiler station (you buy a PTT card at the airport for travel and then take the green line of the Istanbul Card).
Polite staff, Russian-speaking, modest but clean and cozy in the center of the old town there are four tram stops to the Blue Mosque, there is also the St. Sophia Church
You can eat on any budget, depending on your preference, there is a McDuck nearby, and a djizakh cafe, in the latter menu as in Moscow, in the canteens of Uzbek cuisine
There is a cafe in Zurich, but the prices for a NARROW cafe are much higher, a young guy from Tajikistan told us everything at the hotel, he is studying in Istanbul
Actually, the city is very beautiful and contrasting, it combines both bygone eras and modernity.
We liked the hotel, it was quite pleasant from the outside and from the inside, we only came to spend the night. There are all amenities: slippers, towels, shower gel, shampoo, soap, hot water, hair dryer, refrigerator, air conditioning (heated), kettle, coffee bags and tea, water was brought every day, you can ask for an iron at the reception for free, laundry services are available. The rooms are clean, cleaned every day. The breakfast table is the same, but everyone will find something for themselves: scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, vegetables, cereals, several types of sausages and cheeses, desserts, and even salads. Friendly staff, some speak Russian. It is often said in the comments that the rooms are cramped, but it was quite comfortable for two of us. The window in the room overlooked the wall, but this is even better - there is no noise from the road, which would be on the street side. Of course, it is clear that the hotel is tired: wallpaper is coming off somewhere, a small mold in the shower, etc., but in general it did not spoil the impression.
We stayed at this hotel from 30.08 to 04.09. 2024. We didn't find any disadvantages. The staff is very friendly and courteous, they will help with everything. There are Russian-speaking staff. Very clean everywhere, cleaning for 5+ every day, towels, bed are all clean and snow-white. Bath accessories are present, of good quality. The breakfasts are sooo delicious, there are many types of dishes: cheeses, sausages, olives, boiled egg, omelette, salads, vegetables,🍉, 🍈 pastries,. They always add it if something ends. The coffee is hardware, but you can ask for Turkish coffee. No one will go hungry. All attractions are within walking distance. Nearby stop T1 and others. We booked through Booking, the card payment did not go through, we contacted the owner by mail and Whatsapp, we went to a meeting and we paid on arrival in cash. We ordered a transfer, everything was clear and simple. Everything was quickly found at the airport and we were sent comfortably. We will definitely return to this hotel again and again. Thank you very much to Orhan and the rest of the staff for a pleasant 5 days spent at your hotel. Happiness and prosperity to you and your business. Thanks for everything 🙏
We chose this hotel based on the reviews on the booking and were not mistaken!) The hotel owner greets the guests, a very pleasant person, speaks excellent Russian. He told me everything in detail, recommended a delicious cafe nearby, excursions.
The hotels have SPA services. It deserves a special emphasis! We took a "package" of services : hammam, massage, swimming pool, saunas. The masseuse's hands are magical, Aisha, she just revived us after our long journey)) Thank you very much, I definitely recommend it!!
The hotel has a very pleasant service, Turkish tea is served to guests upon arrival, a trifle, but it's nice))
We took a standard 2-bed room, we were given a 3-bed room without extra charge, thank you!
The hotel is quite decent for its three stars. The buffet breakfast is not particularly varied, but you can eat enough. And by the way, what is important, unlimited drinks! (As a digression, I will write that we were in another hotel using the buffet system, so the bartender makes drinks there, and one more for one person. Honestly, I met this for the first time.)
The room is good, in terms of cleaning, of course, do not expect perfect cleanliness - this is a problem in many hotels in Turkey.
Of the cons, this is a swimming pool. $10 per person, we came to the opening, began to swim, and there was also dirt with us😞 Of course, they left after that. As a result, for 20 minutes of the pool (along with changing clothes), they gave $ 30 for three.
On the plus side, the reception is always
we are ready to help, very responsive guys. The guys offer excursions, the most budget-friendly for the price. I recommend. We took a lot of excursions, and there, in communication with people from other hotels, we learned that the prices in our hotel for these excursions are the cheapest.
In general, it is a good hotel in its segment.
A great hotel to stay for a few days in Istanbul. In general, the staff is quite neat and polite. The breakfasts are European cuisine. There is a safe, a refrigerator. 15 minutes walk to the historical center
It's a great place, the guys at the reception especially liked it, they speak excellent Russian, they always help and prompt you with any questions. I also liked the staff and the breakfasts. the only thing missing is a spacious pool, but that's a quibble :)
When booking through Booking, I was very worried when choosing a hotel, because there was a lot of negativity. My son picked up the Meretto hotel for my daughter and me. The transfer from the airport was organized well, we got there comfortably. The room was checked in immediately. The room is clean, tidy, all appliances and plumbing are working, there are no problems with repairs (as in the description of other hotels). There is cleaning every day, the bed is changed every other day, towels every day. Breakfast is served on the terrace of the 6th floor, the diet is varied, there is a choice. We went out well-fed and traveled around the city. Every day the administration asked if there were any problems. Transportation is nearby, even the Havaist bus to the airport. The price + quality rating is 5. I recommend it.
