Beautiful and impressive. Of course, the Basilica cistern is bigger and more hyped. But, on the other hand, there are no such hellish queues here as in the Basilica. And there are absolutely amazing video programs here. I highly recommend trying to watch both.
It's a great place. There are fewer famous Cisterns of the Basilica, but firstly there are no queues (we came to the opening and were the only ones) and secondly a beautiful light and music show. It is very suitable for such an atmospheric place.
It is located close to St.Sofia, if you look at the Bosphorus Sofia on the left, and go to the cisterns along the same street on the right to Burger King. Turn left and down at this corner.
It's worth a visit. The ticket was bought there at the ticket office, the price is affordable.
Not far from the cistern of the Basilica there is an equally beautiful cistern of Theodosius. There is a light show every 20 minutes during the day. Entry in June 2024 for a tourist is 650 liras. Children 0-6 are free.
It's just terrible))) 650 lire ~ 1800₽ for what?))
One room with columns and water. And nothing else. From the word at all.
Yes, there is a light show, but it lasts at most 10 minutes.
There is no history, no excursions, just looking at a projector for 1800 rubles. 😂
The place is great, but not for that kind of money.
It's interesting, but it seems to me that the price is too high, since there is not much space there, that's all you can see in the photo and that's it
A place that simply amazes the imagination, a fantastic view that changes depending on the lighting, the perception of this place is simply stunning as magic! Acoustics, majestic columns, reflecting, paint pictures reminiscent of a flooded city.
It's a very interesting place. I accidentally wandered in here and was surprised how well everything was done. The tank itself is small in size, but the light show was impressive! I watched both shows!
I recommend it!
Recently restored basilica cistern. A very interesting place. Be sure to visit. Better with a guide. He will tell you a lot of interesting things about the tank.
This is an incredible place. You go inside, well, the room and the room.... Old columns, old walls.... But.... When the light show starts.... It's just creepy. Amazing acoustics, perfect work of lighting specialists. You need to see it live!!! Take a ticket to two shows at once, you won't regret it!!!! This is something incredible!!!!!
A very beautiful cistern. There are few people, the staff is friendly
Every 30 minutes there is a mapping show that tells the story of Turkey quickly. The Fall of Empires and how Ataturk Wove Modern Turkey
Great location. It is ideal in the heat and a great opportunity to hide from the drizzling rain. Admission costs 600 lire. There is a gift shop at the exit
This place is a must-visit for everyone who will be in Istanbul. A grandiose structure, striking in its scale and originality. Modern art compositions are unobtrusively woven into the ancient architecture, surrounded by the end of the world.
The tank itself is interesting and not bad, but very small. The whole point here is essentially in the light of the show. I put 1 star only for the ticket price of 500 lira, which is 1,500 rubles. This tank is not worth it from the word at all.
The laser show is great. The object itself is impressive!!!

A great place to start exploring the sights of the city. One disadvantage is the entrance price, like a wing from an airplane. You only console yourself with the fact that the neighboring tanks are even more expensive.
It's a very cool place, but keep in mind: the tank itself is not very big.
There is one hall where the 3D show is going on. Nothing else.
Considering the cost of entry, you may be disappointed
Cool place one performance 250 tl if 2 350tl for foreigners. I really enjoyed the laser show inside the tank. I've never seen such a mesmerizing show. I really liked it, I recommend it, you will not regret it
We were in the evening, and although we stood in line for 30 minutes, and the ticket price was higher than the daytime, but out of the pleasant: there were few people inside, the surprise was a buffet and musical accompaniment: a duet of a flutist and a guitarist. The evening coolness and humidity of the Cistern is the perfect end to a hot day.
If you are not a fan of history and historical monuments, I think it will be boring.
The light show lasts about 40-45 minutes, tickets cost 450 lira for tourists.
It's very humid and stuffy inside.
It's beautiful, I think it's worth visiting the event once in order to just see this architectural masterpiece with your own eyes)
The Turks started for 5 minutes before closing, although officially they should work for another hour.. they closed earlier for special maintenance, but the money was ripped off and literally kicked out
A small tank with a light show. There are no queues at the entrance and for tickets, there is an elevator. There are unusual sculptures near the entrance.
Very expensive, fantastically boring. I don't understand why the score is 5?
A stuffy, small room with 12 columns and a light show that repeats every 10 minutes.
The people who came with us were also very disappointed.
