Many thanks to the city administration for the idea of creating this museum!!
My grandfather was imprisoned in Karlag under the 58th political article, for his religious beliefs! When the camp was disbanded, all the prisoners were released and allowed to take some things with them.Grandpa took the bed and the bedside table. We kept them for many years as a memory, but we decided to give them to the museum so that young people could see what difficult times people had to survive.Thank you to Kazakhstan for sheltering us, and for the fact that they understand that the Almighty has given land to all people, regardless of nation and faith! The museum is wonderful!! I recommend schools for class visits
Thank you to our ancestors for saving the land and giving us the future, I really advise you, a cool place to learn about the past of our ancestors and how they opposed the Russian empire.
Of course, it is small and the operating mode is not convenient, but the main thing is that it exists, there is a memory of the repressed. The staff were very kind, got into the situation and conducted the tour at 17:50, finished after 6. Thank you very much!
Everything is fine, but not enough. Mostly photos. They won't tell a 7-9-year-old child anything. Such a building, as I understand it, the second floor is completely occupied by the management. It is necessary to increase the materials, not only photos but also videos, but at least with puppet scenes or something. My daughter didn't like it. In front of the museum in Victory Park, she learned a lot visually.
