The guest house, the hostess is friendly, the atmosphere is a bit Soviet, but spending the night for this price is a great option. Is there a place to park the car
I will write about this place, something that you will not see in the photo:
1. It's very dirty, to the point of nausea. An unwashed toilet, shower and sink. This is not a guest house, a dirty family lives there all the time.
2. Suffocating cat smell in the room, already had a headache and couldn't sleep after a sleepless night at the border. Note to allergy sufferers!
3. Ice water in the shower. It wasn't warm at all.
4. A very curious hostess, an interrogation with passion - until she realized that we urgently need to sleep.
It's a pity the hotel was all occupied. Such guest houses are roulette. We were no longer able to look for another house after the border at 16 o'clock, although my husband is allergic to cats and it's just disgusting there😭
It was May 8, 2023. We drove around half of the Republic of Belarus and decided to stop in Polotsk, as we wanted to get to Vitebsk on May 9th, but due to fatigue we did not make it. That's not the point. Having called several hotels, we did not find anything in terms of location, availability, and here, just in the direction we need this "manor", I dare say. And so. They called and said that we needed a room for two, the hostess replied that there was a room for 4. Well, OK... we agreed on the price. For a moment, we had American rubles and Russian rubles, but there were no Belarusian rubles. We agreed on 1,700 Russian (not a fig for the price tag) well, okay, the choice was either to sleep in the car or take a shower (naive) and sleep like people in a big bed and warm (I repeat, naive). So, we arrive, and it's the 12th hour of the night, to this ... place, the hostess met us, the husband says, let's go see at least what's there, the hostess, by the way, was outraged, like they pay right away, then they pass (aha!). In general, my husband came in, he says, not a suite, but it's okay to spend the night. Well, normal is normal.. The husband's word is the law. We go in general, give the hostess the money and then she says that the departure is at 9.30, at 10 am maximum, she needs to leave, she will close everything here. Is it okay? It's called getting enough sleep from the road. Okay, I think it doesn't matter, now quickly take a shower and get into a warm (naive) crib.
The room (which turned out to be a room on the second floor) is clearly not a suite, not even a junior suite, not even with a modern renovation. An ordinary living room, at the same time, the sofa is short, even for me, with a height of 156 cm, my legs hung down... an armchair bed (well, we were without a child), baby elephants broke... The cold is terrible!!!!! The shower is on the ground floor. Well, the toilet is nearby… About the shower - you walk barefoot on the cold floor (since you take off your shoes at the entrance to the house, and somehow we don't take slippers with us on the road for some reason), you stomp back on the dirty cold floor to the second floor…
Cat stink.. wool, by the way, is also present, as is the cat that rubs in the shared kitchen…
In general, there are a lot of impressions, of the positive ones - we did not sleep in the car!
