Yesterday, on September 22, the Department of Social Protection of the city of Mogilev and the Council of Veterans organized solemn events and sports competitions dedicated to the Day of the Elderly at the stadium near the Torpedo stadium.First there was a solemn line-up, and then sports competitions were held and artists of the social center performed. Competitions were held in air rifle shooting , darts , throwing , the accuracy of hitting various projectiles similar to pucks , there was a basketball basket and it was necessary to hit the ball , pins were knocked down with a large ball , etc . But the competition called "the fisherman looked especially interesting. Participants were provided with a type of fishing rod with a cord similar to a fishing line, at the end of which a ring is tied. There was a bottle in front of each participant and it was necessary to put a ring on the bottle from a distance. To be objective, it was difficult to put the ring on some necks with your hands. All competitions are interesting and aroused genuine interest among us, pensioners. There were about 20 teams, so there was a lot of competition. The principle of the distribution of places in the individual competition is fair: with the same results, the winner is the one who is older in age. I took part in the competition myself and did not plan to write at first, so there are few photos. At the end of the event, the collectives of the Oktyabrsky and Leninsky district social centers showed several dance numbers. When summing up the results, the winners were awarded prizes. The event was a success. Our officials can work with the people if they want to!
