A good hotel with a coastline, along it there are many cafes with a seafood menu, good quality food. The hotel itself is small, the breakfasts are monotonous, the territory is well maintained, the staff is very friendly.
We had a rest here in June 2023 - a wonderful beach, a wonderful hotel, cozy, small, very attentive staff! We were in a room on the ground floor, a beautiful view of the pool and beyond it - the sea! The rooms were cleaned every day, very clean, there was always bottled water, tea, coffee.. The hotel staff was always on duty at the beach. Live music regularly in the evenings, pleasant, with a guitar, one performer. When the hotel was full, there were no people at all, a wide free beach, small waves, it rained once, briefly, for half an hour, despite the fact that there was already a rainy season on the west coast. We had insecticidal treatment on the territory of the hotel once, we were warned in advance.Insects have never been seen in the hotel. There are many cafes around, a wonderful place!
An ideal place for a beach holiday in Sri Lanka in July and August. A clean and large beach, such that with a full hotel, you can still stay very privately on it. A gentle entrance to the ocean, which is convenient if there are children. The food is very diverse, you can always find what everyone likes in a large company. (4 adults and 2 children were on vacation) The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable and clean. There is a pool table. There is a good tour desk - tours are cheaper than searching on your own outside the hotel. It may seem boring if you are a fan of animation programs. But if you are looking for comfort and quiet, then the perfect hotel. There are very decent cafes near the shore with a European approach to the menu (not so spicy dishes)
Excellent hotel on the east coast, large territory, ocean in the 1st line. The rooms are fresh after renovation, we were on the ground floor, where there is access to the pool and the beach immediately. The only problem with the sunbeds was that the staff reluctantly brought them, sometimes even refused, like only mattresses, they had to swear and then they brought them. The kitchen is spicy, I don't know what children eat))) There were practically no Russians in May, 85% of the hotel's guests are Hindus, during the day there is silence on the hotel grounds, it feels like "where are all the people?"))) After talking with our compatriots, we realized that this is one of the best hotels on this coast. Beyond it is the wilderness and the poor(((
Excellent hotel, clean, beautiful, friendly staff. On the ocean, a clean huge beach. Live music every evening. Swimming pool, bars. Rooms are cleaned every day, towels are changed, mattresses and towels are also provided on the beach every day. A large restaurant, the food is mainly focused on local cuisine, but the selection is large, there are a lot of fruits.
Trinco Blu by Cinnamon is a chic hotel on the northeast coast of Sri Lanka with a non–trivial original design of rooms, unusual and interesting bathroom decoration, delightfully picturesque ocean views, good varied cuisine. The spacious rooms had not only tea sets and an iron with ironing board, but even life jackets in the closet in case of a tsunami, which was very impressive. Trincomalee is a Tamil district, not a Sinhalese one (let me remind you that the 30–year war with the Tamils ended only in 2009), but no tension was felt. And on the Pigeon Island of the National Park (Pigeon Island), located 15 km away, you could swim almost hand in hand and fin to fin with reef sharks – that's a real extreme!
The hotel is normal, but there are a lot of admiring reviews. The usual three-piece, the hotel is a package. In the end, we arranged a local concert on the street until 12 at night, we had to get up early and go to the airport. We didn't get enough sleep because of the pounding of the music, even the glass rattled on the windows. The beach is clean, but for the whole hotel I counted about 15-20 sunbeds that were constantly occupied and people had to go to a nearby hotel (cafe) where there are paid and free sunbeds, it was amazing.
A good hotel for your money. But not so much with food. The breakfasts are good, but the dinners... leave much to be desired. We had several cases of fish poisoning.
We stayed at this hotel for the second time with a break of 10 years. We can only say the kindest words. It's worth coming back here. Kind and helpful people
A good hotel and the only one with a very good entrance to the sea. A good dive club-the guys are literate. There are a lot of cafes around with decent service and good cuisine. The hotel has a kitchen, too, everything is fine.
