A small hotel, cozy, the rooms overlooking the sea are beautiful. The choice of dishes for breakfast is small, scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs are prepared to order. For an Asian hotel, I want to note the cleanliness, the absence of garbage. Very attentive staff, helpful people, always helped. The chef is wonderful. There is a small pool, sun beds, beach towels are provided, there is a beach shower. There is a kettle in the room, tea leaves, water every day. Shampoo, hair conditioner, shower gel. Cleaning every day. Tuk tuk is 3 minutes away. Nearby is the Fujisan Cafe, where you can have lunch or dinner. The surf school is next door. There are no big shops nearby, only stalls with water, juices, etc. Geographically, this is the edge of the village, all active life (shops, cafes, music) is a 20-minute walk along the beach.. I personally liked the hotel, for a relaxing stay. It's going to be a little boring for the kids.
The hotel is located in Veligama. There were ordinary rooms, with a sea view, they paid $ 50 extra.
The hotel itself is small, but very cozy and clean. They are cleaned 2 times a day. The breakfasts are modest (buffet).
The kitchen itself, in an amateur hotel, is expensive for a Veligama. The staff is super, polite and caring. They respond to any requests instantly.
The coastal area is clean and the main one is calm. Here you can swim and surf because the hotel has a Surf School. The prices for training are 5k. Rupees. Take just a 500 board.
Be sure to try to learn, because it's very cheap for surfing.
In general, I want to say. It is definitely worth going here. Have a good rest and a nice tan.
An amazing hotel! Some young guys work, but how! They even clean the rooms. 5-star hotels don't clean like that! Wonderful impressions, always go to a meeting, always smiling, ready to help. There were no great expectations from the room, at first they were not settled with an ocean view - they were worried, but! but what a view the palm trees had! We didn't even really want to move in with an ocean view afterwards! Well, the view was also amazing. The minus of the hotel And the simultaneous plus is the location- as far as I'm concerned. But we took a bike and it was even cool for us that there are few Russians around, like in Unawatuna, for example. And there are few people on the beach, which also adds its own vibe. In general, they got high, I advise you. We took the breakfasts, meager, but as if with a soul, they didn't bother us much. When we left for excursions at 3 a.m., for example, we always asked for lunch boxes with us - everything was ready without questions. By the way, I was afraid of all sorts of bugs, they said there were insects everywhere in Sri Lanka, but here we did not find any living creatures except crabs on the beach)) Who will be there - say hello to all the boys))))))
Nice hotel by the ocean! The view from the window is just great! Room cleaning is excellent. Breakfast is a little meager. Restaurant prices are 30% more expensive relative to nearby "restaurants". The nearest mass settlements are 40-45 minutes on foot, 4-6 bus stops, here is a tuk of 600-1000 rupees.
We spent 12 nights at the hotel. Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever been to. There are few people, silence, the food is great (they took breakfast + dinner). It is located far enough from the center of Veligama and far from roads with buses and railways, so apart from the noise of the ocean, nothing will bother you. The staff is insanely polite, attentive and friendly. Some positive emotions remained from the vacation. Just be sure to take a room with an ocean view, otherwise there is no point.
A normal guest house, 3 * very quiet, the ocean is calm, small waves, a couple of cafes nearby, to "civilization" (alcoholic, grocery pharmacy and restaurants) 2.5 km along the beach or 150r.-200r. On tuktuk. The rooms are large and cleaned often. Hair dryer, kettle, water, tea.
A lovely hotel at the end of the bay. Very quiet place right on the beach. The whole party is located about 1.5 km along the picturesque and colorful beach to the Marriott Hotel. The goal was to surf in a non-public place. There are not many surfers, compared to the center of the beach.
Wonderful hotel! A room with an ocean view, a pool right under the windows, a quiet place, friendly staff and the best surf school! The food is delicious, they organized a tour for us. Best vacation ever🥰
The location is high, there is a surf school right on the beach, there is no wild movement of people, and it is calmer to ride. The staff is polite, BUT the hotel itself asks to be looked after. It won't catch your eye right away.
The kitchen, well, you can probably say that since last year (and then there was an amazing chef) it has limped a little, which is a bit disappointing.
In general, only the Location saves.
A great oceanfront hotel, rooms with a bomb view, but it can be noisy if you're a light sleeper. 4 stars for poor cuisine and the prices of food in the cafe are more expensive than in neighboring cafe hotels
A wonderful hotel, very kind and positive staff, everyone is sincerely trying to help and suggest something. Clean and tidy rooms, delicious food. For this money, it's just 10 out of 10!
Very clean and pleasant hotel. Staff and Service 5+. Next to the surf hotel there is a school for local children. A stop at this hotel is a great opportunity to lazily relax near the ocean and actively surf the waves.