We chose the hotel based on the reviews on the booking and were not mistaken. Service 11/10. Clean rooms and delicious breakfast 👍 the location is quite convenient, because the main attractions are within a 30-minute walk.
A wonderful hotel! The rooms are not very large, but there is everything you need for a week-long stay. The rooms are clean, not old and not "killed", cleaning daily, I did not track the change of linen, but I did not even notice a hint of discomfort. There is a nuance in the distribution of rooms, this happens at the time of check-in, when booking a room, you do not know whether you will live on the front of the hotel with a French balcony, or with windows into a small courtyard, without a balcony. We were settled with Windows facing the courtyard, BUT we were ready to move into the first available room with a balcony. We refused, because it is definitely quieter to live with windows facing the courtyard, and if you yourself like to make noise in the evening) you will not bother anyone). The breakfast is excellent, a set of food for every taste, takes place on the 6th floor, where there is also an outdoor terrace where you can smoke a cigarette with a cup of coffee (this is important for me, and in general there are no problems with smoking, you can smoke in the room by opening the window, without fear of getting a fine). You can also freely stay on this terrace throughout the day, even with your own drinks, there is a bar for those who wish.
And of course, special thanks to the hotel staff!!! Everything is very polite and friendly!!!))). There are both English-speaking and Russian-speaking employees (Arhan has a separate respect!). They will always help, they will tell you everything. You can buy tickets for the main excursions, a local SIM card in your phone, and there is also an option to order food in the room. Thank you so much, we were satisfied!!! There are no complaints.
5+ service, very friendly staff, great fellows ,delicious varied breakfasts , clean room, everything you need is there.room cleaning every day ,fresh white towels 👍👍The location is convenient ,the tram stop is 100 meters away, the metro is nearby ,the location is on the market ,there are a lot of shops, but at the same time the room is quiet 👍
A small hotel with a good location. Laleli wholesale shops are nearby. The tram line is a two-minute walk away. There is a shop in front of the hotel that is open until late at night. There is an exchange office nearby ( the exchange rate is normal , I saw much worse ) . On the side of the hotel, if you go to the tram, there is a small cafe with quite tasty food, especially the first courses .
We ordered a transfer from the airport (cost $ 50) and a comfortable minivan arrived. There was a Russian-speaking girl at the reception.
The rooms are small, but everything is there. Daily cleaning ( up to perfect cleanliness ) . I was surprised when all the things on the bedside table were neatly put in a drawer. Towels are also changed every day.
In general, if you plan to go to buy things, you can stay at this hotel)) if the task is to visit the sights on foot, then choose hotels in the Grand Bazaar area (it will be closer this way )
A good location. Friendly reception. Good breakfast on the top floor.
Of the cons: good acoustics, on Sunday cleaning on the floor began at 8.00.
The spa was closed for repairs, which was not warned.
Of course, you should not expect a "wow" effect from him, but in general everything is quite decent - small but clean rooms, breakfast. The location is great, a couple of minutes on foot and a tram stop that goes to all tourist places. The staff is also on top, some administrators speak Russian perfectly
Great hotel. Comfortable rooms, pleasant service. It was the first time we visited this hotel, and we were very satisfied. Especially transport accessibility. The service exceeded expectations
A great hotel for its price. The rooms are small, but clean and tidy. Cleaning every day - change towels, report accessories, bring water, tea, coffee. The breakfasts are good, there is always plenty to choose from, you will not stay hungry. The staff is friendly, Russian speakers are always at the reception. The location of the hotel is excellent, all types of transport are nearby and attractions are nearby. I recommend
Lived in this hotel in November 2023.
Let's start with why I booked it, Tinkov threw cashback from OneTwoTrip partners, I decided to look at hotels on this aggregator and the choice fell on THIS.
After looking at the reviews on the Booking, and a couple of other resources, I realized that this is not a bad hotel and booked it, and a week later I already received cashback. This is where all the positive ones ended.
I booked a standard room (NOT ON the GROUND FLOOR), which is extremely important. According to the pictures, this is a clean, bright room.
Upon check-in, the most interesting thing begins: - at the reception it turns out that I booked a room on the ground floor and immediately offered to move to a standard room for $ 50, which I booked in advance. We look at it-of course it is better than it was, but (!) 8 or 9 square meters with a small bed 140 cm, but they did not find out from the road and settled in.
