Not far from Vezha in 1914, the stone Simeon Church was built in the forms of pseudo-Russian architecture. Its three-dimensional composition highlights a tall tower with a hipped roof, which, together with five domes, forms a picturesque silhouette of the building. The location on a green hill led to an extensive zone of compositional influence of the monument. It is also necessary to note the unifying visual connections between Vezha and the church, as well as the importance of the latter as a high-rise and color dominant in the panorama of the settlement.
On 10/20/2024 we visited this church. There are no words for beauty, we walked around the territory, sat on a bench, but it's a shame that we never got inside. We were from 17:00 to 18:30.

The church was built in 1914 at the request of priest Lev Poevsky from Nicholas II. He allocated 50,000 gold rubles for the construction. The temple was not closed, there is an interesting stained oak iconostasis inside.
A beautiful temple on a mountain.
When traveling to the Forest, you can explore
A beautiful church on a hill. The faces on the full-length icons of the saints are painted with amazing love. I have never seen such beautiful faces and soulful eyes of saints anywhere. I was pleasantly surprised by this. I didn't raise my hand to take pictures.
