An interesting historical place, worth visiting. Unfortunately, they did not sell a ticket including a harem with a strange motivation, like they ran out, so 4 points.
The ticket price is 1,500 lire, which in my opinion is very expensive.. It's certainly interesting here, but it's not worth it. Plus, the audio guide is uninteresting and part of it has not been translated. And it is not always clear which number should be entered for playback
The waiting time is hell..
In the heat, there is a queue of a kilometer to buy a ticket, then a second queue to get a guide headphones..
There are a lot of people, children are screaming..
The palace itself and its location are very beautiful. But there are no expositions at all. Several exhibitions with weapons and dishes, in short, about nothing... The price tag is generally indecently high from 500-650 liras. If you don't walk, you won't lose anything.
You will be charged 500 lire for a walk around the palace grounds! The Sultan's chambers are closed! Other sights of Istanbul are much more interesting and much cheaper.
I paid 990 liras (Topkaps + harem), and for Turkish citizens 200 liras, the mood immediately turned sour. I went because I wanted to for a long time. But, unfortunately, there is nothing to talk about at all. Just stone rooms and buildings. If you expect to see a harem like in a Magnificent Century, do not waste money and time. Just a stone room. 2 stars only for a couple of beautiful exhibition spaces. A huge territory with a garden, basically the whole territory is greenery and a garden. A couple of museums about nothing. A waste of time and money
If you need to go to the toilet, go in advance in front of the entrance near the museum Shop, there are no signs inside it, if you leave the museum, you will not be allowed back, you will have to buy a new ticket, which costs a lot of money
I was saddened by the fact that now there is no separate ticket to enter the Harem. Because we took the excuria to Topkapi and the entrance to the harem is not included there. Only combined tickets to different sections for 650-550 liras are available at the ticket office
It's an incredible place. It begins with the Church of St. Irina, ends with unprecedented treasures. You will definitely come here, you will not regret it.

Of course, the sultan has a big house, but nothing special. I expected more, at least some oriental luxury. Some cramped rooms, passages, the floor is earthen in some places. It's better to go to Sofia again.
To plunge into the life of the harem!
Take cash, the cash register is always free. And take a full ticket, without a harem there is essentially nothing to see.

A huge palace complex on the shore of the Bosphorus, with a huge number of buildings (gazebos, armories, canteens, harem (for a fee).
There are quite large queues during the day, I advise you to lay at least 2-3 hours in order to stop somewhere and watch and listen to the audio guide
There are a lot of negative reviews, which was very surprising. After reading a lot before the visit, we decided to go anyway. And I will say sincerely - they did not regret it. Yes, it's not cheap, but I don't agree to say that there is nothing to watch. We took a museum card (360 lira) and did not regret it either (the queues are just huge). When visiting, the spirit of history is felt, we downloaded a good audio guide in Russian (there are excellent options where they do not load information and on average each location takes 2 minutes -we checked out and walked the entire palace in our rhythm). On the territory there are many museums and weapons, and kitchen utensils, cups, hookahs. Yes, there is not much decoration of the palace, not everything is open, but in general there is something to look at. Walls, architecture, logistics of the building itself. Those who love history will definitely appreciate it. There will be no "expensive-rich" at every step))

Great place! We really liked it. It was interesting.
Delight! The beauty and atmosphere are creepy. If you come to the opening, then there are no crowds. The audio guide is issued only with an identity card.

Very interesting. It's like touching the past.
Unfortunately, the guides were not found, it would be more interesting to work with them, an audio guide was provided
