A wonderful little museum, and a free audio guide in Armenian, Russian, and English is available for all three halls. The first dwelling, the historical moments of the territory of present-day Yerevan, as well as the Soviet period are described. Thanks to the museum staff!

A small exhibit (about a third of it is early 20th century furniture and all sorts of household items from a junk shop) and an incompetent tour guide. In her opinion, there was about nothing from Urartian Erebuni to Paskevich (I quote: "eastern type settlement" - did not receive answers to clarifying questions). And after Paskevich, there was supposedly an "Armenian region" headed by a "governor", there was no provincial center here. To a direct question about the Erivan province, I received the answer that I was confusing something. The black ceramics were aged by the guide to 15-20 thousand years - when we were surprised and pointed at the museum labels in the windows, the guide said that there was a mistake and she would tell us to fix it))). The Great Silk Road, in her opinion, was also formed in prehistoric times. But she told me about the names of the parts of the costumes and what the ornaments on prehistoric ceramics symbolized (apparently, the ancient people told her in secret).

I visited the Yerevan History Museum and was amazed by its expositions. Here you can learn a lot of interesting things about the past and present of the city. The museum presents the history of the city from ancient times to the present day. I learned a lot about the culture and traditions of the Armenians, how the city developed and what events took place in its history. In addition, I was impressed that the museum provides an opportunity for visitors to feel part of the city's history. I recommend everyone to visit this wonderful museum!

Beautiful museum building, good location. At the time of the summer of 2024, the ticket costs 1,500. The museum includes three floors, the third floor is stuffy. There is a toilet on -1. The museum is interesting and informative. There is a small souvenir shop. There is an audio guide for free on a special website or in an application (but it is only available for the first hall).

Nice museum on 3 floors. We were on a working day, there weren't many people. We found an online tour of this museum, as there were no people, and listened to it from beginning to end.I liked it, I recommend you to visit.

A pleasant museum, several floors, but not very large, can be quickly bypassed. I took a private tour. I really liked it: I was told in detail about the origin of the city from ancient times to the present day. For anyone who is interested in diving into the places you visit, I recommend going to such museums with guides. Everything becomes clear, laid out on the shelves and very developing.

In my opinion, this is the best place to get acquainted with the history of beautiful Yerevan for the first time. The ticket price is 1500 AMD. Three floors of antiques , paintings , excavation items . Made with love and taste. I recommend you to visit on about the third day of your stay in Yerevan, when you will love this beautiful city and want to learn more about it)❤️

A good exposition, an inexpensive tour in Russian, and since there were no other tourists at that time, it also turned out to be individual. The guide is a young girl who answered all our questions.

An interesting, balanced and rich composition of exhibits on a fairly small area. There are unique ancient and modern objects. There are few inscriptions in Russian or English. We took a guide - we recommend it. The guide Liana vividly and interestingly told about all parts of the exhibition. There is an elevator. There are few souvenirs in the museum store.

A good exposition, it is better to come in the morning, when guided tours are available. There is no audio guide, there is an online audio guide only for the first floor of the three, and sometimes the information in it does not correspond to what is indicated on the plates for the exhibits, which are quite poor in description.

I really liked it! I recommend taking a guide to fully immerse yourself in the history of the city and get answers to all your questions. The guide also recommended a lot of interesting places worth visiting in Yerevan at the end

A cozy and intimate museum on 3 small floors. There are many interesting relics. Russian Russian tourists are not ready yet - the exposition has not been translated into Russian at all (and almost not translated into English). Without an excursion, the visit will be useless There are no computers or interactive devices yet. The guides are very nice, but sometimes they make mistakes. The English garden is so named because it is such a type of garden (wild), and not because of its plan, reminiscent of the British flag. I wish the museum to grow and develop! It would be great if the exhibits formed some kind of narrative.

It's a wonderful museum, but you definitely need to take a guide! Without it, nothing is clear, the explications are short, there are often no numbers on artifacts. Liyana's guide is simply gorgeous!

For those who read the review. Don't look at the number of stars. The entrance to the museum is 1500 amd. The tour is 5000 amd. There is nothing to do there without a guide. The museum is located on the 3rd floor. If we compare it with ours, then this is a museum of local lore, but at the same time with a very rich exposition. I'm telling you why the rating is like this. I ordered (in advance) an excursion for a family of three people. We arrived at the appointed time. And there are three more people standing there, they asked to be taken. My family didn't mind about joining. After all, we have how: you pay for an excursion - say, for 6 people - a fixed price. And the lady at the checkout says: "You are not a group, each family pays 5,000." We replied to her, they say, if so, then there is a guide for each family. In general, we agreed, everything was fine. And a decent girl guide got caught. Not ideological (see my other reviews), but knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the vagaries of the visit did not end there. During the tour, freeloaders tried to join us, that is, those who bought a ticket, but spared money for the tour. In general, I did not learn anything new about my compatriots in terms of behavior abroad. And to be honest, the museum is good and interesting. Since we also took an individual walking tour of Yerevan that day, it turned out very well. Thank you for reading the review to the end!

A great small museum, I strongly advise you to take a tour, call in advance and clarify, it's not so interesting without it, of course P.S. student tickets are sold not only to students of Armenian universities

It's not interesting without a guide. An ordinary museum of the city's history. From pots/pebbles to the keys to the city. There is a great lack of translations and signatures in at least English, especially in the last room

A lovely, cozy little museum (only 3 floors). We took a guide who focused on 5+ and conducted an adaptive tour for children, including. We have replenished our knowledge, and our impressions are only positive. I recommend it!!!

Wonderful exhibits, a classic exposition. The label is in Armenian, English and Russian, temporary exhibitions are only in Armenian. The exposition occupies three floors and there is an elevator. There is no buffet or souvenir shop.
