Ukrtelekom is the first Ukrainian operator to receive a license to provide 3G — UMTS communication services at a frequency of 2100 MHz (previously the U'tel trademark was used). Thanks to the HSDPA (3.5G) add-on, it theoretically supports mobile Internet speeds of up to 7.2 Mbit/s for receiving data. The existing cellular network of Ukrtelekom provides communication in regional centers, large cities and a number of settlements that attract the greatest interest from the point of view of tourism. For the rest of the territory, Kyivstar acts as a national roaming partner, providing Ukrtelekom subscribers with communication almost throughout the country without charging an additional roaming tariff for voice communication services. However, the quality of communication in national roaming is reduced to the GSM standard and, as a rule, promotional pricing and package services do not work. GPRS or EDGE is used for data transmission in national roaming, and the cost of traffic increases several times.
Basic services on the 3G network:
Voice services
Video call (front camera is not required)
High-speed mobile Internet (up to 7.2 Mbps)
VPN MPLS anywhere in the country (highly secure corporate network)
Video surveillance, etc.