During the rest, sometimes the doors to other rooms were open and believe me, they were better, but not wow. Just at least as light as in the photo
There is no sound insulation at all, even in the corridors there is no carpet, which means that we heard every check-in/check-out and a suitcase rolling along the corridor. There are also surprises that the pool is not included in the price, as it was stated on the website.
The towels are torn, the bed linen has never been replaced in 5 days, well, at least they were cleaned more or less. There is a dirty tile in the bathtub, which is disgusting to wash.
Breakfast is probably the most positive thing that we got from this hotel - not a bad buffet where you can have a hearty meal.
Do not believe the rating of 5, their real rating is 2, not 0 just because there was not a bad breakfast and proximity to the tram that goes to Galata port.
the best hotel for your money. the staff and manager are super. and the location is also very convenient. 100 meters tram stop, 700 meters metro stop. weight the staff is very responsive
I liked the hotel. Friendly staff. The room was small, with a balcony. The maids cleaned very well. Plus breakfast with a good selection. We were at the hotel for the New Year. There is a sauna (for an additional fee).
The hotel left a pleasant impression, I want to return.
Stayed with my wife in Meretto Old City from January 4 to January 8, 2022. A small, cozy hotel. Clean, comfortable, good breakfasts. The staff is very friendly. Check-in and check-out are beyond praise. Special thanks to the guys at the reception Bayram and Saddula. They helped a lot . A big plus of the hotel is the Russian-speaking reception. The location of the hotel is wonderful, Aksaray metro station is within walking distance. We want to mention the representative of Tui Ali, everything was clear. Thanks for the rest (and the weather did not disappoint) Eugene Olga.
A really nice hotel. The rooms are the most ordinary standard, there is nothing special about them, but the hotel is located in one of the busiest streets of Istanbul, especially in Laleli. There is everything you need and more nearby. Very close to the old part of the city near the tram line and metro. The location is one of the best. There is a spa and a swimming pool and also a great view from their restaurant which is located on the 6th floor.
The review does not concern the hotel, but its attitude to booking. I booked a room about a week in advance, received confirmation from yandex.travel and paid. I contacted the hotel directly to make sure that the reservation was up to date and to inform the time of our arrival, and received confirmation from the hotel. Then, the day before arrival, the hotel (via me.travel) reports a "technical error", the inability to provide the booked room and offers a room in the basement (basement) without Windows. At the same time, on me.when traveling, it could be booked on our date and on our terms, only the price increased from 10 thousand to 23 thousand - Eid al-Adha was in Turkey. I refused such a replacement. To my credit, I am.of course, the money was returned to me in 2-3 days. However, we had to quickly look for a replacement for the hotel.
I liked the hotel as a whole. The food is good, varied, the rooms are cleaned carefully, there is a big question about the staff... if you are from Russia, keep in mind that three times you are definitely left from room to room, without windows, with a view of the sewer pipes. The attitude towards guests from Russia and other countries varies greatly.
The price is not justified and is too high for this level of comfort. Tired renovation, the room needs updating. Photos from booking.com they do not correspond to reality. They moved into a room with shabby wallpaper, the window was broken and would not close. The window was repaired the next day. The area is very noisy. The maid constantly urged us to leave the room so that she could get out as soon as possible. The cleaning is not too clean, there is mold in some places in the bathroom. You need to pay extra for the pool and spa services and I would not recommend doing this. The hotel simply does not have a lobby, the constantly sitting staff in front of the reception is annoying. Breakfast is below average. When ordering a transfer to Sabiha Gokcem Airport, the hotel reception did not give full information about the additional cost of the toll road. The taxi driver demanded to pay extra. I recommend a maximum of one night
I don't know how to stay, but booking is a complete mess.We booked through Booking, it says that without prepayment, I tried to withdraw money in two days, I couldn't withdraw it, and I didn't react in any way to correspondence that we would pay on arrival.Well, let's look for where to take our money. There are a lot of hotels in Istanbul.
After arriving in Istanbul, I was checked in not to my meretto laleli hotel, but to this one since there is one grid, they said for one night. The next morning, I packed my things, checked in the room and walked to my hotel by myself. And in the end, they told me there are no places here. Go back.
I came back, and in this hotel they put me in a basement room with a piss-stained toilet paper and a view of the heels from the window. Half of the staff do not speak English, much less Russian. As a result, I was told that the error occurred because the Russian-speaking manager was on the weekend)) and they barely understand English there
I don't recommend it for all this mess and for the attitude of the managers.
In the room, all the bed linen was stained, the blanket was torn in several places, with puffs and also with stains. None of the lights in the room worked, except for the main light in the center of the ceiling. If you stay in room 201, be prepared for the strong smell of cigarettes in the toilet every day (the staff smokes on the 1st and 0 floors, all the smoke rises upstairs). There is no iron in the room, and there are no bathrobes either. The phone on the wall doesn't work in the toilet! The renovation is tired, the furniture is too.
