Pros: the room is unexpectedly large, as is the bathroom, panoramic windows along the entire width of the wall, clean, there was welcome water.
Cons: a hotel where 90% of the guests are Hindus/Pakistanis. Accordingly, the breakfasts are tailored to their preferences (curry, masala tea, etc.). Very thin walls through which you can hear the same Hindus chatting non-stop from 6 a.m., as if right in your ear. Not all toiletries were in the room when checking in. The safe in our room was locked with a code that we didn't know, friends just didn't work. There was no time and effort to deal with this, so they carried everything of value with them.
The rooms were given with separate beds, it is impossible to move them. The mattresses were too soft, they were falling over. The location is far from the center, only by taxi.
I recommend coming to breakfast at closing time, when the whole Hindu crowd has subsided. Once we went down to eat around 9.30, the tables are all occupied, the din is like at a train station, every second someone is loudly moving their chairs (and the chairs are heavy and it's really loud). I lasted only 5 minutes, I couldn't have breakfast that day.
The hotel positions itself as 5 stars, in fact, it barely pulls 3 stars. We were settled on the 10th floor where the room was full of ants, moved to another on the 5th floor for a day. The second room is near the case, not counting the audibility, the walls and double-glazed windows are like cardboard, everything is audible. The hotel is designed for Indian and Arab citizens - the cuisine for breakfast is appropriate - Indian tea, rice with spices, beans, etc. There is a pool on the roof, in principle, relatively not bad. The hotel is located in a very inconvenient location, it is a long walk from it to the center, it is difficult to get a taxi. All the beauty of the hotel that is advertised is the whole casino, but not the Reception and lounge of the hotel. Conclusion: the troika hotel. If you want to get in touch with India or play at the casino, you can go. Definitely not suitable for families with children and those who want to immerse themselves in the culture of Georgia and eat Georgian cuisine.
The hotel itself is very nice, the staff mostly speaks English. Delicious breakfasts, but the location is terrible.. there is a busy highway between the hotel and the embankment without crossings, there are no walking areas on the embankment. on the reverse side there is a private building, ruins and ordinary houses. dogs bark at night. somewhere to walk is not an option at all, only a taxi.
