A very beautiful and memorable place. Especially for me, the granddaughter of a soldier who went through the whole war. My grandfather defended Stalingrad, fought in Warsaw, Budapest. He graduated from the war due to injury in a Vienna hospital. My grandfather Mikhail Grigoryevich Vakulenko was that very infamous year of 1923... A year out of which 10 boys are alive, it's good if 1 remained ... A few years ago, I specially drove his route in May through Europe in memory of my grandfather. And I met her on May 9 in Treptov Park. For him. And went to the Reichstag. In memory of him and the soldiers of the Soviet Army. In memory of those who died and who remained alive. Who rebuilt the USSR again. Who, like my grandfather, raised Stalingrad from the ruins and did not like to talk about the war...

Despite the current difficult situation, I would like to say thank you for this park, you immediately note that everything is very well maintained, the lawns are mowed, the huge contribution of the Soviet people to the victory is reflected on the plates in Russian and German. They noted that schoolchildren are brought here for an excursion and we really hope that these excursions do not distort the role of our once huge country in the victory over fascism.

I've been there several times..you can sit on the benches and think...about the past, about the present, about the life that our Fathers and Grandfathers won for us!!!?
