Externally, the structure looks very majestic and impressive, but it was not possible to get inside and examine in detail what is there and how. It is clear that some parts of the fortress have been lost over time, but what remains is worth a look. There is a park at the foot of the fortress on the site of the old riverbed. The fortress is one of the two most significant attractions of Trabzon (the second is the Hagia Sophia Mosque).

A beautiful old castle. The city is very old, the first castle was built on this site 2000 years ago. I recommend to see, the riverbed has also been dried, a park has been made there, beauty.
