An ancient city of the 12th century on top of a mountain, It's worth climbing for the spectacular views of the valley, and you are above the clouds.
In fact , one street stretching upwards , there are many shops around .
It's beautiful, it takes your breath away. We went several times and it turned out that in the evening, closer to sunset. With the setting sun, you are provided with stunning photos.
For me, Motovun is now strongly associated with truffle. Truffles are everywhere there - in cafes and restaurants, in shops with food and souvenirs (however, in Croatia the best souvenir is food))). In the surrounding forests, you can try your luck and rent a dog or a pig (yes, a pig)), look for your trbfel. In the shops there are photos of the lucky ones who found the mushroom (mushroom? It doesn't even seem to be a mushroom) the size of a football and the price of such an instance is 50-70 or more thousand euros)).
And what if you get lucky?)
There is a persistent smell of truffles on the streets. I can write a lot about them, stop me))). My companions did not get into it, or rather not everyone appreciated its peculiar "gasoline" smell and taste.. I get high)
And, I can't help but recommend one shop. I won't remember the address, of course, but you won't pass it by going up the street. On the left there is an inconspicuous entrance, and on the wall there are painted porcelain (not Chinese shnyaga) plates. They are so original that you will immediately realize that this is it, the very place!
The wife draws, the husband sells. I'll show you mine, they're already hanging in Moscow. Not cheap, my lobster cost 88 euros after haggling and paying with cash.
I hung tight in this shop, I wanted to at least see everything, if not buy it.
